Lynette was born and raised in Williston. She has four brothers. Her parents are Mary Jo Harstad and the late Paul Harstad. She attended Williston High School and graduated in 1980. Lynette is employed with St. Mary Land & Exploration. Her husband, Jeff, works for Horizon Resources as the Energy Division Manager. They have one daughter, Shandah, who lives in Minot with her family. Shandah and her husband Robert have one child, Brooklyn-and oh, how Lynette and Jeff enjoy grandparenting!!! Spending time with friends and family is very important to Lynette. She also enjoys working in her yard, playing volleyball, and traveling. She is member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Clayton Marsh age 17 is the son of David and Rose Marsh the oldest of 4 children. Clayton had a lung collapse the evening of Feb 24th. He had a tube placed in his chest here at Mercy Medical Center on Feb. 25th. After a 7 day hospital stay the doctors here transferred Clayton to St. A’s of Bismarck, were they found that not only did Clayton have a collapse on the right side but his left lung would need to be repaired after the right was fixed. He spent the next 7 days there and will be returning to Bismarck this Sunday for his next surgery. The problem with lungs that Clayton is having is thought to be a genetic disorder called Marfan’s. Once Clayton is done with the repair he and his family will travel to the Mayo clinic for testing. A fund has been set up for Clayton and his family at ASB to help with the expenses of travel, medical bills, and any and all donation would be greatly appreciated.

PWS causes chronic feelings of hunger that can lead to excessive eating and life-threatening obesity. The part of Hayden’s brain that regulates feelings of hunger (the hypothalamus) does not work. Hayden will never feel full. Hayden will always have an uncontrollable urge to eat. Hayden would literally eat himself to death if given the chance. The fridge and the freezer are locked shut and new kitchen cabinets with locks are being installed to limit his access to food. Hayden is required to eat an extremely lowcalorie diet for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, there is no cure for Prader Willi syndrome but certain medicine can help him lead a longer and healthier life. He is now taking daily growth hormone shots to reduce body fat, improve fine motor skills and increase muscle tone. Due to the high cost of growth hormone shots and other medical/traveling expenses, we are asking for your help.
