Prime Energy joins global association of gas

producers

PRIME Energy Resources Development B.V. said Thursday it became the 88th member of the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers—a global forum for the upstream industry in the areas of health, safety, security and environment, engineering, industry and energy transitions.

“Our membership of the IOGP, alongside other industry trailblazers, cements our position as an exploration company with established expertise and credibility, especially as the operator of the Malampaya project.

Our vision for a cleaner energy Philippines aligns with IOGP’s advocacy to promote a reliable and sustainable energy supply,” Prime Energy managing director Sebastian Quiniones Jr. said. As the operator of the Malampaya gas field, which supplies a significant amount of the Philippines’ energy requirement, Prime Energy’s membership with the prestigious international organization reinforces its commitment to upholding the highest standards for HSSE.

Prime Energy, a subsidiary of Prime Infrastructure Capital Inc., is a natural gas exploration and development company. It owns the 45-percent operating interest in Service Contract 38, or the Malampaya deep water gas-to-power project, supplying 20 percent of Luzon’s electricity requirements. Alena Mae S. Flores

Training program launched to boost PH coconut exports

PHILIPPINE coconut exporters of virgin coconut oil and coconut flour will benefit from export marketing and market linkages training to be implemented from April to December 2023.

The announcement was made at the virtual launching ceremony of the training program attended by 55 selected exporters, national trainers and government representatives. About 30 selected micro, small, and medium enterprises will receive technical support to build an export brand, prepare for business deals and develop an export marketing plan.

The MSMEs will be guided by local and international experts in drafting export marketing plans to strengthen and expand their export position and support their international business development. They will also be trained on effective participation in trade fairs, sales negotiations and other relevant skills that will be crucial to their export expansion initiatives.

Exporters will also benefit from participation support in selected trade fairs such as Thaifex in Thailand in May and Anuga in Germany in October this year.

“With the shared aspiration and commitment of participating MSMEs, government and project partners to position the Philippines as a reliable exporter of high-value coconut products, we are confident that this training will be instrumental in achieving exporting breakthroughs for the coconut sector, and in unlocking the country’s unrealized export potential, especially in the EU,” said DTI assistant secretary Glenn Peñaranda.

Haus Talk launches Binan housing complex HAUS Talk Inc. said it launched The Granary, a 10-hectare economic housing complex in Biñan, Laguna. It said the development features an allocation of 40 percent of its total land area for common use including relatively wider road networks and open spaces when compared to other similar segment offerings. Amenities for the residents are also in the plan such as those found in more premium residential developments like a clubhouse, chapel and sports facilities. The Granary’s units have a price point of P2.5 million.

Haus Talk began marketing in February for the first phase and has since sold over two hundred units of two-bedroom townhouses. The company attributed the strong demand for The Granary units to competitive pricing of homes that are ideally located and sold through a strong network of trusted and competent agents.

“We are excited to see the uptake of our product given that we only began marketing two months ago.

Our team spent a long time on planning to ensure that we can provide a community that is affordable for families yet evokes a more premium quality in terms of design of the homes and the surroundings they will be in,” said HTI president Maria Rachel Madlambayan.
