New Parking Plan Takes Effect July 1!

This is the last Roundabout before the parking plan goes into effect, so here are some final reminders

Things you need to know:

Employees that normally park on the Evans campus will have an assigned parking space to use on a daily basis

If someone is parked in your assigned space, Temporarily park in visitor parking-not in another employee’s space

Report the tag number of the car in your space to HR by calling 706-868-3300. HR staff will look up the tag to determine if it belongs to another employee or a visitor. If it belongs to another employee, HR will call that employee to ask them to move to their assigned space.

If it belongs to a visitor, you will need to check back periodically and move into your assigned space when you can.

Avoid parking in someone else’s assigned space during business hours even if that space is empty That employee may be coming in late due to an appointment, etc

Employees that are not assigned to the Evans Campus on a daily basis are to use visitor parking when they need to do short-term business on the Evans Campus For long-term business/meetings, these employees will need to use Lot F behind Procurement so that we don’t fill up visitor parking.

Employees that drive a county vehicle will park in the County Vehicle Lot beside Evans Towne Center Park. These employees will use visitor parking on the Evans Campus for short-term meetings. For long-term meetings, they will park the county vehicle in Lot F behind Procurement to preserve visitor parking.

Click here to view the Campus Map by parking lot. (This is better viewed on a computer than cell phone )

The top left hand corner has a dropdown arrow which lets you select which lot you want to view.

Go ahead and identify the closest visitor parking nearest to your spot in case you ever need to use it. The very last option in the dropdown menu shows all visitor parking. The visitor spaces are noted in light yellow The other colors on the map are assigned to the respective departments.

If you change tag numbers or vehicles during the year, just email Human Resources with your information, and we will make the change to the master parking list so that it stays current.

As with all new plans, we will make adjustments as necessary.

Thanks, in advance, for your cooperation!
