My Name is Alfred Hitchcock 15, 2hrs Wed 23 Aug 11am & Thu 24 Aug 7.30pm + Q&A A century on after Hitchcock’s first film, award-winning filmmaker Mark Cousins looks at the auteur with a new and radical approach: through the use of his own voice. As Hitchcock rewatches his films, we are taken on an odyssey through his vast career - his vivid silent films, the legendary films of the 1950s and 60s and his later works - in playful and revealing ways.

As more details of Reality’s life are revealed and more armed men arrive, a complex portrait emerges of an American millennial, yoga teacher, and veteran under siege.

After moving to France from the Ivory Coast in the 1980s, young mother Rose must work low-paying jobs to raise her children. An indomitable force of nature, her enthusiasm for life in her new country is apparently inextinguishable, her trust that she will land on her feet and find love unshakable.

Vertigo PG, 2hrs 8mins Tue 29 Aug 7pm, Thu 31 Aug 4pm Hitchcock's romantic story of obsession, manipulation and fear is often cited as his best film, and indeed one of the greatest films ever made. An acrophobic detective is hired by an old friend to trail his wife who is behaving suspiciously. After he successfully rescues her from a suicidal leap into the San Francisco Bay, he finds himself becoming infatuated with the beautiful and troubled woman.

Rear Window PG, 1hr 54mins Wed 30 Aug 4pm, Thu 31 Aug 7pm One of Hitchcock great suspense thrillers. James Stewart plays a newspaper photographer with a broken leg who passes time recuperating by observing his neighbours through his window. He sees what he believes to be a murder and decides to solve the crime himself. With the help of his nurse and wife, he tries to catch the murderer without being killed himself.
