When his social posts start blowing up, so does his life and the lives of everyone following him. As a stock tip becomes a movement, everyone gets rich - until the billionaires fight back, and both sides find their worlds turned upside down.

Can Doctor Dulcamara’s so-called ‘elixir of love’ work its magic? Conductor Sesto Quatrini makes his house debut, as does soprano Nadine Sierra in the role of Adina. She is joined by Liparit Avetisyan, Boris Pinkhasovich and the incomparable Bryn Terfel as the genial wheeler-dealer Doctor Dulcamara.

Spirit of the Beehive 50th Anniversary PG, 1hr 38mins, in Spanish with subtitles

Mon 18 Sep 7pm, Wed 20 Sep 3pm In a small village, six-year-old Ana becomes obsessed with the film Frankenstein when it is shown at her local cinema. While Ana looks for fictious monsters, there are plenty of real ones around in the aftermath of the recent conflict. The allegorical nature of Spirit Of The Beehive hid its real intent on first release in the fascist Spain of the 1970’s. It has become one of the most acclaimed Spanish films ever made and was a major influence on Oscar Winning director Guillermo Del Toro and his seminal work Pan’s Labyrinth.

Tue 19 Sep 7pm, Thu 21 Sep 3pm The film that launched celebrated Spanish director Pedro Almodovar’s international career. A black comedy that successfully melds melodrama and classic Hollywood screwball, it follows the trials and tribulations of television actress Pepa, who may have a great career, but her love life is in turmoil.

Tristana & Un Chien Andalou PG, 1hr 35mins, in Spanish with subtitles

Thu 21 Sep 7pm, Sat 23 Sep 11.30am Luis Bunuel’s highly acclaimed story of rebellion and sexual liberation. Set in the 1920’s, Catherine Deneuve stars as a young woman who becomes the ward to local nobleman Don Lope However, Don Lope sees Tristana as an object of sexual desire, whilst also stating she has the freedom to live her life as she wants. When Tristana eventually shows her independence, there are unexpected consequences for everyone. Despite Bunuel’s protestations, the film was Oscar nominated at the time of original release.

Wed 27 Sep 7pm, Thu 28 Sep 7pm Possibly the most offbeat and insanely enjoyable film you will see this year, this wildly inventive superhero spoof follows the misadventures of a team of five avengers known as the Tobacco Force.

After a devastating battle against a diabolical giant turtle, they are sent on a mandatory week-long retreat to strengthen their decaying group cohesion.

Their sojourn goes wonderfully well until Lézardin, Emperor of Evil, decides to annihilate planet Earth.
