Commissioner Marlon Casquejo Casquejo said that if the Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) and City Board of Canvassers (CBOC) are able to fully transmit their results, the Comelec could proclaim the winners soon. The Comelec, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers for senators and party-list racers, resumed session on Tuesday at 1:17 p.m., but suspended its canvass after no complete certificates of canvass were received. Only 20 out of 83 provincial certifi-
cates of canvass (COCs) were transmitted as of 2:33 p.m. The endorsement of President Rodrigo Duterte, whose approval rating remains high, was a big factor for his leading the just-concluded senatorial race, said actor Robin Padilla.
