When it comes to percussion and sound quality you already know you are in safe hands with Zildjian. The ACHEM-E Perfect Tune headphones are designed for both drummers and music lovers who want high quality sound and reliable performance. They combine elegant looks, strong build quality and a feature set list as good as Dave Grohls. The design feels premium, with smooth finishes available in colours such as black, midnight blue (truly gorgeous) and sandstorm white. The metal detailing adds a professional touch, and the overall build feels sturdy without being too bulky.
The headphones use 40 mm dynamic drivers that deliver a frequency range of roughly 7 Hz to 22 kHz. This means you get powerful bass, balanced mids and crisp treble. They connect wirelessly using Bluetooth 5.3, but you can also use them wired through the included six-foot cable and quarter inch adapter. The Active Noise Cancellation system has two modes. One is a standard full isolation mode for blocking outside noise, and the other is a Play Along mode that provides 50% drum dampening, allowing drummers hear their kit while still listening to backing tracks. This feature makes the headphones ideal for practice or studio sessions.
Battery life is one of the biggest strengths of the ALCHEM-E Perfect Tune, offering up to around 45 hours of use with ANC switched on. Comfort is supported by replaceable ear pads and a cushioned headband, which helps extend the lifespan of the headphones. Through the Zildjian companion app, users can activate Perfect Tune by taking a quick hearing test for each ear and enjoying their audio with fine-tuned sound for their own hearing.
The sound itself is simply delicious, with rich, clear and well-balanced tones. The bass feels strong but controlled, the mids are warm and vocals sound natural. High frequencies are detailed and particularly well handled, which suits Zildjian’s heritage in cymbal making. The only things I could find to pick at is all that tech and premium materials means they can feel slightly heavy over long periods, they support SBC and AAC codecs although not aptX and LDAC, the Perfect Tune compensates by optimizing sound in real time, making high-resolution codecs unnecessary for most users.
Overall, the Zildjian ALCHEM-E Perfect Tune headphones are an impressive choice for anyone who values personal sound control, long battery life and effective noise cancellation.

It isn’t often I would call a toothbrush good looking, but the Foreo Issa 4 is just that, with a distinctive electric toothbrush that stands out from the toothbrush crowd. It comes in five colours Arctic Blue, Pearl Pink and Fuchsia. It looks nothing like a regular electric toothbrush, with its smooth silicone body and flexible bristles, and it feels surprisingly gentle to use. It is on the pricey side, but it packs in a lot of clever features that help justify the cost. The biggest difference is the brush head. It is made from a mix of soft silicone and PBT polymer bristles, which means it is kinder on your gums while still giving your teeth a proper clean. It is also more hygienic than most brushes because the silicone resists bacteria and is easy to rinse clean. The head lasts up to six months before you need a new one, which is handy, but they do come in at £24.99 for one, there are also Sensitive and Mini brush heads available.
Battery is very healthy; the Issa 4 can go for a whole year on a single charge. It charges by USB, and once it is full
you can pretty much forget about it which is handy for holidays and travelling about. It is waterproof too, so you can use it in the shower if you are in a rush.
The Sonic Pulse technology delivers 11,000 pulsations per minute for a deep, full-mouth clean. There are 3 brushing modes Deep Clean, Whitening and Sensitive and you can make it as gentle or as strong as you like. It also has a built-in timer that buzzes every thirty seconds to remind you to move to a new section of your mouth. After brushing, your teeth feel smooth and your gums feel calm rather than sore, which is a big win if you have sensitivity. The is even an app (there is always an app) to allow you to tailor your brushing modes.
Overall, the Foreo Issa 4 is a smart, hygienic and low effort upgrade to your brushing routine. It looks great, feels gentle and does the job well. If you like a softer, more high tech approach to your dental care, this one is worth considering.

Doorbell cams are a standard these days, they are helpful when it comes to security but also to remain connect to family and friends when you are away from home. The Aqara Doorbell Camera Hub G410 may not come from a name you are familiar with but it is a well-rounded smart video doorbell that also doubles as a home automation hub. It gives you a lot more than just seeing who’s at the door and the G410 supports Apple HomeKit Secure Video (HSV). This is one of the product’s key differentiators, providing end-to-end encrypted video storage, smart notifications, and privacy-centric control.
The G410 features 2K video resolution with an f/1.8 lens and a wide 175-degree field of view. It uses a 4:3 aspect ratio, helping capture visitors from head to toe and anything left on the doorstep. The camera includes an mmWave radar sensor that improves detection accuracy which helps to reducing false alerts. It supports on-device facial recognition so familiar faces can trigger custom notifications or automations without needing a subscription. It also has temperature alerts with tamper-proof screws automatically trigger sirens and recording if forcibly removed.
The G410 also works as a smart home hub: it includes dual-band WiFi, Zigbee, Thread, and Matter compatibility. It can serve both Aqara devices and many third-party Matter accessories. For storage, you get local options: a microSD card slot (up to 512GB) and support for NAS, plus cloud storage (with end-to-end encryption) via Aqara.
The power flexibility is good with both hard-wire options or six AA batteries, with up to about five months battery life under moderate use (a rechargeable battery would be preferable here). Video quality in daylight is very good with the extra field of view you get fewer blind spots. The multiple protocols (Matter, Thread, Zigbee) make it into a capable centre for many smart devices. Battery mode works reliably, and the chime-hub combination means you need fewer extra parts. Features like privacy masking and voice changing add thoughtful touches for users concerned with privacy. The Night vision is acceptable but not class-leading, especially when there is little ambient light. The design is also larger than most other doorbells, so fitting it neatly can be a challenge depending on your door frame. (Since our review there has been an app update allowing users to adjust video brightness, which greatly improves visibility and overall video quality in low-light conditions).
If you want a smart video doorbell that does more than just alert you, the Aqara G410 is a strong contender. It mixes good video, reliable detection, strong privacy options and smart home compatibility very well.

Is there a more perfect match than a premium French brand and the ultimate premium Frenchman, Thierry Henry? We don’t think so. It makes perfect sense that Kabuto would team up with Henry to create a beautiful backpack as part of their travel collection. It is designed for people who travel frequently but still care about style, practicality and thoughtful detail. The collection is also limited, giving owners a sense of exclusivity.
The materials are clearly high quality. Prime micro nylon and grained leather give the bag a glossy, polished finish. On the outside, there are two side pockets with zip closures for items you want close to hand. Near the top sits a discreet pocket for small essentials, although the lack of a secure closure might make you think twice about storing anything too valuable there. The buckles, zips and branding feature silver coloured metal details that add a refined touch.
The adjustable shoulder straps are soft and flexible with generous padding, although if the bag is heavily packed you might want a little extra support for all day wear.
The main compartment closes with a strong magnetic fastening, and two additional magnets hold the flap in place for quick access without exposing the contents. A leather drawstring adds compression and another layer of security.
Inside, there is a dedicated laptop compartment (up to 14 inches) with a Velcro strap to keep it secure, as well as a smaller zipped pocket for valuables. I have spoken before about how temperamental our power supply can be, as one neighbour put it, a squirrel’s fart can cause a power cut. Thankfully for us it means getting the torches out and having to talk to each other instead of watching tv, for others it is critical to always maintain a power supply. The FlashSpeed 1500 is a powerful and portable power station designed for people who need reliable electricity away from home or as a backup during power cuts. The design certainly robust and well-built and is packed with features that offers a mix of power, speed, and flexibility.
The FlashSpeed 1500 has a 1548-watt hour capacity, giving it enough energy to run large appliances such as fridges, power tools. For example it can keep a fridge running for up to 36hr, Tv for up to 16hrs and even your microwave or dish washer for an hour or two, as well as multiple smaller devices at once. It can deliver up to 1500 watts of continuous power, with a surge output of 3000 watts for short bursts when starting demanding equipment. This makes it a versatile option for both home and outdoor use.
One of its biggest strengths is its rapid recharge speed. We have been fans of Wacaco ever since we learnt we could have decent coffee halfway up a mountain with zero interaction with other humans, bliss, now we have had a chance to look at the Picopresso, Wacacos smallest and most compact portable espresso machine. This dinky little device is just 9.05x7.24x6.64 inches and weighs only 2.75lb, the perfect travel companion, it comes with the Picopresso, double filter basket, tamper, scoop, brush, distribution tool, funnel, protective case, multi-languages instruction book, warranty card, and a Wacaco sticker because why the hell not. It features a naked portafilter, to produce delicious creamy espresso that flows directly from a standard 52mm 18 grams stainless steel filter basket. The water tank has an 80ml capacity that’s enough for a double shot. Now this isn’t a coffee machine for those lazy brewers, this can take a little time to master but it will be so worth it in the end. Saying that, it isn’t complicated to
use, just a matter of perfecting your grind, tamping, and pulling technique, once you have that down it becomes very easy, pop in your coffee, release to press handle and pump for up to 18 bar/261 psi pressure. You don’t have to worry about damaging it on your travels this thing is robust, made from metal and durable plastic it can withstand some impact and will last for years to come. When it comes to cleaning it’s worth enjoying your coffee first and allowing the metal components to cool down before getting your hands on the interior parts. We have mentioned about using the Picopresso in the great outdoors, but it can easily replace your office coffee machine and even your home maker without taking up any of your work top space. Once conquered the Picopresso produces a beautifully smooth espresso with the full depth of flavour and rich crema that you would expect from your favourite barista…which will now be you!

The Think Tank Airport International 3.0 has been made for photographers who travel often and want to keep their gear safe and organised. It feels like a piece of professional equipment rather than a bog-standard camera bag. The overall build quality reinforces this, the outer fabric is thick and tough, the handles are solid, and the 80mm wheels with sealed ABEC grade five bearings deliver a quiet and velvety smooth movement. Everything about it feels built to last. In fact, the retractable handle, wheels, wheel housings, feet and kick plate are all replaceable to even further extend the product life. There is a security cable and TSA-approved locks to give you some peace of mind when you are on the move and parted from your belongings.
Inside, the layout is just as impressive. The reinforced dividers support heavy gear and maintain strength over time. They can be moved around to fit whatever kit you have, and there is enough room for two full-size cameras with lenses attached, plus two to four extra lenses. It also has dedicated pockets for a laptop and tablet, which is handy for editing on the go which are also lockable. The main compartment opens wide, so you can see and reach everything easily, which makes it grabbing what you need for those unexpected photo opportunities a breeze.
It is not a small case though. It weighs around five kilograms when empty, which is quite a bit before you even add your gear. That said, the weight is partly what makes it so solid. The size usually fits airline carry-on requirements, but it is always worth checking before you fly. The case rolls well through airports and fits neatly in most overhead compartments but lifting it up there when full can be a bit of a workout.
Other features worth noting are the included seam sealed rain cover, the tripod attachment and side pocket, the large top compartment cradles large camera bodies for the perfect fit. It comes with a unique serial number for Lost and Found registration, there are interior zippered pockets for batteries, memory cards, filters and small accessories. The Hypalon reinforced rear corners gives added protection when bumping up and down curbs and steps.
The Airport International 3.0 is not cheap, but you can see where the money goes. It is practical, strong, and thoughtfully designed. For photographers who travel with a lot of equipment, it is an excellent and important investment. If you only carry a small kit, there are lighter and simpler options out there, but for anyone serious about protecting their gear on the road, this bag is hard to beat.

One problem that baby monitors suffer from is the fact that you either have to rely on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi for them to work. And you would be forgiven for thinking that’s not really an issue. But, the problem with either of these solutions is the fact that they can be hacked or, in the case of Wi-Fi, could cut out at any moment. So, to protect your privacy and the connection, you could take advantage of this set that utilises FHSS (Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum) instead of the other options. FHSS is basically a radio signal transmitting system that uses a large spectral band and constantly changes the frequencies to prevent interference and eaves-dropping. Bye-bye hacking concerns!
That’s one problem dealt with, what about the actual monitoring capabilities? Well, the monitoring unit has a 5.5” screen in full HD with 1080p resolution for starters and also has a split-screen mode so if you have more than one baby to keep an eye on, you don’t need to buy a second one as you get 2 cameras included in this set. There is also two way communication so if you need to sooth your toddler or gently remind them it’s sleep-time and not play-time you’ve got it covered.
There is also the ability to play white noise through the camera and you can even have it play the built-in lullabies to help sooth baby to sleep. As well as the white noise and lullabies, there is a night light with up to 6 colours and adjustable lighting levels, perfect for those little ones that need a bit of light at night time. The battery life is good for a whole night at full power (about 12 hrs) and there is a sound-activated eco-mode that automatically starts recording –it lets the battery last for 20 hrs before recharging easily enough for two nights (if you’re lucky enough that they sleep that long!).

The Minelab X Terra Intrepid Tactical Edition is a reliable and easy to use metal detector designed for beginners and hobbyists. It is still considered an entry level metal detector but there are a few more useful features that are normally found on higher end models.
This detector features a 11-inch Double D waterproof coil. This lets you traverse the shorelines, puddles and wet grasses without a worry. Although the coil is waterproof, the control box is only water resistant, so it should not be submerged or used in heavy rain.
The X Terra Voyager Tactical has four search modes, including All Metal, Custom, Jewellery, and Learn. The Learn is a cool feature, it’s like getting a dog to smell some clothing and then hunting for the owner. Basically, you wave it over your desired material, and it will look for that only. These settings make it easy to switch between general detecting and more focused treasure hunting, depending on what you are looking for. The digital display includes a clear 0 to 99 target identification scale, which helps to estimate the type of metal before digging. The pinpoint mode is useful for narrowing down the exact location of a find.

I have spoken before about not being the most green fingered plant lover and as winter creeps I would love an easy way to keep some summer colour in the house. The West Kent 5 Pod Smart Garden Mini is a neat little indoor garden setup that makes growing herbs, vegetables and even flowers feel idiot proof. For about £50 you get a compact system that fits nicely on a kitchen windowsill or small table thanks to its dinky stature (22cm (L) x 14cm (W) x 13cm (H); lights extend to 42cm). It comes with five growing pods, a tank that can hold 1.5 litres of water, 10W LED lights that can do full spectrum lighting, and automatic settings to run light and water on timers. One thing I really like is how plug in and play it is, it is so easy to under or over water indoor plants but West Kent does it all for you. You simply fill the tank, pop in the seedlings, switch it on and let the machine do the rest. The water level indicator helps avoid over or under watering. The light arm stretches to about 42 cm so plants get room to grow before it becomes awkward. The two-timer
options suit whether you are growing leafy greens or flowering plants (16 hrs on/8 hours off for herbs and vegetables or 12 hrs on/12 hours off for flowers. In everyday use it performs well. Seedlings sprout quickly under the lights, and fuss is minimal. It is very helpful for those of us without much outdoor space or in winter months when light is scarce. There are no messy bags of soil, and cleaning up is simple and the starter nutrient pack includes all the food you need for healthy plants. On the less good side, space is limited. Once the herbs or plants grow larger the pods could feel cramped, especially for bigger leafy vegetables. Also, the light arm only extends so far so taller plants may lean or need pruning. And although the LEDs are effective from above, they might not fully reach lower leaves in bushier growth. However, this hasn’t been designed to replace your allotments, it’s just perfect for some friendly little plants to brighten up the place in the simplest way possible all year round.

I remember my first Scalextric. It was back when tobacco companies were still allowed to advertise and they sponsored Formula 1 racing. I had the black John Player Special (Lotus) and a red Marlboro (McLaren) and I spent many an hour taking up the front room and racing with my dad, much to the delight of the cats also! So, is it any wonder I was dead chuffed to get to review this little beauty?
The Fast and The Furious series is, without argument, the longest-running movie franchise where the focus is cars and racing with them and so, inevitably, Scalextric were bound to get involved at some point! And they’ve really nailed it with the two cars in this set. You get Dom Toretto’s iconic black Dodge Challenger (I just love the miniature Vin Diesel in this one!) and Brian O’Connor’s orange Toyota Supra with the cool iconography on the sides, both from the first movie. The level of detail on these cars is amazing, far beyond what I experienced as a lad (unsurprising, it was a looong time ago and plastic moulding technology has
vastly improved!) and there’s plenty to appreciate. They’ve even made the effort to get the number plates right. A small detail but immensely pleasing.
From the actual ‘playing the game’ point of view, Scalextric have kept up with the times and there is an app you can get that tracks the cars as they race. There are several game modes you can select and you simply place your device on the cardboard gantry (that’s the only disappointing aspect of this kit, why not a more sturdy plastic?) and start up the game made, the app will track the cars through motion detection. A massive improvement on the old lap tracker I had to deal with which just clicked over from 0-9 when the cars moved over the clicker! If you haven’t experienced Scalextric before, give it a go, especially if you have young kids, they will love it and the cars make this one worth getting all by themselves. Christmas isn’t too far around the corner (sorry, but by the time you’re reading this, I bet you’ve already seen Christmas decs up in a store somewhere!) and it’s time to start worrying about what to get for those cycling fanatics in the family. Tyre repair kit? Chain tool? A torque tool? Or perhaps, just all of the above?
That’s literally what you get with this kit from Topeak. There are 24 components included, mostly made from aluminium and S2 hardened steel with a few pieces made from an engineering grade polymer plastic. The high torque ratchet toolbar gives you the ability to combine your tools in multiple different ways so you can always get the leverage you need with the right tool to do the job. The speed sleave bit holder greatly aids in this as you can attach it to the ratchet from multiple positions and then take advantage of the 9 different sized and shaped bits (ranging
from flathead screwdriver to different sized Phillips heads and Torx heads too) and the 9 hex bits that go from 1.5mm to 10mm giving you a very wide range that should suit whatever build you have on your bike. The ratchet also works to help you easily remove and install pedals without any additional pieces required.
The Power Link pliers are made to remove or install the master-link in your chain, making it easy to tighten or loosen it, depending on your need and there is also a chain tool provided so removing the pins is pretty straightforward. The pliers separate in to two pieces that you can then use as tire levers for when you need to sort out any punctures. Finally, there is a disc brake spacer included allowing you to safely remove the wheels without damaging the brakes.

Technics have drawn audiophiles for many years, so we were excited to find these beautiful little earbuds arrive in the office. The Technics EAH AZ100 earbuds come in Silver, Black, Champagne Gold and the new Midnight Blue. From the first use they feel luxurious, with a solid build that gives reassurance in their durability. The design is elegant but practical, offering a snug and comfortable fit for most users. The protective, charging carry case is also compact and well made.
Sound performance is where these earbuds truly stand out. The audio profile is detailed and balanced, with clear mid tones, crisp highs and rich, deep and controlled bass. Music sounds detailed and immersive, if you have only ever experience budget earbuds before your mind will truly be blow away. The clarity is equally well controlled and remains even at higher volumes. Technics has included Magnetic Fluid Drivers that minimises distortion and provides an impressive sense of space, making them an excellent choice for a wide range of genres. It feels like the difference to being at the centre of the concert verses listen from the parking lot inside your car. Noise cancelling is
functional; it adjusts in real-time to block ambient noise and maintains optimal ANC without compromising the sound quality. The transparency mode also works well for quick conversations or when awareness of surroundings is needed. Connectivity is smooth and stable, with support for multiple codecs including LDAC for high resolution streaming and multipoint pairing for connecting to three devices at once. The companion app allows users to fine tune the equaliser and customise touch controls. Battery life is pretty good at 10 hours playback with the ANC on and boosted up to 28 hours with the use of the charging case. The only drawback is that the while very good, is not quite at the level of the absolute best in the market, that’s pretty much the only negative thing I could find. The price is on the higher side, but you cannot argue that the performance doesn’t largely justify it.
Unsurpisingly, the Technics EAH AZ100 earbuds deliver premium sound, excellent features, and refined design that will please both casual listeners and audio enthusiasts alike.

The Retimer 3 may look like something out of a sci-fi flick but it is in fact a smart wearable device aimed at helping people reset their sleep - wake pattern. Specifically around tackling jet lag, irregular working hours, or just getting better quality rest. It uses a blue-green light that mimics the midday sky to trigger the retinal cells that regulate the body clock (circadian rhythm). Its all well and good being told to get out into sunlight when you first wake up but what if you have to wake up at 2am, well the tech is here to help combat that.
The light is UV-free and delivered via LEDs under the eye, which helps with precise exposure without causing damage or affecting your vision. This device is super lightweight at about 36 grams, so you can wear it comfortably at home, in the office, or while travelling (although you may get a few odd looks).
It has adjustable nose pads with three sizes, so it should fit nicely even if you wear glasses. There is also a companion app for Android and iOS that helps you track progress, set schedules, and integrate with Apple Health or Android Health, which is useful if you like monitoring sleep or wellbeing.
The improved battery life is decent at around five to six hours per charge. So that’s about a weeks’ worth of sessions depending on your settings. The device comes with a pouch, a travel case, and the nosepieces, so you have what you need to use it comfortably and protect it. You shouldn’t expect instant results however, you need daily sessions of around 30-45 minutes to see benefits, especially when adjusting sleep cycle or overcoming jet lag. Even then the results can vary from person to person.
Also some users might find the light exposure uncomfortable at first, especially if sensitive to bright light. It is specialised so the price might seem steep compared with simpler sleep aids. As the 3rd generation of its kind there are some upgrades, including intelligent sleep insights powered by an AI engine, a new half-brightness mode, better light indicators for ease of use and improvements with both the App performance and Bluetooth connection.
Overall, the Retimer 3 is an interesting wearable piece for people serious about improving sleep and regulating circadian rhythm. If you are willing to use it regularly and have the cash to spare, it could make a real difference.

The roaster case is slightly larger than the CBR-101 though (496 x 276 x 277mm), so you’ll want enough bench space. The “modern skin” on the 301 makes it look fresh and updated, with a choice of Black and White.
It has an off-axis twisting system for an even and consistent roast. The unattended operation prevention function means that when the device reaches the set temperature (200-230 degrees Celsius) before the roasting time is up a beeping alarm with sound. If no button is pressed within 30 seconds, it will automatically switch to cooling mode. If you open the door the roasting will be paused, and a door open buzzer will sound. You can also stop roasting at anytime manually.
A Potential downside is that if you’re used to full manual control or large-batch roasting, you might find limitations. For example, the app is great, but people who prefer “old school” manual dials say they’ll use that instead. Also, heating ramps and cooling phases may take a bit of trial and error to get exactly how you like them. Overall the Gene Café CBR-301 looks like a strong evolution of the CBR-101, adding modern touches, improved chaff handling, and useful digital features without losing the charm of the original. If you roast at home, enjoy tweaking settings, and want something visually slick and well thought out, this could be a very good buy.

You can trust Finisterre to get a whole bunch of recycled material and create something both practical and super stylish. The Skybird Jacket is available in both men and womens designs. This jacket sits between lightweight shells and heavyweight storm jackets in terms of protection, bringing a blend of toughness, comfort, and style.
Right away you notice the materials. It uses a 3-layer recycled polyester fabric with a ripstop outer layer that resists tearing as the name suggests. Fully taped seams and a longish cut help keep out driving rain. The hood, hem and cuffs are all adjustable to seal out the elements when needed, and the raglan sleeves allow better movement and help water run off the arms.
In use it performs very well. It has a hydrostatic head rating of 12,000mm, so it handles steady rain and sudden downpours reliably. The breathability is around 10,000 g/m², which helps when you are exerting yourself (walking briskly or carrying a bag). The water proofing is PFA free since Finisterre eliminated harsh fluorocarbon chemicals from their waterproofs in 2017. This helps them maintaining the highest water repellent standards without compromising the environment.
While it packs down more or less into a rucksack, it is not ultralight at 362g, which some people may find it a bit bulky for long hiking days. It also feels stiffer than simpler rain jackets making it is less ideal for fast-paced or alpine style. However, the comfort is good. The longer body length gives better coverage in wind and rain, and the hood fits well without being overly big. Zipped pockets are secure for keeping essentials dry.
The Skybird is an excellent all-weather jacket for UK use if your priority is keeping dry and coping with harsh weather, rather than chasing ultralight or minimal gear. If your activities are walking, commuting or general outdoor use in changeable weather, it is a very strong option. One of my favourite things to do is take my little boy out for a bike ride in his Hamax seat. We have the best, often hilarious chats as we cycle through the countryside. Long before our lives were ruled by two tiny humans, we used to do a bit of back packing. So, we have done our fair share of hostel sink laundry, at times our clothes were at risk of coming out dirtier than when they went in. We could have definitely used the Scrubba. At first glance it looks like a small dry bag but inside it has a flexible washboard covered in small nodules. You fill it with water, add a little detergent, seal it, then rub the clothes against the nodules for 30 seconds to 3 minutes to clean them. The grip backing on the outside prevents it sliding on surfaces while washing, I can even be done with one hand.
Things can’t really be the simple right? Well as far as we could tell the Scrubba is surprisingly effective. Light items such as shirts, underwear and socks come out noticeably fresher and cleaner after only a few minutes of agitation. Heavier garments like jeans or jumpers need more effort and time but the results are still better than handwashing in a sink. The process is straightforward once you get used to it, though it can take a bit of practice to find the right balance of water and air inside the bag for best results.
One of the main advantages of the Scrubba is its portability. It weighs very little at just 150g and folds down small enough to fit into a backpack or suitcase pocket (16cm x 6cm x 6cm). It is ideal for long trips, festivals, or even for emergencies when your washing machine breaks down. The bag also does double as a dry bag, which is a nice bonus for outdoor enthusiasts. Cleaning the Scrubba itself is easy; just rinse it out and leave it to dry. Its diminutive size means it can only handle two T-shirts, two pairs of socks and two pairs of underwear per load but this is fine for lightweight travelling.
The one of the drawbacks is the price, which feels a little high for what is essentially a waterproof bag with a textured liner. We also found that items sometime needed a quick rinse under running water to get rid of all the soap residue. Still, considering its quality, durability and convenience, it offers good value for anyone who travels often or likes to pack light. Overall the Scrubba is a well designed piece of kit that does exactly what it promises and can make doing laundry on the go much less of a chore.
The Roll Top is one of those bags that will become your old reliable go to bag for multiple occasions whether you are going to work, the gym, the shops or days out, it combines a good amount of organised storage with robust defences against bad weather and rugged environments.

I have always had trouble sitting still and the classic office desk set up have never worked for me. We have had an adjustable height desk for so long it’s hard to imagine working at a regular one. The Purus Life E Max Desk however is a much more stylish version than mine, with a glass top and options of white or black colouring. The top is made from strong 5mm tempered glass, which feels solid and looks impressive. It is easy to clean but does show fingerprints quite quickly, so you might find yourself wiping it down more often if you prefer a neater workspace. The dual motor system lets you adjust the height smoothly between 74cm and 118cm, and it does so quietly. You can move between sitting and standing without any wobble.
It can handle up to 120kg, so there is plenty of room for your monitors, laptop, accessories, cats, whatever your set up entiles. The desk has some great tech features too, like a built-in wireless charger, USB A and USB C ports, and three programmable height settings so you can save your favourite positions. There is a safety feature that stops the desk if it bumps into something while moving and you can even set sit/stand reminders, There is a slim drawer under the desk for keeping small things tidy and a cable tray to help manage wires. Assembly is straightforward, and most people can put it together in less than half an hour. The glass is whiteboard marker friendly which is super handy for noting down quick reminders or entertaining the toddler whilst I finish up for the day. It is worth noting that the glass surface can scratch if you are not careful, and it is heavy, so setting it up might take two people. Other than that there wasn’t much we didn’t love and with all the health benefits you can gain from getting up from that office chair it’s a no brainer in our eyes.
Overall, the Purus Life E Max Desk is a brilliant choice if you want a smart, flexible workspace. It looks good, works smoothly, and has some thoughtful features that make everyday use easier and more enjoyable.

The sound that gets through to your ears is capped at 82dB’s max but you can adjust the amplification level to suit your needs meaning you’re still able to hear everything around you, just at a lower volume. In this respect it works in a similar way to a hearing aid, transferring outside noises to your ear at a volume that works for you and, with a transference speed of just 2 milliseconds, there is no noticeable lag. As well as this, if the noise level reaches 85dB’s or higher, the protectors just block it out, ensuring your hearing safety.

We’ve reviewed a fair few IsoTunes products over the last couple of years and I don’t believe we’ve had one yet that we haven’t been impressed with. You could be forgiven for thinking they’ve reached a peak so, what can they do to improve on what they’ve already done? Well, new innovations in design and improvements in tech happen constantly and IsoTunes have taken these improvements and come up with this set of ear buds, an improvement over the original IsoTunes Pro.
For starters, they’ve redesigned the hook on the ear piece itself making for a tighter, more secure fit with less likelihood of the ear piece coming loose during use. The SNR has improved too, jumping from 27 to 36, giving you much more protection from external noise than the previous version and the maximum decibel output is capped at 82, keeping your delicate hearing safe. They’ve also increased the water and dust proof rating with this new set rocking in at IP67 so you can be content that they won’t get damaged with dust or moisture and can even go swimming in shallow depths for around half hour or so, just keep an eye on the time!
The Bluetooth has improved to 5.0 from 4.1, the battery life is now 16 hours (dependant on volume levels of course) rather than 10 and even the buttons on the controller are larger and more defined making for easier use. In fact, the only thing I found that hasn’t changed is the weight! Oh, and the choice of ear tips is still the same. The sound quality is fairly rounded with a decent bass and the noise cancellation still does what it needs to do, making these particularly useful if you’re working in a busy environment and don’t want to be wearing massive ear protectors. You could be doing a lot worse for this price!

The overall build quality is excellent. The unit feels sturdy and well balanced, and it is fully waterproof to a depth of around five metres, which means it can be used confidently on beaches or in shallow rivers.
What makes it a great choice for beginners is how straightforward it is to operate. It offers four preset search modes called Field, Park, Beach and Jewellery. These allow the user to quickly get the hang of different ground conditions without needing to learn complicated adjustments. The control layout is clear and simple, and settings such as discrimination, sensitivity, and volume are all easy to reach.
The Findx Pro performs well in a wide range of conditions. It is particularly good at seeking out coins, relics and jewellery at moderate depths. It appears accurate up to about eight inches for coin sized targets, depending on soil type. While it can detect larger objects at greater depths, this is not its strongest area so for the solid gold statues might require an equipment upgrade. The target identification numbers (0-99) are generally reliable, although they can become less stable in highly mineralised ground.
The built in rechargeable battery is a practical addition and removes the need to buy and carry spare batteries.
Charging through a standard USB connection and will last about 12hours. A backlit screen and a small LED light are thoughtful touches that make detecting easier in low light conditions.
Overall, the Nokta Findx Pro represents very good value for money. It is an ideal choice for anyone new to metal detecting or for hobbyists who want an affordable but capable machine. It may not offer the depth or advanced features of higher end models, but within its range it performs impressively and provides a satisfying and dependable experience.

The Linsoul 7HZ Timeless II is a great upgrade on the original model and an impressive pair of earphones for the price. It keeps everything people loved about the first version but feels more refined, better built, and a lot more flexible thanks to its tuning options.
It uses a 14.5 mm planar magnetic driver with dual magnets, and a silver alloy coated diaphragm, which helps it deliver a clean, detailed sound. The housing has also been redesigned with better venting and internal support, so it feels solid and sounds more stable.
There are four interchangeable tuning nozzles that come in the box. Each one changes the sound slightly, so you can add a bit more treble sparkle or tone things down depending on your taste. The cable has also had a redesign, made from single crystal copper and offering both 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm connections, so you can easily use it with different devices.
The sound itself is excellent. The bass is punchy and tight, with good depth but no muddiness. The mids sound clear and open, and the treble has a nice sparkle without becoming sharp or tiring. The soundstage feels wide and natural, with plenty of space between instruments. It works well for all sorts of music, from acoustic tracks to electronic or rock. It really is an absolute pleasure to listen to, you can find elements in your favourite songs you never new existed before.
Comfort is decent, though the short nozzles can make it tricky to get the perfect seal, especially if you have smaller ears like I do. They are still light enough for everyday use, and you do not need any fancy gear to get great sound out of them.
The fit could be better and the slightly bright treble might be too much for some listeners. The case could also be better padded. Still, the Timeless II offers brilliant detail, energy, and value for money. It is a top choice if you want to try planar earphones without spending a fortune.

I’ll admit I’m a little late to the Loop game, a couple of my friends were raving about them, but I never paid too much attention until was trying to find ways to help my focus whilst working from home with the kids off during the Xmas holidays. I can now say I’m converted thanks to the Quiet 2 so I was excited to see what the Switch 2 had to offer. It comes in the choice of four colours, Gold, Silver, Black and Emerald and the limited edition collaboration with the McLaren F1 Team, just like the other Loops they look sleek, modern and discrete. What makes these stand out from their other options? They offer adjustable noise reduction, clever, right?
They come with four different-sized ear tips, so finding a comfy fit and precise seal is easy, there are now made from soft, skin-friendly silicone, so you won’t be dying to take them out after an hour. They also come with a handy travel case but if you want the Link neck cord you will need to hand over another £19. The body has been reworked for a slimmer profile and its right here that you can play with the adjustable noise relief without even having to remove them from your ears. With a simple twist you can choose between the three modes, the Engage Mode (-20 dB), this lowers background noise but still lets you hear conversations clearly. The Experience Mode (-23 dB) is a happy medium—great for concerts or crowded places. Whilst the Quiet Mode (-26 dB) is the best for really loud situations when you just need some peace.
This flexibility makes them way more useful than traditional earplugs, which just block everything out. Also, the fit may take some trial and error.

I was so excited when the Steampunk Realistic Cannibal Flower from Metalkitor arrive on my desk. The combo of model building, plants, steam punk and monsters, that’s basically all my favourite things minus chocolate. It is equal parts creepy and cool, like something you would find growing in a mad inventor’s greenhouse. The mix of different coloured metal parts and whirring gears gives it proper steampunk vibes, and once it is built it looks amazing from every angle.
Putting it together is half the fun. The metal pieces slot neatly into place, and the instructions are easy to follow, even if you are not a regular model builder. Watching the flower slowly take shape feels really satisfying, especially when you add the final touches and see how all the mechanical parts move together. It looks like it could actually bite down on something at any moment.
The materials range from stainless steel, alloy and copper, it feels solid and well made, with a nice bit of weight to them.
