Opening fall 2020
The skills gap for qualified warehouse workers has given Dawson the opportunity to approach recruiting differently. Our new facility – a repurposed warehouse – serves as a hub for hiring, training, and developing a more qualified workforce for Central Ohio distribution centers.
Benefits and features of the new office: A centralized location on a COTA bus line to serve as Dawson’s hub for Warehouse & Distribution recruiters and Client service teams A 50-seat, state-of-the-art classroom to facilitate orientations and training programs A mock distribution center floor to reflect the layout and work environment of Dawson Clients, to certify forklift drivers and provide other simulated skills training at no cost to job seekers
With over 20 years of experience in Warehouse Supervisor and other management roles at Central Ohio distribution centers, Brian understands the needs of employers and the skills gap in the industry. In addition to a thorough understanding of compliance and OSHA standards and guidelines, Brian is a Crown Equipment “Train the Trainer” Certified instructor. He has used that knowledge to collaborate with Dawson Clients to create training curriculum that better mirrors the needs of today’s warehouse employers.
