#COBW16 Welcome to the 5th annual Central Oregon Beer Week! The week starts on Friday, May 20 and runs through Memorial Day Weekend, Sunday, May 29. Seven days just wasn’t enough!

The Ale Apothecary “Minotaur” Beer Release @ Tin Pan Theater 3p - 5:30p FREE Meet the Brewer and Poet collaborators for the bottle release of “Whosoever Has Let a Minotaur Enter Them, Or a Sonnet.” Brewer Paul Arney and poet Emily Carr collaborated on a project which resulted in a book and a beer, both named “Whosoever Has Let a Minotaur Enter Them, Or a Sonnet.” The beer is a dark sour aged in wine and bourbon barrels with blackberries. The book is, uh, a book of poems published by McSweeney’s.

Brewer and Poet Collaborate on “Whosoever Has Let a Minotaur Enter Them, Or a Sonnet” @ Crow’s Feet Commons 4p - 7p. $ Experience a unique and seriously whimsical collaboration through beer tastings, pop-up poetry, private readings and Music. Join The Ale Apothecary, Crow’s Feet Commons and local poet, Emily Carr for an evening of inspiration through taste and poetry. During this event, you can meet a love poet and a metaphysical brewing team and learn about their happy coincidence of fate and opportunity.

This will be the only place you will be able to sample the new very limited beer called the Minotaur. Many other beers will be available to sample and you can always take a few bottles home for your own enjoyment!
