TOKYO Olympics veteran Carlos Yulo came up with performances that were hard to beat from the start. In the end, the 21-year-old Yulo finished with a gold medal in the vault and a silver medal in the parallel bars at the end of his routines in the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2021 in Kitakyushu, Japan on Sunday. Yulo’s high average score of 14.916 proved difficult to overtake as he remained unchallenged all afternoon in the vault finals. His huge effort earned him his second World Championship title since grabbing the floor exercise gold in Stuttgart, Germany in 2019.
