President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday assured the families of the soldiers killed and injured in the Philippine Air Force (PAF) C-130 crash that their sacrifices were not in vain (also see related story on A2 – Editors). “The life of a soldier is always valuable, whether in the fields of fighting or events such as this. They died for our country and for that I am very grateful to those who died and those who helped,” he said in a speech at the Armed Forces Western Mindanao Command headquarters in Zamboanga City, where the remains of some of the soldiers were transported. DOH reports 2 new cases of Delta variant
