INDEPENDENCE The results of the EU referendum show that their has been significant and material change since the independence referendum in 2014.

It is the view of the Scottish National Party that the best future for Scotland is to be in an independent country, and that a referendum on Scotland’s future in the United Kingdom must be called, if the Scottish people choose so.

In this election, a vote for the SNP is a vote for a referendum.

SCOTLAND’S CHOICE It is a fundamental democratic principle that the decision on whether or not Scotland becomes independent should rest with the people who live in Scotland.

EDUCATION I believe that every child in our country should be entitled to a free and fair education and that is why I will continue to ensure that tuition is free for everyone.

I want to give a strong voice to our young people and our school staff at Westminster, and ensure that we continue our work to stand up for pupils and to ensure that they have access to modern and advanced educational facilities.

YOUNG PEOPLE Scotland’s young people are the future and they are entitled to have proper rights that are protected. I want to see a Scotland where young people are treated fairly and are entitled to a proper place to sleep, learn and live.

HEALTHCARE We must ensure that the people of Scotland have access to free and modern healthcare facilities in order to build a healthier Scotland.

I pledge to ensure that rural communities have access to better health services 24/7 and to end the hourly commute to the nearest doctor.

SOCIAL CARE Scotland needs to have a fair and free social care system that works for everyone. To work towards a healthier Scotland, I believe that we must work towards the establishment of a National Care Service Scotland, that will nationalise care homes and social care across the board. ECONOMY I believe that we need to diversify our economy and raise the tax for corporations. It is my view and the view of the Scottish National Party, that we must work towards the transition for a more greener Scottish economy and lift the reliance on oil & gas.

We need robust framework to be implemented to avoid the vulnerabilities and situation that we found ourselves facing during the 2008 financial crisis.

ENVIRONMENT We need to see a just climate transition away from fossil fuels, and while work is already underway - more can still be done to ensure that we speed up this process. Let’s start by banning the sale of cars that use diesel as the only fuel source and fully ban plastic straws across the UK. BROADCASTING Our screen sector has gone from strength to strength in recent years, supported by the creation of Screen Scotland and new studio infrastructure.I want to build on this success to make Scotland the go-to destination for production.

DEFENCE Myself & The SNP has never and will never support the retention or renewal of Trident. We believe that nuclear weapons are immoral, ineffective and expensive.

I believe that veterans are an asset to our society and deserve the best possible care and support.

We must do all that we can do to get rid of Trident, and get it out of Scotland.

HUMAN RIGHTS I believe that everyone deserves to be equal, regardless of their gender, love, age, or any other protected characteristics. I also believe we should expand funding for forgein aid and human rights.

LAW & ORDER Under the SNP, Scotland is safer – with crime rates down by over 45%!

I want to continue our work to support our emergency services and expand our policing efforts. I want to see a crackdown on drugs - as I set out in the Drugs task force report.

I believe that we must do more to tackle crime.

IMMIGRATION Scotland needs an immigration policy suited to our specific circumstances and needs. Scotland needs people to want to work here, in our businesses, our universities and in our public services. The current UK one-size-fits-all approach to immigration is failing Scotland.

FISHERIES Through the blue economy action plan, we will seek to reduce harmful practices and consequences such as marine littering, marine plastics, pollution and reduce carbon emissions from marine activity – in particular, we will explore the potential for low carbon fishing vessels to be deployed on inshore waters.

I believe that Scotland’s food and drink industry will thrive in the European Union and with our UK partners.

FARMING Scotland’s rural economy is bursting with talent and potential. It is not just crucial to Scotland’s national brand, it is crucial to our national prosperity.

I will provide more support for women in agriculture and for new and young entrants into farming, including a specific new entrants fund. #FarmScot

HOUSING Since 2007, the SNP has built tens of thousands of new affordable homes to tackle Scotland’s poverty issue head on.

Everyone should have a safe, warm, affordable home. I am committed to expanding our social and affordable housing stock. The SNP remain committed to our end goal by building 100,000 new affordable homes by 2030, and we are already on that path.

TRANSPORT I want to continue my work on improving rural transport connections and upgrading Scotland’s road and rail networks to the highest possible standard.

EUROPEAN UNION In 2016, Scotland voted to remain in the European Union, and our vote must be respected.

The Scottish National Party believe that Scotland’s future is in Europe and a vote for us in this election is a vote for Scotland to remain in Europe.

Scotland made it clear that they wanted to remain in Europe, and that is what the SNP will fight for at Westminster.

HIGHLANDS As a highlander myself, I know the local issues that we face. In my plan for Scotland, I want to improve local travel connections, revive the Gaelic language and promote our highland culture.

I believe we should improve local healthcare services, and promote more education on the Highland way of life.

The Highlands are my home, and I wouldn't change it.

ISLANDS Having worked across Scotland’s Islands, I understand the issues that many locals face. In my plan for Scotland, I want to improve local broadband connections, diversify our island communities and introduce an ‘Islands Expansion Plan’ that aims to grow the rural economies and population in Scotland’s Islands. #Highlands

NORTH EAST The North East of Scotland is the heart of Scotland’s energy programme, and in my plan for Scotland, I haven’t forgotten about it.

I want to see a just-transition from oil and gas to renewables, while continuing to create and sustain jobs. I want to ensure that Aberdeen, and indeed the whole of the North East has a strong voice at Westminster.

MID-SCOTLAND & FIFE The people of Stirling, Perth-shire and Fife deserve a strong voice at Westminster and a strong team of representatives that will work for them.

In my plan for Scotland, I want to upgrade the local rail networks around Mid-Scotland and attract more local tourism to this vast and dynamic local area. #Aberdeen

GLASGOW As a child, I spent part of my upbringing in Glasgow and while much has changed, many issues I faced still affect people in Glasgow.

In my plan for Scotland, I will introduce a ‘Action Plan for Glasgow’ which details the main issues that affect the people of Glasgow including Drug deaths, dirty streets and homelessness.

I pledge to stand up for Glasgow.

EDINBURGH Having lived in Edinburgh for some time, I understand the local issues that affect local people in Scotland’s capital city. In my plan for Scotland, I want to ensure that the people of Edinburgh have more affordable homes, increased travel connections with the rest of Scotland and strong representation at Westminster. #Glasgow

WEST OF SCOTLAND The West of Scotland needs and deserves proper representation at Westminster, and I want to give them that representation. They can count on me.

In my plan for Scotland I want to boost tourism to Arran, modernise health facilities in NHS Forth Valley, including the Vale of Leven hospital.

The people of the West of Scotland can count on me.

SOUTH SCOTLAND The South of Scotland, need and deserve proper representation in Parliament, and that is what I guarantee to them.

I want to make it clear to people in the South of Scotland, I will stand up for you - that is a fundamental principle of my leadership.
