he kids are back in school. The summer floaters are dwindling, and the days are getting cooler.

Kinda makes you want to cozy up with a book and a hot cuppa something, doesn’t it? And what goes great with hot beverages?

Bacon and eggs, of course. Or maybe a warm pastry or two?

While dinner and drinks are always going to be things we look forward to at the end of a long day, we also tend to fall into the “why not have it all?” camp.

In this case, “having it all” means living it up in the culinary department, no matter what the time of day. With that in mind, we present you with this year’s Breakfast and Lunch Guide—full of information on which daytime restaurants to eat at and what they serve.

This year, we’re also featuring not just your favorite local breakfast and lunch chefs—but also some of the local farmers who put in the work to help those chefs shine.

he good thing about not having a complex menu is that anyone can put it together. That means there is hardly a line and food has the potential to come out quicker! There are some seriously lovely smiles behind the counter at Big-O-Bagels and we were able to talk to one of them.

BUSINESS: Big-O-Bagels FAVORITE SUNDAY BREAKFAST: A Bacon Eye Opener. Bacon with egg and cheese. I like mine with the everything bagel.

FAVORITE WAY TO COOK EGGS: Over medium. I definitely flip mine—I don’t like the white being all runny.

IDEAL SUNDAY BREAKFAST: Bacon with eggs over easy and a side of buttered Vegemite toast. All of my friends give me a hard time over the Vegemite. It’s fantastic power food.
