IMPACT PLAYERS:

2023 London Johnson (6-foot-4) 2023 Samarion Bond (6-foot-4) 2023 Mier Panoam (6-foot-3) 2022 Jerry Deng (6-foot-8)

Team Synopsis:

Norcross finished with a solid record last year, and will look to put up another historic season under head coach Jesse McMillan. The Blue Devils had a young team in the 2020-21 season, but are now a year older and a year hungrier. The Blue Devils will return a dynamic backcourt pairing of London Johnson and Mier Panoam, and have quite the talented supporting cast behind them. Notable matchups for the Blue Devils include a clash with in-state rival Pace Academy on November 27th in Atlanta.

THE STAR:

Johnson (247 No. 25) will lead the way for Coach Jesse McMillan, and he has a lot of trust in the Game Elite 3SSB product. Johnson is a high-major prospect that is still continuing to grow into his 6-foot-4, 165-pound frame. Johnson boasts elite shooting, strong decision-making, and a will-to-win that can’t be taught. Johnson will be the main playmaker for McMillan and company, and the junior has a chance to establish himself as one of the best guards in the country regardless of graduating class.

THE supporting cast:

Joining Johnson in the backcourt is Panoam, a 6-foot-3 point guard with an improving skill-set across the board. McMillan is high on Panoam, as he has put in a lot of work in the offseason developing his jumper. Panoam will be a key piece that plays alongside Johnson at the guard spot, as will 6-foot-4 junior guard Samarion Bond. A product of the Atlanta Celtics 16U, Bond adds athleticism and toughness to a rather young backcourt. The production from the frontcourt will be crucial for the Blue Devils as they look to make a deep run at Georgia’s 7A level. Jerry Deng stands at 6-foot-8 and boasts a strong upside and excellent overall physical tools, while 6-foot-9 sophomore Aidan Sherrell will undoubtedly play major minutes in the frontcourt.
