Mandatory compliance training deadline!

The deadline to complete all mandatory compliance training videos is June 30, 2023.

The next two pages include directions to access the videos and how to download the completion certificates.

If you have any technical issues, you can directly contact the EAP IT Help Line at 1-800-535-4841 Ext. 575 or email them at itdepartment@theEAP.com The EAP IT Help Desk is open Monday-Friday from 8am- 5pm.

Once completed, please send copies of your certificates to Danielle Colton-Couch at dcoltoncouch@columbiacountyga.gov.

Compliance Training 2023 Employees are required to complete Compliance Training before the end of their New Hire Probationary Period, and certificates must be renewed every two years from May through June.

If you were hired since January 1, 2023, and have completed these videos, you do not have to review them again during this two year cycle.

If you work for an elected official, he or she will determine your participation in this training.

Establish a time approved by your supervisor to complete the training during your work day, or contact Human Resources to provide assistance by calling 706-868-3300.

Culture of Civility: Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace SVL_1027730 (50 minutes) HOW TO ACCESS THE VIDEOS: 1. Go to www.theEAP.com and select “Member Login” on the upper right side of the screen.

2. If you have registered before, enter your Username and Password and click “Sign In”. If you need to recover your password, click here. If you need to recover your username, click here.

3. If you have never registered on this site, select “REGISTER”. Create a username, type "Columbia County of Georgia" for Organization Name, create a password and answer a security question. Click “Register”.

The system should automatically log you in after registering.

4. Select the “Training Center” image, then “Comprehensive Training Library”.

5. To locate the required courses, use the search field at the top of the screen to type the course code. The course codes can be found after each training course listed above in red font. You can copy and paste the course codes.

6. Launch the training video and follow the instructions. (The next page shows screenshots of the respective videos.)

7. Ensure that you click on the Certificate/Diploma icon at the end of the training and print/download your certificate. When you click it, your pdf certificate will be downloaded. The supervisor does not have to sign the certificate.

8. Once all videos have been successfully completed, SEND A COPY OF YOUR CERTIFICATES TO DANIELLE COLTON-COUCH IN HR AT dcoltoncouch@columbiacountyga.gov. She will make sure that this information is entered into your employee profile after you send your certificates to her.

Downloading Completion Certificates 1. After logging in, on your homepage in left column, click the words "Looking for your Training Certificate? Click here!"

2. Then it takes you to your transcript that lists the videos you have completed.

Go to the column towards the right that says "Certificate" and click on the gold icon in that column. It will download that certificate for you.

Once you have downloaded ALL of your certificates, attach all of them to one email and send to Danielle Colton-Couch at dcoltoncouch@columbiacountyga.gov.

Please do not send them to her one at a time.

Supervisors do not have to sign the downloaded certificates.

Move More Challenge Part II: Fix the Fork REVISED START DATE! Start Date: June 12, 2023

Duration: 6 weeks

Objective: To create better nutrition habits in addition to adding more movement to your lifestyle

Facilitator: Ciara Morris How to Win: To win, you must earn more points than all of the other participants.

The Challenge: When it comes to fitness and overall healthy living, most people think that working out is the hardest part. If you ask, most fitness professionals will tell you that the most challenging part about getting fit is the nutritional aspect. I’m sure you have heard at some point that you can’t out-train a poor diet. It’s very true. What we put into our bodies can hurt us or help us. This challenge will teach you to build the habits that will help you for the rest of your life. This is an individual challenge, so you are responsible for your performance and your results.

During the first week of the challenge, I am going to calculate the body fat percentage of everyone that participates. There will be THREE ways to win: most points overall, highest body fat percentage decrease, and most pounds lost!

I want to challenge everyone that participates to be more mindful of the types of foods that they consume. You want to try to eliminate processed foods, fried foods, and added sugar as much as possible. Drink more water, limit alcohol consumption, eat lean meats, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Combine these good nutritional habits with at least 150 minutes of movement each week and you will see change.

Rules: To participate you must submit your name, age, height(cm), and weight(lbs) no later than June 10th.

Weight must be submitted every Monday.

Make an appointment during the first week to have your body fat calculated. No later than June 10th.

Earn points each day by completing daily tasks. You will calculate your own points and submit them every Monday during the challenge. You have the whole day to submit your totals. Points do not count if submitted after Monday, so set a reminder.

You can earn points every day, but points will be capped at 200 points each day. You cannot earn double points for completing a task twice. For example: you cannot get extra points if you workout twice a day.

Download an app to help you calculate calories and macronutrients. (Ex. Macros First) Be brutally honest with me and yourself. Otherwise, this does not work.

Ways to Earn Points: Complete food diary daily-50 points Complete a workout for at least 30 minutes-10 points Attend one of my Total Burner classes or workout at G2-40 points Drink at least 100 oz of water a day-50 points Workout outside-10 points No fast food-20 points Weight loss-20 points Greatest body fat percentage loss-500 points Most pounds lost-500 points Tips: Plan your days Plan your meals Set reminders Suggested Apps: Macros First HitMeal-nutrition tracker MyFitnessPal

Hands-on Defensive Driving at the CCSO Track Friday, September 8, 2023. 8:30am-5pm Don’t miss the opportunity to sign up for Hands-On Defensive Driving! Ask our Safety Officers about the track! They were able to do a site visit at one of their meetings, but it doesn’t compare to the hands-on experience!

Register for the class before it fills up to see what the excitement is all about! You can have fun while training and earn a certificate for a discount on your insurance! Spaces are limited to 15 per class and there will only be one more opportunity before the end of the year!
