Columbia County GIS

We just returned from the 2024 ESRI Southeast User Conference last week. Columbia County GIS was asked to speak at the Plenary and a Detailed User Presentation. This conference had almost 700 ESRI customers, vendors, a staff in attendance from across the southeast. Our presentation was titled “Columbia County's 3D Journey". This was a great honor to be selected to speak at this level.

This presentation covered Columbia County's past four year history on this subject. From the first city model created, usage of sUAS in aerial 3D captures, special 3D site projects, and future initiatives. Including model creation, imagery capture, and product development.

Very proud of the presenters, as well as the rest of the GIS Department who are part of this evolution. Special thanks to the stakeholders and Columbia County customers who sponsored these projects.

Living with Dementia: Brain Health, Lifestyle Choices, and Community Connections

Jennifer Pennington is the executive director of Via Cognitive Health, which is a non-profit organization that specializes in programming and resources for individuals and families living with adult cognitive decline disorders, such as Alzheimer’s and related dementias. She has over 20 years leading nonprofit organizations in Athens and Augusta. She is a University of Georgia graduate. She has served on multiple community boards and with state and national workgroups on aging issues.
