A MESSAGE FROM
Dr. Peter Simon The Royal Conservatory is one of Canada’s greatest cultural institutions with a presence in virtually every community of our nation. Each year, hundreds of thousands of students participate in the study of music through programs of The Royal Conservatory thereby awakening their creativity and capacity for self expression. This unique national impact extends to millions of alumni who are connected through the common bond and language of music. We could not develop and produce our exceptional programs without the generous support of our donors and sponsors, who share the belief that music has the power to transform the lives of individuals, to unite us as a society, and to provide a platform for creative expression that helps define us as a people. The Royal Occasion, the RCM’s signature annual fundraising event, supports a wide range of programs, while celebrating excellence in performance and recognising individuals who have made substantial contributions to the arts. I hope you will consider being a part of this year’s Royal Occasion. We know that the study of music nurtures imagination and creativity in young people, and that these are fundamental to achieving the levels of innovation that all nations seek. Your support is instrumental in realizing this future.
Sincerely,
Dr. Peter Simon Michael and Sonja Koerner President & CEO The Royal Conservatory of Music
