1.GET ACCEPTED TO MSSTATE! 2.APPLY FOR HOUSING Opens: October 1 @ 10:00 am CDT Complete the Housing application and pay the non-refundable processing fee at my.housing.msstate.edu before the April 1 priority deadline.
2A.LIVING-LEARNING COMMUNITIES Interest Closes: March 15 @ 11:59 pm CST Living Learning Communities (LLCs) help students grow personally and academically by providing a unique living arrangement in which their peers desire to learn and serve in the same capacity that your student does. 2B.DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS Students with housing accommodation needs must begin the process by submitting the request to Disability Resource Center (DRC). Students must provide documentation from an appropriate professional indicating diagnosis and the need for housing accommodations.
3.REVIEW HALL OPTIONS Here at Mississippi State University we offer different styles of living through our Classic, Contemporary, Pod-Single, and Apartment style. Each style encourages students to find their people and get the most out of their Bulldog experience. Mississippi State University requires all first-year students to live on campus their first year. Research indicates that students who live on campus their first year are more engaged and do better academically than students who live off campus. 4.ROOMMATE SEARCH & SELECTION Roommate Search Open Through: Mid December - Mid May Students have the ability to request roommates on the Housing Application. There are several different options for finding/selecting a roommate before it is time to select a room in May.
5.SIGN YOUR HOUSING CONTRACT Students will need to sign their housing contract anytime between April 2 - April 30 to maintain their priority. If students sign their contract after April 30 @ 11:59 pm CDT, they will automatically be placed in the second round of Online Room Selection.
6.ONLINE ROOM SELECTION (OLRS) Selection: Mid May Online Room Selection is a self-assigning process. Much like choosing an airplane or concert seat, you can select your own space from a list of available spaces. If you have a confirmed roommate, the roommate with the best timeslot will select the room. The other roommate will automatically be pulled in with the roommate selecting the room. Students without a confirmed roommate will need to log on to the housing portal during their time slot. Time slots are emailed out in May. 7.MVNU2MSU (MOVE-IN) When: August It’s time to bring you HOME! Information regarding move-in will be emailed. In the meantime, check out our Move-In page at housing.msstate.edu/move-in.
