CENTRAL POINTE

WHITE TIGERS

THE BACKCOURT:

THE FRONTCOURT:

Transferring to CPCA for his senior season, Jalen Carruth will look to make an immediate impact. The 6-foot-7 wing can make a difference on both ends of the floor, but his scoring will be needed for the White Tigers. Sharing the backcourt with Carruth is Puerto-Rican guard Mykol Sánchez. The 6-foot-5 guard is coming off a strong spring and summer with Southeast Elite in the 3SSB Circuit, and he’ll have elevated responsibilities in his senior season.

CPCA is a long defensive squad with a number of high-level shooters, but their bread-and-butter should be found on the interior. 6-foot-9 Spanish forward Owen Aquino will play major minutes in the frontcourt, as will two Senegalese prospects; 6-foot-10 senior Lamine Niang and 6-foot-8 junior Gora Niang. Defensively, CPCA should be considered amongst the elite; during fall-ball play, no opponent scored over 50 points on the White Tigers. CPCA holds a 4-0 record at the time of publication, and they will definitely make a play for a ranking by the time the season concludes.
