HE Department of Health on Saturday said it has detected a different COVID-19 variant – the B.1.1.203 – in a traveler who arrived from South Africa last month as the Philippine Genome Center urged DOH-accredited laboratories to hasten their submission of samples with the country bracing for the entry of the more transmissible Omicron strain.

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has issued an executive Order transferring the power to take over ailing electric cooperatives from the National Electrification Administration to the Office of the President.

Under EO No. 156, the President may assume control of what could be considered as an “ailing” electric cooperative based on implementing rules and regulations under Republic Act No. 10531 or the NEA Reform Act of 2013.

Oil prices to increase

by P1.50/L AFTER five consecutive weeks of oil price rollbacks, pump prices are expected to increase by as much as P1.50 per liter on Tuesday.

In its oil forecast for the Dec. 14 to 20 trading week, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel may go up by P1.30 to P1.40.

MMDA allows motorcades, rallies for May 2022 polls

HE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Saturday said it will allow motorcades and other street rallies related to the upcoming May 2022 elections even before the start of the official campaign period for national candidates in February.

MMDA general manager Don Artes said he finds no premature campaigning in the series of caravans and other political activities being made by presidential candidates even such events can cause traffic on major thoroughfares.

“Even the Comelec sees no problem with that.

Based on their regulation, there is no premature

campaigning there. The candidates didn’t ask the people to vote for them during those rallies. What they are doing in those rallies is part of (our) freedom of expression,” said Artes.

“On the part of MMDA, what we are doing is to regulate them on how not to obstruct traffic and affect our motorists,” he added.

Artes made the statement as the MMDA was preparing for this (Sunday) morning scheduled motorcade of presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte that will affect streets and major roads in cities of Pasay, Makati, and Quezon City.

The MMDA expects the event will be attended by at least 300,000 individuals.

Artes said they will penalize event organizers if they are caught violating guidelines set by the MMDA for motorcades and other street campaign rallies.

“We will issue citation tickets for road obstruction for the organizers and also jaywalking for the crowd that will cause traffic,” said Artes.

The MMDA stated that organizers must secure a permit from the agency and local government units before they conduct rallies.

ACCEPTING her Nobel Peace Prize on Friday, Philippine journalist Maria Ressa launched a vitriolic attack against US tech giants, accusing them of fueling a flood of “toxic sludge” on social media.

Ressa, the co-founder of news website Rappler, accepted this year’s prize at a ceremony at Oslo’s City Hall together with her co-laureate Dmitry Muratov, the editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta, one of the rare independent newspapers in a Russian media landscape largely under state control.

Speaking to a scaled-down crowd due to the pandemic, 58-year-old Ressa attacked “American internet companies” such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube without mentioning them by name.

“With its god-like power”, their technology “has allowed a virus of lies to infect each of us, pitting us against each other, bringing out our fears, anger and hate, and setting the stage for the rise of authoritarians and dictators around the world,” she said.

“Our greatest need today is to transform that hate and violence, the toxic sludge that’s coursing through our information ecosystem, prioritised by American internet companies that make more money by spreading that hate and triggering the worst in us,” she said. AFP

HOUSE Deputy Minority leader and Bayan Muna Representative Carlos Isagani Zarate on Saturday said there were “glaring errors” in the new P1000 bank notes, recently unveiled by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Zarate also said the BSP should correct these errors in the new design.

China brands US democracy ‘weapon of mass destruction’

CHINA branded US democracy a “weapon of mass destruction” on Saturday, following the US-organized Summit for Democracy which aimed to shore up like-minded allies in the face of autocratic regimes.

China was left out of the two-day virtual summit – along with countries

including Russia and Hungary – and responded by angrily accusing US President Joe Biden of stoking Cold War-era ideological divides. “’Democracy’ has long become a ‘weapon of mass destruction’ used by the US to interfere in other countries,” a foreign ministry spokesperson said in an online statement, which also accused the US of having “instigated ‘color revolutions’” overseas.

The ministry also claimed the summit was organized by the US to “draw lines of ideological prejudice, instrumentalise and weaponise democracy... (and) incite division and confrontation.”

Instead, Beijing vowed to “resolutely resist and oppose all

kinds of pseudo-democracies.”

Ahead of the summit, China ramped up a propaganda blitz criticizing US democracy as corrupt and a failure.

Instead, it touted its own version of “whole-process people’s democracy” in a white paper released last week that aimed to shore up legitimacy for the ruling Communist Party, which has become increasingly authoritarian under President Xi Jinping.

While the US has repeatedly denied there will be another Cold War with China, tensions between the world’s two largest economies have spiraled in recent years over issues including trade and technological competition, human rights, Xinjiang and

Taiwan.

The US Treasury on Friday sanctioned two high-level Chinese officials for human rights abuses in the Xinjiang region and placed Chinese AI surveillance firm SenseTime on a blacklist for its facial recognition technology targeting the Uyghur minority.

Taiwan, a democratic self-ruling island that is claimed by China, was invited to the US summit in a clear snub to its larger neighbor.

Only two of the 253 travelers who arrived from South Africa from Nov. 15 to 29 have yet to be located.

The two unlocated passengers, who arrived on Nov. 22, had addresses in Mimaropa and Mindanao. They have tested negative for COVID-19, but the local governments are still looking for them.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III earlier said he is looking at the possibility of publishing the names of travelers who will not provide correct personal details in their health declaration forms upon arrival in the Philippines.

“We will push for that. I will see to what extent I can do that because I strongly feel that this is a weakness in the system and sometimes unintended consequences of laws that weaken the ability to do more effective contact trac-

ing or back-tracing,” Duque said.

For her part, PGC Executive Director Dr. Cynthia Saloma said if DOH-accredited laboratories are able to submit their samples faster, the center can screen immediately as they have the capacity to sequence 750 samples weekly.

“Our laboratories should work double time in submitting samples because sometimes the 750 slots are not filled. This is a very important effort of genomic biosurveillance,” she said.

On Saturday, the country logged 356 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total tally to 2,836,360 and marking the 18th straight day that less than 1,000 cases were reported.

Active infections stood at 11,373, of which 902 are asymptomatic, 4,328 are mild, 3,747 are moderate, 1,991 are severe, and 405 are in critical condition.

Despite the Omicron threat, the government said Filipinos are heading for a happy Christmas this year as COVID-19 cases remain low and vaccination rates improve.

“Now we see the fruits of our labor.

Now we see we will be having a happy Christmas,” said Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor, National Task Force against COVID-19 head of strategic communications.

Amid the low COVID-19 numbers, the DOH said caroling and street parties are allowed this Christmas so long as organizers follow the guidelines, including a maximum of 70 percent of the venue capacity for outdoor events.

DOH director Dr. Beverly Ho said, however, that if organizers or local officials do not have the capacity to enforce the guidelines, then they should forgo these parties.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. pointed to major milestones marked under the national vaccination program as a reason for optimism.

The government is optimistic it can inoculate more than seven million Filipinos during the second round of National Vaccination Days event scheduled from December 15 to 17.

The massive vaccination drive is part of the national government’s efforts to inoculate as many Filipinos as possible against COVID-19, especially those residing in areas outside the National Capital Region.

The government is keen on repeating the success achieved during the first round where the government was able to administer 10.2 million vaccine doses nationwide from November 29 to December 3.

Myanmar citizen pleads guilty in plot to attack UN envoy A CITIZEN of Myanmar on Friday pleaded guilty in a plot to attack or kill the country’s pro-democracy UN ambassador, who has refused junta orders to quit, US officials said.

In August, Ye Hein Zaw, a resident of New York in his early twenties, conspired with two others to force Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun to resign or, if he refused, to kill him, according to prosecutors.

Zaw agreed to pay $5,000 for the attack, which was foiled by US investigators.

Zaw admitted in court that he “participated in a plot to injure or kill Myanmar’s ambassador to the United Nations in a planned attack that was to take place on American soil,” US Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement.

“I commend the tireless efforts of our law enforcement partners at all levels of government to ensure the safety of foreign diplomats and officials in the United States and bring the perpetrators of this plot to justice,” Williams added.

Zaw is due to be sentenced in May. He faces up to five years in prison.

Benin opposition leader sentenced to 20 years in jail BENIN opposition leader and former justice minister Reckya Madougou was sentenced on Saturday to 20 years in prison for terrorism before a special court in the capital Porto-Novo.

After more than 20 hours of hearings, Madougou, 47, was found guilty of “complicity in terrorist acts” by the Economic Crime and Terrorism Court, or Criet, which on Tuesday sentenced another key opposition figure to 10 years.

Critics say the court, set up in 2016, has been used by President Patrice Talon’s regime to crack down on the opposition and pushed Benin into authoritarianism.

“This court has deliberately decided to penalize an innocent person,” Madougou said shortly before her prison sentence was announced.

ONG before the term Mixed Martial Arts became popular among combat sports fanatics, there were countries that practice the same unified system of fight sports.

If Russia has sambo and Vietnam has vovinam, South Korea has Tong-Il Modo or TIMD. TIMD, which practices both the art of striking and grappling skills, was founded by Grandmaster Joon Ho Seuk in 1979 in South Korea.

He called it “the way of the unified martial arts.”

When GM Joon Ho conceived TIMD, he wanted it to be more than just a martial art. It’s a way of life.

It follows the principles and fundamentals that are not limited only to every kick and punch but to spiritual values such as character development, service to society, and filial piety.

Its main value is to overcome the desire of the body by strengthening the mind. Everyone without exception has their own greatest enemy, the self.

Our physical desires limit our capacity to love the family, society, nation, and the world. TIMD practitioners were trained to overcome themselves with an indomitable spirit.

Humble Beginning There was a once timid schoolboy from Mindanao who traveled to Manila to find his luck. He found TIMD instead took to heart all its valuable teachings, changing his

life for the better and eventually becoming a successful leader.

That young man is now the Executive Vice President of World TIMD and now called by his title Dr. Venus Agustin.

Through the support of his aunt, he studied college at a University in Ilocos Norte. Before going there, he was invited and became a member of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU, formerly known as Unification Church) in Cubao.

For the first two years, martial arts didn’t pass by his thoughts until one day he came back to Manila and saw well-trained martial artists.

In October 1984, the founder of Tong-Il Moo do (formerly known as Won Hwa Do) sent an instructor to the Philippines, Master Gerry Servito, a Filipino-American missionary from America.

He began his missionary work and was able to inspire young people to join the martial arts. One of those he inspired was Agustin, who was then 21 years old.

Initially, Agustin was not interested in martial arts training until he discovered the philosophy and deeper contents of the teaching.

Grandmaster Venus’ training started in Laoag City. However, his training didn’t go like the training we knew of today, following a personal instructor. He started his training by just following the instructions from a book given to him, which contains the Fundamentals and Principles of TIMD He stopped studying after two years in college to focus on TIMD. For the next two years, he started training by himself alone, and in the long run, taking in the teachings, he saw improvements in himself. Once, a timid person who can’t talk in front of a crowd found his confidence and humility.

“It was tough that I had to do

it alone but I overcame and faced the challenges during these hard times.”

Victories and Achievements “Before you desire to have dominion over the universe, you must first gain dominion over yourself”, a quote by Rev. Sun Myung Moon, the inspiration behind Tong il Moo Do. From Laoag City, Agustin was sent to Baguio City and continued his training there to become a blue belt. Even if the training is tough and he’s not even at the top of his class, he never gave up. Until he was promoted to join the second generation of black belts.

He pointed out that the training in Baguio became his ‘stepping stone’ until he was assigned as President of National TIMD and National TIMD instructor in 1987.

From this time on, he started achieving greater things. He didn’t even have money to support himself when he started a family.

However, through the teachings in TIMD, he realized that ‘money is not the issue as long as you take responsibility. Through TIMD, Agustin traveled to 70 countries around the world.

After 10 years of acquiring discipline, determination, and passion in TIMD he continued his study and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Central Colleges of the Philippines.

He also studied for a Ph.D. Major in Commerce at the University of Sto. Tomas in 2003. Currently, he is taking up a Ph.D. in Peace and Security at Bicol University.

Through this motivation, they initiated the 1-year TIMD Martial Arts Training and Peace Studies program called the “Zero to Hero Project ‘’ in

July 2017.

Some of the targets of the programs were former drug dependents, orphans, and out-of-school youth from families with the aim of improving their lives and producing a better version of themselves.

Agustin may not belong to that kind of lost soul, but as a young man, he had dreamed bigger things.

Technology giant keeps offices, schools connected

ENOVO, one of the world’s leading innovators that purchased IBM’s personal computer business in 2005, registered income and revenue growth amid the pandemic as it focused on enabling other companies and institutions to adopt a hybrid work setup to remain operational despite various forms of quarantine restrictions across the globe.

“So far, we have been doing well because of the demand for our products and services. In 2020, Lenovo led the Asia Pacific overall PC market according to a report by the International Data Corp.,” says Michael Ngan, president and general manager of Lenovo Philippines.

Ngan says that based on IDC data, Lenovo achieved a 19.5-percent yearon-year growth in the consumer market, while small and medium businesses as well as education sectors fueled the increase in commercial notebook sales last year.

Lenovo Group’s net income grew 65 percent year-on-year to $512 million in the second quarter of fiscal year 2021-2022.

“Our solutions and services group’s revenue grew 30 percent year-on-year, with operating margin of almost 21 percent,” says Ngan.

“Going forward, we will continue to focus on high-margin businesses and segments. We aim to double our R&D investments over three years and develop more core technology along our new IT

structure. We will also further drive our internal digital and intelligent transformation to improve efficiency, and consistently improve our profitability,” he says in an e-mail interview.

Ngan, who has been at the helm of Lenovo Philippines for eight years now, says what makes him excited about the latest innovations in general is how much good Lenovo can do with the right tools at its disposal. “As Lenovo’s mission statement goes, Smart Technology for All, we’re hoping to make the world more inclusive and connected by designing the right devices and solutions to help us get there,” he says.

Since leading Lenovo Philippines in 2013, Ngan and his team were able to spur growth in all segments by increasing the sales of personal computers, laptops/notebooks, tablets and mobile phones.

Armed with strong marketing experience, he also stirred his group into strengthening the company’s retail experience by opening more exclusive stores nationwide, including the Legion, Yoga and ThinkPad brand stores.

When he received a job opportunity for the Cirque de Soleil, he needed three weeks of seafarer training, several dozens of documents and certificates, and was even denied a visa once.

Still, he persevered and did whatever he needed to pursue his dream of being a circus performer.

He trained with the best circus performers all around the world and developed his unique act where he dances around a levitating wand.

It’s a gorgeous artistic display and the culmination of Firechill’s work, and he is grateful for the chance to show the glob-

al audience what Filipinos can do.

While a visit to Café 100 sounds like a dream, this local alternative proves to be just as worth the experience.

Broadway Cinematheque In “The Juan in West Kowloon,” Virginia takes Richard to the Broadway Cinematheque—a cinema, gallery, DVD store, café, and library all rolled into one massive complex. The cinema opened in 1996, and until today, it screens independent and art films alongside the more mainstream movies popular in other cinemas.

Belle Mariano glistens as new OPM darling TEEN sensation Belle Mariano introduces her glowing sound and bright artistry in daylight, her debut album released under ABS-CBN’s Star Pop label that is out now on various digital music platforms.

Picking up from the success of her well-received debut single “Sigurado,” which now has almost 12 million Spotify streams and over six million music video views—“daylight” further establishes Belle as a pop-alternative sweetheart whose enchanting and silky voice shines with every song she sings.

Apart from “Sigurado,” the album consists of six other original songs radiating lustrous colors and offers an easy listening experience for music lovers. Netflix drops ‘The Silent Sea’ trailer THE main trailer was released for Netflix series The Silent Sea, a story set in the near future of an elite team on a special mission to an abandoned research base on the moon, as resource depletion has devastated the Earth.

The trailer begins with an image of a desolate Earth. All life on Earth is threatened due to resource depletion. Korea’s Space and Aeronautics Administration finds the answer to the survival of mankind and plans another moon exploration mission led by an elite team comprised of astrobiologist Song Jian (Bae Doona), team leader Han Yunjae (Gong Yoo), head engineer Ryu Taesuk (Lee Joon), team doctor Doc Hong (Kim Sun-young), head of security Gong Soohyuk (Lee Mu-saeng), and spacecraft pilot Kim Heesun (Lee Sung-wook).

Their destination is Balhae Lunar Research Station, closed down five years ago due to an accident. They take off with the important mission to “retrieve an important sample in the station and return to earth,” but are faced with an immense challenge as their spaceship makes a crash landing on the moon.

They barely reach Balhae Lunar Research Station, which is veiled in mystery. Dead bodies with unknown causes of death and an unidentified signal of life lurk the team into chaos, while Song Jian starts to doubt the veracity of the government’s statement that the station was permanently closed down due to an accident. She has suspicions about the secrets hidden throughout Balhae Lunar Research Station.

Tense life-and-death situations confront the elite team at the place they look for means of survival. They intuitively feel that unusual events will happen at the station, as one member chokes up blood-like water. Their attempts at escaping the station and communication with the outside fails, and they are stranded on the station that resembles a secret trap room.

The headline “A Deadly mission will uncover the darkest secrets of the Moon” piques viewers’ curiosity on what secrets the unknown and silent sea holds, and whether the members tasked with the mission can safely return home. The main trailer calls attention to not only the secrets of Balhae Lunar Research Station, but also the realistic visualization of space and the moon.

As the first Korean science fiction mystery thriller series, The Silent Sea perfectly recreates the vastness and stillness of the moon. Crash landing on the moon, the abandoned Balhae Lunar Research Station, the dust winds on the lunar surface, and other refreshing scenes are sure to captivate viewers.

The Silent Sea will be released on Dec. 24, only on Netflix.

MERICAN novelist Edna Ferber once said, “Christmas isn't a season. It's a feeling,” and I think most of us will agree.

There is something about Christmas that brings out the best in us. People are generally kinder, happier, and more giving during the Yuletide season.

Christmas is more meaningful when we spend it with our family and friends. The memories that we create with our loved ones are memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. And speaking of family and friends, let us not forget that our pets are part of the family, too. Any fur parent will tell you that holidays are not complete without their fur kids by their side to celebrate them with.

How do fur parents celebrate holidays? Read on as fur parents share how they spend Christmas with their furry ones.

For Rovinj Espiritu Lowe, a retired floral designer who lives in Utah with her husband Vincent, a retiree from the United States Air Force, pets are a significant part of the family. “Vincent and I have had pets as part of our family ever since we were married. However, our pets took on a greater significance in our home when our daughters moved out about 22 years ago to start their own families. The emptiness that we felt was lessened because our pets added their own unique personalities to our home in the absence of our daughters. Our pets can never take the place of our daughters, but they have established a sense of warmth in our home that is very refreshing. We miss our daughters the most during the Christmas Holiday Season, our most favorite holiday. So, it is very important for us to have our pets here in our home. We always buy a little special gift for them and enjoy this special day with them around our Christmas tree. We always cherish these memorable times with them,”

Rovinj shares. She also has one piece of advice for anyone who may be lonely: “Adopt a pet and experience the same joy that we pet lovers do every day, especially during Christmas.”

Christmas is a great time to have fun with the whole family and that includes pets, says Electra Abella Boller, a restaurant operations manager.

“No matter what our plans are for the festive season, it’s important that we also involve our pets in the Christmas celebrations to ensure they have a memorable holiday as well. We often ask a friend to be our photographer and take a family portrait with all our furry friends. We dress them up in holiday outfits and put cute accessories to get them into the Christmas mood. I cook some pet-friendly treats that my pets are thrilled to eat and enjoy.” Electra says that aside from the treats, she also buys gifts for her fur kids that she puts under the Christmas tree. “They’re special gifts

that we know they will just love like toys, treats or snacks or even a new outfit. Whether our dogs have been naughty or nice this year, Santa’s coming to town.”

Lucy Foja, an office manager who lives with her husband Richard in Australia, says that every day with her fur kids feels like Christmas. “My first Christmas with three of my furry children, KC, Coco, and Ella, was one of the best Christmas I've had. They were all rescued but I feel like they rescued me instead. Life has never been lonely since they arrived. They bring so much joy and fill my heart with love. I learn so much from them about how to live a good life.”

For Jomariss Plan, a university professor, her dog Rocky has been her happy pill since the day she adopted him. “Rocky has been with me for five years now. He has been my companion since the day I adopted him. He is not just a pet, he is

my family. My most memorable Christmas with Rocky was in Christmas of 2016 because it was his first Christmas with my family. I had bought a Christmas costume, dog treats, and a stuff toy for him that year. It was amusing to watch him drool with happiness and excitement, tail wagging, as I unwrapped his gifts for him. Rocky is a playful dog, and he gives so much joy to my family. He is truly our happy pill.”

Pets enjoy receiving Christmas treats, too, so including them in the Christmas celebrations makes them feel they're valued members of the family.

By Mariana Burgos IT IS Christmas time! Every time this season comes, the spirit of gift-giving is so much in the air. Oh, but if you have a cat for a pet, you will surely get gifts anytime of the year. Sometimes, even every day!

I am a cat person. I love cats because they are not as dependent as dogs on their human owners. Since I was a kid, I have always chosen a cat for a personal pet. But, of course, I love all kinds of animals, too. Cats are just my favorite.

When I was in my elementary years, I remember dreaming of having a lion or a tiger for a pet. I love the thought of having a big, awesome-looking cat in my house just chilling there. It is pretty funny and cute when I picture him playing with a ball or a ball of thread on my lawn. It must be so nice to feel his soft, warm fur and hearing his purr as he lays beside me for a nap. The idea is just so calming for me.

Cats are such gifted creatures and very smart.

They are excellent hunters and are very careful and accurate with their movements in crowded areas or narrow spaces. Rarely have I seen a cat who is sloppy with his actions. Things only get broken around them when they intentionally want to drop them from the table. Have you seen cats do that? I do.

You would think, “Now, what’s with the dropping and breaking stuff?” I don’t know how it is with other cat owners but in my case, I have noticed that there are times when they are pissed off with a few of my house rules, you would see them pushing things from the table to drop and break them. As if they were trying to prove a point or something. Or, just a display of tantrum, perhaps?

I remember our Siamese cat, Princess, when I was young. Our visitors always mistook her for a stuffed cat when they see her on top of one of our bookshelves. She would sit there straight up and very still for a long time. She looked so majestic whenever she does that. Nothing on our shelves gets toppled down even if she goes up there considering my family is one who likes to have so many “abubot” (trinkets).

She was very good in catching mice and roaches. She doesn’t eat them, though. But every time she is able to catch one, she plays with it for a while or until it dies. And then, when she is done playing with it, she would bring it to one of us

humans. It is as if she telling us, “Here, you try. It is quite fun, you’ll see.” (LOL!) I could not forget my pet cat, Flippy, back when I was only around 8 to 10 years old. Since he was a kitten, I would carry him like how one would carry a baby resting on one’s shoulder. I would rock him back and forth to make him sleep and sing him a lullaby hum. He would fall asleep drooling all over my shoulder after a few minutes or so. He was also so good at getting things for us especially food from our neighbors (LOL!). There was one time, I remember so clearly, my grandma was wondering, talking out loud, what she could cook for our lunch. All of a sudden, Flippy comes home with a very large fried tilapia (St. Peter’s fish) in his mouth, still whole and it was still very hot. Meaning, it was newly fried! He dropped it in front of us. It is as if he was telling my grandma, “I got it covered, Granny, don’t you worry.” (LOL!) I saw a video in Youtube one time. It was about a cat who brings in lots of money for his owner ( This cat brought his owner a lot of MONEY every day.

The man installed a camera and was SHOCKED. ).

Well, he was not really his owner but since he rescued him, he sees him as his owner. I guess, the cat was simply very, very grateful to him for adopting him that he decides to be useful for them by doing a job for them----displaying his cuteness for a fee! I wish I had a cat who is that smart.

This is how pet cats are---they love bringing gifts to their owners. And they can be very dramatic sometimes. That is just how they show their love for their humans. If you really think of it, they are quite romantic. For creatures as independent and as skillful as cats are, you would think that they would be very proud to not even show the slightest care for you. Some people do think of cats that way. But cats do the opposite. They display a tremendous form of affection and generosity. And with that attitude, it is clear that they are not a proud breed but rather, a very humble one. For me, I see them as the most loving, generous and smartest pets one could have.
