Review Smiths

Welcome to the 50th edition of The Review Smiths! Reaching this milestone is a huge moment for us, and we’re thrilled to have you along for the ride. Whether you’ve been with us from the start or just discovered us, thank you for being part of the journey.

Our mission has always been simple: real reviews, no fluff—just honest takes on the gadgets and gear that make everyday life a little better (or at least a lot more fun). This special edition reflects that perfectly, with a mix of practical tools, outdoor essentials, and nostalgic favourites.

We’ve gone hands-on with camping hammocks perfect for spring escapes, tested the cleaning power of a top-tier pressure washer, and tackled lawn care with a surprisingly effective scarifier. We’ve also taken the Yoto Player for a spin—it’s still one of the best screen-free audio gadgets for kids. And for a touch of retro joy? We brought out the big guns with a full review of Scalextric—because who doesn’t love a bit of high-speed miniature racing?

Here’s to the next 50 editions—packed with curiosity, chaos, and cracking gadgets.

AvANTree HArmONy 2

The Avantree Harmony 2 is a wireless stereo home speaker system that comes in the form of three speakers, a transmitter, optical and AUX 3.5mm audio cables, power cable for transmitter and 3 charging cables. The speakers aren’t super unique looking, but that not necessarily a bad thing, not everyone wants to show off their speakers, they are compact enough to fit on a desk, shelf, or bedside table.

The Harmony 2 packs dual 10W drivers and dual bass radiators, which delivers crisp highs, clear mids, and decent amount of bass without distortion, even at higher volumes. While it won’t shake the walls like a full-blown subwoofer, it still delivers a warm, immersive sound that works well for everything from podcasts to action-packed movies. The volumes can be individually adjusted directly on the speakers, there’s a handy hook on the back which allows the speakers to be hung up. The built in battery means you can easily take these outside and handy them off some trees for and outdoors party.

When it comes to connectivity there are a range of options, it supports, Bluetooth 5.0 for stable wireless streaming with minimal lag, AUX input for wired connections, USB port for a flash drive and play music directly and even a MicroSD card slot for those who still love memory cards. When connected to the transmitter to an something like your phone, laptop, or TV via Bluetooth, optical, or AUX, and output audio through all three speakers simultaneously. The range between the speakers and the transmitter is 65 ft (20 m), and the range between the transmitter and the Bluetooth audio source is 15 ft (5 m).

The controls are intuitive, with easy-to-access buttons for volume, playback, and mode selection. There is potential to scale up by connecting up to 100 Harmony 2 add-on speakers to the transmitter while maintaining low latency. Please note that ONLY Harmony 2 add-on speakers are compatible due to private protocol connections. You just need to turn the transmitter and speakers on and they’ll automatically connect, no app or pairing required.

The Avantree Harmony 2 is a low cost, speaker system that delivers clear, immersive sound with multiple connectivity options. Its probably not one for the audiophiles due to the lack of a sub but if you want a portable stereo set up with zero latency then the Avantree Harmony 2 might be worth checking out.

We all know the great outdoors is good for the soul, however trying to relax on a wonky camping chair or laying with rocks under the ground mat is not. ENO offers an alternative with the travel nest hammock which can elevate any outdoor experience (as long as you have trees) and has been designed with adventurers in mind. It’s more than just a place to lounge, it’s a well-engineered piece of gear packed with features that make it perfect for camping, backpacking, or even backyard relaxation.

It comes in a compact integrated stuff sack allowing it to pack into itself, making it incredibly easy to store and transport. Plus, when it’s in use, the stuff sack doubles as a handy pocket for your phone, snacks, or other small essentials. The TravelNest comes with tree-safe straps that distribute weight evenly, reducing damage to tree bark. The adjustable system makes setup effortless, for real, even those who have never even touched a tent before can handle this. Just wrap the straps around a sturdy tree, clip in the included carabiners, and you’re good to go, no need for complicated knots!

It is constructed from parachute-grade 70D nylon, making it both ultra-lightweight and incredibly tough. It supports up to 400 lbs (181 kg) without sagging, stretching, or feeling flimsy. The proprietary FreeWave fabric is bluesign approved, meaning that it conserves resources and protects the health of the environment, workers, and you. The material is also breathable and quick-drying, perfect for humid or damp conditions. Unlike some hammocks that feel narrow and restrictive, the 9ft TravelNest is generously sized, allowing you to lie flat or diagonally for maximum comfort. The fabric has a slight stretch to conform to your body, making it great for a full night’s sleep or a mid-day snooze. There are options to pair it with an ENO rainfly or bug net for all-weather versatility.

The ENO TravelNest is a great hammock that balances portability, comfort, and durability. It doesn’t take up much space and certainly doesn’t add a lot to the weight to your gear making it a travel friendly choice for outdoor adventures. The idiot proof design, easy setup, and adventure-ready build, alongside it being ridiculously comfy and super low cost, makes it a no brainer, tent? what tent?

KAbuTO FleX CAbIN eXpANdAble

I love to do two types of travelling, the backpack vibe that involves washing my pants in a sink and sleeping in hostels and then there’s the luxury holiday type where I like to get truly pampered and act like I’m low-level royalty. The issue is my tatty old backpack is not welcome one the luxury holidays. That’s where the Kabuto FLEX CABIN Expandable comes gliding in. This super model of a bag comes in three designs, Blue Silver, White Silver and Black Copper.

As soon as I got my hands on the FLEX CABIN I noticed it feels premium and well-built. The shell is durable yet lightweight (3.4kg), and the design is sleek and modern and it definitely looks high-end. One of its biggest selling points is the expandable feature, allowing you to switch from 55x35x23cm (carry-on size) to 75x35x23cm (checked size) and 50% more volume with a simple unzip. This is a game-changer for anyone who tends to return home with more than they left with, I like my luxury holidays but I also like my tacky souvenirs.

The silent, 360° spinner wheels roll effortlessly, making navigating airports a breeze. Plus, the TSA-approved fingerprint lock adds an extra layer of security, no more fumbling for tiny keys or remembering codes. Inside, the layout is well thought out, there’s plenty of space for clothes, and the compartments are smartly designed to keep everything organised. The removable laptop pocket is a nice touch, making it easy to pull out your device at security checks and the clever, built-in USB charging port (10,000mah), lets you charge up your devices on the go. The removable battery slides into the front pocket and can be positioned to charge a device internally or externally.

The Kabuto FLEX CABIN Expandable is a fantastic travel companion for those who want a premium, stylish, and highly functional suitcase. The expandable capacity, security features, and smooth wheels make it a joy to use. Everything thing has been considered even down to the telescopic handle that sits flush to the main body to both avoid snagging and giving you a flat work surface if needed. If you travel frequently or just enjoy the finer things in life this bag is absolutely worth considering.

IFIXIT prO TeCH GO TOOlKIT

If you’ve ever tossed out a phone because the battery wouldn’t hold a charge or replaced a laptop because one tiny part failed, you’re not alone. Electronics are built to be disposable these days, and that’s a huge problem. E-waste is piling up in landfills, and manufacturers make repairs harder than ever. That’s exactly why I love the iFixit Pro Tech Go Toolkit, it gives you the tools to fix your own tech, save money, and help the planet.

The Pro Tech Go Toolkit comes with a variety of 32 S2 steel bits and a curated selection of other repair tools, making professional-grade repairs accessible to everyone. There are even two free tool slots in the kit, letting you add your own tools for your unique repair needs. Cheap toolkits exist but they usually strip screws, snap under pressure, or don’t have the right bits for modern gadgets. iFixit’s tools are solid, well-made, and built to last, which means you’re not adding broken tools to the waste

problem either. Plus, the case is compact and wellorganized, so you can throw it in a bag and be ready for on-the-go fixes.

Its compact size means you can chuck it in your tool kit or pop it in the car, ready to deploy whenever its needed. The included tools let you tackle a range of modern tech issues whether you’re swapping a battery, fixing joystick drift on your Joy-Cons, or upgrading RAM in your laptop. Every repair you do means one less device in the landfill and one less unnecessary purchase.

If you want to fight back against disposable tech culture, care about sustainability, saving money, and making tech last longer, the iFixit Pro Tech Go Toolkit is a no-brainer. It’s not just about fixing stuff, it’s about changing how we think about our devices, plus the website has loads of repairs guides and forums to help you so don’t be intimidated.

reusCH FAsTGrIp GOld X

When it comes to goalkeeper gloves, Reusch is a safe pair of hands (sorry, I couldn’t resist). I know this mostly because my nephew swears by them, and since he plays about five games a week, he should know. The Reusch Fastgrip Gold X gloves immediately stood out for their ultra-tacky Gold X latex, which is exactly what you want for maximum grip.

These gloves are designed with a pre-shaped anatomical construction, slightly spreading the fingers into a natural catching position to reduce fatigue. The neoprene backhand adds flexibility and comfort, making movement feel effortless. One feature I really liked is the wrapped latex palm, which extends down to the wrist, increasing the catching surface area. The 3D thumb crotch eliminates annoying seams, enhancing the ergonomic fit.

The AdaptiveFlex Closure ensures a precise and stable fit throughout the match, while ventilation holes keep airflow steady, preventing sweaty, uncomfortable hands. On the pitch, the grip is ridiculously good. The Gold X latex is incredibly sticky, making catching and holding onto shots feel effortless, even in wet conditions. However, like all ultra-soft latex palms, they wear down quickly—a trade-off for high performance.

These aren’t the type of gloves you’ll be using for months unless you rotate them (which my nephew does). They’re designed for match-day performance, not longevity, so if you’re looking for the absolute best grip, they’re a fantastic choice. But if you want something that lasts longer, you might need to compromise on grip quality. For serious goalkeepers, though, these are a game-changer.

AlCOseNse ulTrA

As a 90s kid it has been drummed into me with terrifying adverts just how dangerous drinking and driving is, so if I am driving, I avoid drinking alcohol. However, there have been situations the morning after a heavy night where I’m questioning how much alcohol could still be in my system. Alcosense have a range of personal breathalysers to take the unknown out of your blood alcohol levels.

The Ultra is Alcosense’s top-of-the-line personal breathalyser which can be used at home or in a professional setting. It had been designed with precision and reliability in mind, it comes with the same fuel-cell sensor technology used in police devices, making it far more accurate than cheaper models on the market. This is the 200mm² fuel cell sensor, which is highly sensitive and provides results accurate to within ±0.07‰ BAC (Blood Alcohol Content), -0.00‰BAC. That’s seriously impressive for a consumer-grade device and unlike basic breathalysers, which can give unreliable readings due to low-quality sensors, this one delivers police-grade accuracy, meaning you can genuinely trust the results.

The 2.8-inch full-colour screen makes navigating the menus straightforward, and the device provides step-by-step guide on how to take a proper test. If you’ve ever used a breathalyser before, you’ll know how easy it is to mess up a test by blowing too softly or too hard, the BlowCoach (lol) tells you exactly how to do it correctly. The results are super easy to read too, Green means Zero alcohol, Red means you are close or over them limit and tells you not to drive. Amber tells you how close to the limit you are, both Red and Amber tell you when you should be sober and you can set an alarm to remind you when to test again.

The ultra lets you adjust the limits based on different countries’ drink-driving laws and the morning after function will estimate how long alcohol is likely to remain in your system based on your test results. The device itself feels solid and well-built, the rechargeable lithium-ion battery is another plus it lasts for around 400 tests per charge, meaning you won’t need to worry about it running out of power too often.

At just under £250, the AlcoSense Ultra isn’t cheap, but if you want accuracy, reliability, and genuinely useful features, it’s worth the investment. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to be absolutely certain they’re safe to drive after drinking. If you take road safety seriously, this is one of the best breathalysers you can buy.

One of the many things that lockdown taught us was just how painful it can be when we are apart from the people we love. Bond Touch have created a sweet way to stay connected with a very simple idea. You and your person both wear a band, and when one of you taps it, the other feels a gentle vibration that mimics a human touch and sees a light. It uses Haptic Touch, which is Bond Touch’s tactile feedback technology designed to create subtle vibrations that feel like real physical contact. You can create your own little phrases with taps and long presses on the bracelet, and the way it feels on your wrist makes it much more engaging than, say, a smartwatch notification. At first, you might wonder why something like this is necessary when we all have mobiles. But actually, there are so many people who would benefit from it. For starters, my eldest is starting school soon and feeling a bit anxious about being away from home. I could see this being such a comfort for them throughout the day. My dad, who cannot stand his phone and struggles with messaging, would love something like this too. It is a quiet, simple way of saying, “I’m here,” without needing a phone call or a text.

Setting it up is really straightforward. You pair the band with your phone through the Bond Touch app, customise the LED light colour, and just like that, you are connected. The app has come a long way since earlier versions. You can send touches, check the battery, see if you are connected, and even keep track of how many touches you have exchanged. The Bond Touch 4 band itself is slimmer and more stylish than previous versions. It is comfortable, not bulky, and looks good with pretty much anything. Battery life is decent too, lasting around four days depending on use.

The app also lets you add meanings to your regular touch patterns, has a shared countdown to your next meeting, and includes a gallery for sharing and saving photos. There are a few small downsides. The Bluetooth connection can drop if your phone is not nearby, and both people need to keep the app running in the background. It also only supports one-to-one connections, which is a bit of a shame. Still, as a meaningful, low-effort way to stay close, it is genuinely lovely.

eCOvACs deebOT N30 prO OmNI

We’re already fans of Ecovacs, I mean, who wouldn’t want a little robot tootling about the place, cleaning up after you? It’s exactly what all those '80s films promised technology would become.

Despite all the features the N30 Pro Omni offers, you might be surprised at how straightforward the setup is. The app walks you through everything: connecting to Wi-Fi, mapping your space, and setting cleaning schedules.

First off, the TrueMapping Navigation is impressively accurate. It uses laser mapping to scan and create a map of your space with surprising speed, completing a 100-square-metre map in just six minutes. No random bumping about, it plans its route and cleans in neat, efficient rows. You can even set no-go zones or customise which rooms to clean and when, all through the app. It also features advanced obstacle detection and can overcome barriers up to 20 mm high. The vacuuming power is strong for its size. With 4000Pa suction, it easily picks up pet hair, crumbs, and everyday dust. It automatically boosts suction when it moves onto carpets, and the dual side brushes help it reach edges and corners better than most robot vacuums. That said, it still can’t get right into tight corners, but honestly, we’ve yet to find a robot vacuum that can.

One of the standout features is the mopping system. It has dual spinning mop pads and intelligent water control, so it doesn’t just drag a damp cloth around, it scrubs, with pressure. And when it detects carpet, it lifts the mop pads automatically. No wet rugs, no drama.

Another first, this is the debut Deebot to feature ZeroTangle 2.0 technology. It uses a 45° V-shaped anti-tangle bristle design to lift hair, a spiral brush to centralise it, and comb-array teeth to dynamically untangle it, keeping suction strong and maintenance minimal.

The battery lasts up to 320 minutes on a single charge. You also get voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant for hands-free cleaning.

And finally, the OMNI station. It’s like the Deebot’s personal assistant, auto-emptying the dustbin, washing and hot air-drying the mop pads, refilling the water tank, and charging the bot. Seriously, it’s like having a tiny cleaning crew living in your hallway.

The Deebot N30 Pro Omni is packed with smart features that genuinely make life easier. It vacuums, it mops, it maintains itself, meaning clean floors are one less thing taking up your time or headspace.

ZeNIKO ZF08 ON-CAmerA FlAsH

The Zeniko ZF08 on-camera flash is a compact, lightweight flash accessory that offers photographers the benefits of lighting without added bulk. This dinky flash weighs only 36 grams, a good option for those looking to minimise the gear they are carrying around but like to level up their photography game.

The design of the ZF08 is compact and minimalistic, it is compatible with a wide range of camera models through its universal hot shoe mount. Despite its small size, the flash feels robust enough to withstand regular use in various environments, from indoor events to outdoor street photography.

This flash uses a lithium battery capable of delivering approximately 440 full-power flashes on a single charge. This is a good number of shots when you consider the low-price tag, it is worth noting it will take 1hr 10mins for a full recharge. The flash recycles reasonably fast, in under three seconds, it means you will have to pace yourself a little but you’re not waiting around for long.

The colour temperature is 6500K and there are five levels of flash output to play with that range from 1/1 to 1/16 providing a balanced illumination suitable for a range of shooting conditions. A handy feature is the USB Type-C charging port, this means you can charge it on the go with a power bank or off your laptop whilst you edit your shots. The automatic sleep mode ensures it powers off after 30 minutes of inactivity to conserve energy, even when you forget to turn it off.

The Zeniko ZF08 stands out as a practical on-camera flash that balances portability, performance, and affordability. Its lightweight build, reasonable flash recycling times, and healthy battery life makes it worth looking at for photographers seeking a compact yet powerful lighting accessory.

bOOmIN belTs

So, here’s one you almost definitely haven’t seen before, a belt that can blast out your favourite tunes. At first all I could imagine was some irritating oik on the bus blaring out tinny EDM from their waist, but to be fair they will do that on their phones anyway, there’s no stopping them. However, when I took a second to silence my inner Karen and read up on the inspiration behind the Boomin Belt it suddenly made a lot of sense. The creator behind this niche little gadget is a keen golfer and wanted a handsfree way to enjoy and share their music with their friends whilst playing. The belt comes in two colours, grey or black and looks like an unassuming standard nylon web belt, but the magic is in the buckle. It’s a two-piece design with a magnetic speaker attachment, so you can pop it off when needed and replace it with a buckle cover. The belt itself is comfortable, has a little stretch, and fits waists up to 56 inches, so it’s pretty versatile. The buckle locks in securely, which is a plus since you don’t want your speaker flying off mid-stride. The magnetic connection also means you can pop it on the buggy or cart when you want to step away from the audio for shots that require extra concentration. For something the size of a belt buckle, the speaker is surprisingly decent. It’s not going to replace your high-end Bluetooth speaker, but it delivers clear audio with some surprising bass for its size. The volume is good for personal listening, but don’t expect it to blast music at a party. If you’re seated or have a bigger waistline, the sound can get muffled, which is something to consider. It features Bluetooth 5.3 for reliable connection, 4GB of internal storage (for playing music without a phone) and up to 6 hours battery life (USB-C charging). Although the internal storage is a cool feature, there is no shuffle mode, so your music will always play in order, like in the olden days. Boomin Belts is more than just a gimmick, it’s actually a functional gadget. If you love quirky fashion and personal music devices, this could be a fun addition to your wardrobe. Aimed but not limited to golfers, I would happily go jogging or cycling with this so I can still hear the world around me, but I do live in a very rural area, I think I’d look a bit of a tool in urban settings.

yOTO plAyer

This one, just like its mini counterpart, makes use of cards to provide an easy, kid-friendly way to choose what they want to listen to. There are over a thousand titles to choose from, purchasable on their website and, of course, you can create your own cards, adding whatever you wish to them, including your own audio recordings if you wish. To get started, you will need to connect to the Yoto App which then gives parental control over different elements such as maximum volume limits for day and night. The Player has the ability to hold over 600 hours-worth of audio (the cards act as triggers to play content already on the player) and the battery can last for 24 hours so if used all day, you should only need to charge it once every couple of days at most.

The big, easy to grab buttons make using the Yoto Player a breeze for small hands and it comes with other handy features such as an ambient night-light with a choice of 7 different colours and a room temperature gauge. These functions are controlled via the app giving you, the parent, ultimate control over what your child is able to do with the unit but also providing a great degree of control for them, giving them a level of independence that you can manage. The app also gives you access to kid-friendly radio stations, practical things such as a 2 minute toothbrush timer track, a homework timer and many other things to help set good habits without the need for you to constantly badger them! It’s a great tool all round and an easy to use aide to parenting.

Is there anything quite as cool as seeing group of motorcyclists passing by on the road, though I did always wonder how they could tell each other if some had to stop for petrol or needed a wee. Turns out they can chat easily over a mesh intercom and they don’t come much more up to date than the Cardo PACKTALK PRO. This waterproof gadget takes motorcycle communication to the next level, building on previous models with some seriously useful upgrades for modern riders. It comes in a sleek and discrete black-on-black design, it looks great on just about any helmet. The magnetic "Air Mount" system makes it super easy to attach and remove—no fiddling around required. It has an IP67 rating, meaning it can handle rain, dust, and whatever else the road throws at you, even when you can’t.

The come with built in 45mm JBL speakers that pack a punch and deliver clear, powerful sound even at high speeds. The advanced noise-cancellation helps cut down wind and road noise, so your audio and conversations come through without distraction. This second-generation Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) can connect up to 15 riders seamlessly. People can join or leave the group (for petrol or a wee) without messing up the whole system. It supports Bluetooth 5.2, so it pairs easily with your phone, GPS, and other devices and offers up to 13 hours of battery life, it’ll probably last longer than your butt cheeks.

One important feature we loved is the automatic crash detection system, which uses built-in sensors to detect a serious impact. If that happens, it can send an alert with your location to a pre-set emergency contact, especially essential for solo riders. That said, it’s worth checking Cardo’s website to confirm if this feature works in your region (it’s available in most of Europe, North, Central & South America, Asia, and Australia). Another smart touch is the auto on/off function, which uses motion sensors to save battery by turning the device on only when you're wearing your helmet, so its one less thing to remember.

The voice commands make hands-free operation a breeze, though it might take a little practice to get used to them. The volume wheel is glove-friendly, but some buttons can be a bit tricky to find without looking. Connecting it to the Cardo Connect app unlocks extra features, customisation options, and firmware updates.

Overall, the PACKTALK PRO is a top-tier motorcycle comms system with fantastic audio, rock-solid connectivity, and thoughtful safety features. It’s on the pricier side, but if you want a high-quality, reliable setup for your rides, it's definitely worth the investment.

If you’ve ever stood there pumping away at a mountain bike tyre with a regular floor pump, you know the struggle, it can feel like a million strokes and barely any progress. That’s where the Topeak JoeBlow Mountain EX comes in, and honestly, it makes life things much easier.

This pump is made specifically for mountain and fat bike tyres, so it’s all about high volume, not high pressure. The barrel is extra wide, which means you get loads of air with each pump. It seriously cuts down the effort and time it takes to inflate big tyres, a couple of quick strikes and you’re good to go. It’s one of those things you don’t realise you needed until you use it.

The gauge is also a big win, it’s large, easy to read, and sits high on the barrel so you don’t have to crouch or squint. It is calibrated for lower pressures (up to 75 psi), and it’s accurate for MTB setups, which is great if you’re trying to dial in that sweet spot for trail grip.

The TwinHead design is super handy too. No faffing around with adapters, it works with both Presta and Schrader valves straight out of the box, and it fits snugly without leaking. The hose is a decent length with a swivel at the base, so it’s flexible enough to use comfortably whether your bike is on a rack or the floor. Build-wise, it feels solid. Topeak’s known for making durable gear, and this pump is no different, sturdy steel barrel, wide base provides stability but is made of plastic, the nicely padded handle that doesn’t dig into your palms.

The only catch? It’s not for high-pressure tyres, so if you ride road bikes too, you’ll probably want a different pump for that. But for mountain bikes, gravel, or anything chunky, this thing’s a beast.

In short, the JoeBlow Mountain EX does exactly what it promises, it makes inflating big tyres faster, easier, and efficiently. A worthwhile addition to your garage.

If you’re on the hunt for a tough and modern wallet that doesn’t bulk up your pocket, the Ekster Cardholder Pro might just be your new best friend, the bonus is this Bundle comes with the Ekster Key Case too. Its available in Jet Black, Midnight Blue, Space Grey, Desert Red and Forest Green, with the matching colour Key Case. First off, the design is super clean, minimalist but with a premium-feeling. The 100% aluminium case gives it a sturdy, durable vibe. It feels great in hand and even better when you slide it into your pocket, no awkward bulges or bulky shapes.

The unique feature here is the pop-up card mechanism. One press of the button, and your cards fan out like magic. It’s smooth, fast, and makes grabbing your most-used cards so much easier. It holds about 5–7 cards in the main slot, with the option of doubling that if you utilise the back pocket or strap, so if you’re a card hoarder, you might find it a bit tight. But for everyday carry for example your ID, a couple of bank cards, maybe a travel card, it’s perfect. It even has RFID protection, which is great peace of mind in the contactless age. If I had one gripe, it’s that coins and keys don’t really have a place here, this is very much a minimalist wallet.

The Ekster Key Case, designed to keep your keys neat, tidy and quiet. It has the same slick design as the wallet, it is lightweight and feels premium without being flashy. The mechanism is super satisfying, it flips out your keys like a pocketknife. No more jingling or bulky keychains poking your leg. It fits up to 2-8 keys, and the optional loop for a car key or larger keys is a nice touch. Only downside? It takes a bit of fiddling to set up initially. But once it’s done, it’s smooth sailing.

If you like every day carry gear that’s functional and stylish, this bundle is a solid pick. It offers an awesome blend of style, function, and convenience. It feels futuristic without being gimmicky. A Great choice for those who want to streamline your carry and look good doing it.

TeNTsIle uNA Tree TeNT

We are always excited to see different ways of enjoying the night in the great outdoors, especially if it means getting off the lumpy ground and keeping the bugs away. The Tentsile Una Tree Tent is a one-person, lightweight tree tent designed for minimalists, adventurers, and anyone who wants to escape the usual tent-on-the-ground setup.

The Una comes with quite a lot of different bits that can be off putting for those used to simple set up and pop-up tents. To start with you will need to find three well-spaced trees. You’ll need to attach the three ratchet straps at equal tension and heights to keep it stable. It can be fiddly and a bit of a learning curve at first, but once you get the hang of it, it takes around 10-15 minutes to get everything tight and level. The built-in insect mesh and removable rainfly are nice touches, giving you protection without feeling too enclosed. The rainfly can be pegged into the ground giving you a larger dry living space. There are handy mesh pockets on each side and a fold-away door for when the weather is good, and the bugs are sparse.

As the sleeping surface is held tight and with the addition of the sleeping pad it provides a comfortable space for both bag and side sleeps, however it might be a bit too soft for tummy sleepers. It also provides a good amount of width for turning over, but some might not like how confined it is above the body, especially if you compared it to a regular tent. Weighing around 6 lbs (2.7 kg), it’s not ultralight, but it’s still reasonable for backpacking. The materials feel sturdy, and it can support up to 265 lbs (120 kg) and up to 6’ 2” in height so it’s not flimsy. However, finding trees can be tricky in some areas, limiting where you can set up. The good news is those trees don’t need to be in a perfect equilateral triangle to work (any acute triangle can be used by altering the lengths of straps) and Tentsile do have an App to help you figure out particularly tricky tree configurations.

The Una is a fun, unique way to camp, especially if you love the idea of sleeping above ground. It’s great for summer adventures, keeps you away from bugs, and feels like a floating nest in the woods. That said, it’s not for everyone especially those who want instant setup or prefer a firm, roomier sleeping environment. Would I recommend it? If you love hammocks, solo camping and something a little bit different, yes!

The Snowsky ECHO MINI-player off is so dinky, like, fits-in-the-stupidly-small-pocket-of-your-jeans tiny. Perfect for running, commuting, or just clipping onto your bag or belt while doing chores. It’s so light (55g), you’ll forget you’re wearing it. The clip is surprisingly sturdy too, which I didn’t expect from such a budget-friendly device. It has a classic tape cassette design to appeal to the retro lovers.

In terms of sound quality, it won’t blow your audiophile socks off, but it’s genuinely impressive for the price. The bass has some punch, and the mids and highs come through cleanly, more than enough for casual listening. I used it with a couple different earbuds and was happy with the results each time.

One of the best things is how simple it is to use. It’s basically plug-and-play.. No app, no Wi-Fi, no subscriptions, just music. There’s something really refreshing about that. Battery life is solid too, I’ve gotten around 14 hours on a single charge, which is more than enough for a few workouts or a day out. There are a few ways to listen to your tunes, there’s 8GB in built memory with the option of using a microSD up to 256GB. It also supports Bluetooth 5.3 so you can connect your wireless headphones.

The screen is super minimal, don’t expect album art or any fancy visuals, but I kind of liked the nostalgic vibe. It has two wired headphone ports, a 3.5mm and 4.4mm. Overall, the Snowsky ECHO MINI-player is a fun, no-frills throwback that does exactly what it promises. If you're looking for a cheap, portable music player for active use or just want a break from your phone, it's a great pick. Just keep your expectations in check, and you’ll probably be pleasantly surprised.

Fiio SnowSky wind HeadpHoneS

What better way to pair your Snowsky ECHO MINI-player then

with an equally retro looking pair of headphones. These are insanely low cost, its almost worth getting them just as a fashion accessory. These on-ear headphones have a super retro design, they let in a bit of ambient noise, which I actually love when I’m out walking or just don’t want to feel totally sealed off from the world. They strike a great balance between awareness and immersive listening.

Now, sound quality, even when plugged into the very basic Snowsky MINI-player, the Wind deliver impressively rich audio. The bass is tight and natural (thanks to the 14.2mm large dynamic drivers), mids are smooth, and highs are clean without being harsh. Honestly, it felt like my Snowsky leveled up just by plugging these in. They really bring warmth and clarity, even to compressed MP3s.

Design-wise, the Wind look cool, they’re super comfortable, even after an hour or two of listening, and the stainlesssteel build gives them a strength without feeling heavy. The included ear foams (pair of black, pair of yellow) help with both comfort and sound isolation, though don’t expect full noise blocking, these are open-back, after all.

That said, they aren’t for bass heads, those wanting total isolation or the audio purist. Also, they’re not ideal for noisy gym sessions or train rides unless you're okay with some sound bleed. But for walking, working, or just relaxing at home with your music? They’re stellar.

In short, the Wind are a perfect match for anyone who loves wired listening and wants to get the most out of something as simple as a Snowsky MINI-player. Enjoyable sound and retro style without breaking the bank? Yes

esCApe FITNess sTAKrbells

The first thing that caught my eye with the Escape Fitness STAKRBELLS was their unique, ultra-compact design, they almost look like they’ve been run over by a steamroller. Since I don’t have room for a full dumbbell rack, something modular and easy to store was essential. More importantly, I needed something I could tuck away from my toddler, the last thing I need is to make her stronger! A great feature is that the STAKRBELLS fit neatly into the Escape Deck 2.0 storage space without needing to disassemble them, which is a huge space and time saver. When lifting with these, they feel solid, and the contoured handle offers a comfortable grip. They work well for standard exercises like presses, curls, and rows, though the shape took a little getting used to. That said, some movements actually felt more efficient, hammer curls, for example, it was easier to keep the weight close to my body without my boobs getting in the way.

The set includes two 2kg plates and two 3kg plates, allowing you to stack them for weights ranging from 2kg to 10kg. In theory, this is great, but in practice, wrapping my hands around all four stacked together wasn’t easy, even three plates didn’t feel particularly secure. They attach via small pins, making it super easy to adjust the weight. However, I’d love to see a locking mechanism because at certain angles, they can shift, making me a bit cautious about overhead lifts. The space-saving design is the biggest win for me, I love that I can store them without cluttering my workout area. However, if you lift heavy, the weight range might be limiting, and the handle size becomes awkward at higher weights. While they won’t replace my traditional dumbbells, they’re great for dynamic movements and lighter sets. If they had a more secure locking system, they’d be a near-perfect solution for compact strength training.

suuNTO AquA

Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise, engaging muscles you didn’t even know you had! Any workout involving water tends to provide a full-body challenge, making it even more rewarding. It used to be that water and tech didn’t mix, but thankfully, we now have gadgets designed for aquaphiles. The Suunto Aqua is one such device, bone conduction headphones that let you enjoy music, podcasts, and audiobooks without blocking your ears.

The Suunto Aqua is lightweight and comfortable. The fit is secure but not too tight, making them ideal for swimming, running, or cycling. You don’t have to worry about them slipping off mid-stroke or during a workout. Bone conduction works by sending sound vibrations through your cheekbones, allowing you to hear music without blocking external sounds. However, there’s one tech limitation we still can’t fully overcome Bluetooth doesn’t work underwater. The Suunto Aqua has an IPX8 rating (waterproof up to 5 meters for 2 hours), but once submerged, Bluetooth connectivity cuts off.

Suunto solves this with 32GB of offline audio storage, meaning you can preload your favourite tracks and listen underwater. Keep in mind, you’ll need actual music files (MP3, WAV, etc.), so dust off your CDs or purchase downloads via Amazon Music. If you’re doing laps, playing music in offline mode is a must, otherwise, the constant cutting out as your head dips underwater will be frustrating. Underwater, the sound is surprisingly clear. It’s almost meditative, hearing music without plugging your ears creates a unique experience. While the sound quality won’t match high-end over-ear headphones, it performs well for its purpose. Higher frequencies come through better than deep bass, and midtones are clear and enjoyable, making it ideal for spoken content and mid-range music rather than bass-heavy tracks.

The battery lasts up to 10 hours on a full charge, with a charging case that doubles as a power bank, extending usage to 30 hours total. Suunto also integrates smart tracking features, analysing stroke posture, head pitch angle, breath frequency, and glide time via the Suunto app. Beyond swimming, the Head Movement Control feature lets you answer calls or change tracks hands-free, perfect for cycling or running. The multifunction button and volume controls take some getting used to, but they’re customisable in the app.

The Suunto Aqua is an excellent choice for water lovers who want quality audio, built-in storage, and fitness tracking, all without blocking ambient noise. It’s well-made, comfortable, and packed with useful features. Whether you’re a swimmer, triathlete, or outdoor enthusiast, these durable, open-ear headphones are a fantastic investment.

With everything these days being wireless it is easy to forget that although Bluetooth connection is super convenient it isn’t aways the best choice when it comes to sound quality. The ST2 PRO Nebula from HIDIZS are some budget friendly IEMs that use a dual-magnetic circuit dynamic driver and offer tuning filters that allow for some level of customisation. The outer casings feature a semi-transparent resin shell that looks pretty cool, reminiscent of the 90s when everything technical was see through for some unknow reason. They have an ergonomic shape and come with three sizes of silicone ear tips to find a comfortable fit. The metal nozzle and interchangeable tuning filters add a touch of premium feel, letting users adjust the sound profile to their liking. The stock cable is decent, though an upgrade might enhance performance further. Thanks to their lightweight build, these IEMs are comfortable for long listening sessions. Noise isolation is decent but depends on ear tip selection, there is not active noise cancellation. You don’t have to worry about battery life though thanks to the wired USB-C connection.

With a 10mm dynamic driver, the ST2 PRO Nebula delivers a well-balanced sound that aims to have more of a boost around the bass and treble. We found the bass was good and punchy, but some (not us) may find it slightly overpowering. The mids were slightly recessed but still clear however we found the treble was a little sharp at times so purist might be struggle here. The volume is good and can be cranked up to an ill advised 108dB. The inbuilt DAC is a lovely addition at this price point, helping you enjoy the music as it was creating by converting the audio from digital to analogue sound waves.

For the price, the HIDIZS ST2 PRO Nebula is a solid choice for budget-conscious audiophiles. The tuning filters, stylish design, and engaging sound make it a competitive option in its range. While the bass and treble emphasis may not suit everyone, those looking for an energetic and detailed IEM will find a lot to like.

Our lawn is a bit of a Monet, from a distance it looks perfect but when close it’s a patchy mess of moss and weeds. With spring officially arriving we had been wondering how to tackle our lawn and then as if sent by the spring gods themselves a Scarifier landed in the office, perfect timing! The Stiga SV 415 E is an electric scarifier and aerator combo, designed for small to medium-sized gardens, to help improve lawn health without the hassle of petrol engines or manual raking. Assembly is minimal, just attach the handles, and you’re good to go. The 15-inch (38cm) working width is decent for home use, covering a good amount of ground without being too bulky to manoeuvre. The collection box, at 50 litres, is handy, but if your lawn has a lot of moss and thatch, you’ll likely need to empty it frequently, this is where we rope in in 4-year-old to collect it in a bucket and put it in the compost. With a 1500W motor, the SV 415 E has plenty of power to pull up dead grass, moss, and debris. You get two interchangeable rollers, one with 20 blades for scarifying (removing thatch and moss) and another with 40 spring tines for aerating (improving airflow to the roots). Swapping them out is easy, making it a versatile tool for seasonal lawn care. It has four working depths, ranging from -13mm to +4.5mm, allowing you to adjust how aggressively it cuts into the turf. A lighter setting is great for regular maintenance, while deeper settings are perfect for tackling thick moss buildup. The rolling blades or tines help with the forward momentum making it easy to push the Stiga about. It is worth noting you will need to get the power cable separately unless you already have another product in the Stiga electric handheld range.

For lawn lovers looking for an affordable, easy-to-use scarifier and aerator, the Stiga SV 415 E is a great choice. It’s lightweight, powerful enough for most lawn maintenance tasks, and far easier than manually raking out moss. If you want a healthier, lusher lawn with minimal effort, this machine is well worth considering.

Hue ANImATION sTudIO

Many children grow up with animation at the centre of their visual entertainment, for me it was Wallace and Gromit, the Clangers and does anyone else remember Trapdoor? For my little ones its Bluey, Peppa Pig (much to my displeasure) and rather wonderfully, the Clangers also! The Hue Animation Studio aims for nurture the creative minds who fancy trying their hand at stop-motion animation and timelapse photography. This mini studio is an all-in-one kit that makes the process accessible to all whether you're a total beginner, a kid (recommended 7+), or even an adult looking for a creative new hobby.

The kit includes a flexible USB camera with integrated microphones, a green screen, a 64-page full-colour book of animation, a mini stage with background, printable activities and sound effects, software plus a durable shockproof case. The camera has a bendable neck, so you can get all sorts of cool angles without needing a tripod. It connects directly to your computer via USB, so you can see your shots in real-time. The image quality is decent for the price— not Hollywood-level, but more than good enough for stop-motion projects.

Setting everything up is straightforward. The software walks you through the basics, and within minutes, you're capturing your first frames. The onion-skinning feature (which lets you see a ghost image of the last frame) is super helpful for smooth animations. You can also add sound, text, and special effects, which takes your projects to the next level. We liked that the Hue Animation Studio encourages creativity without being intimidating, you don’t have to be an artist either, simply use LEGO figures, clay models, or stick some googly eyes on the things you find in the kitchen draw and bring them to life.

That said, there are a few minor downsides. The software, while easy to use, isn’t as advanced as professional animation programs. It occasionally feels a bit dated, and editing options are somewhat limited. Also, it only works on Windows and macOS—Chromebook users are out of luck. Overall, Hue Animation Studio is a fantastic, fun, and affordable way to dive into stop-motion animation, however if it becomes a real passion you may want to upgrade the software.

Being a 90s kid Scalextric was a big part of my childhood, If I think about it, I can still hear that satisfying sound they make as the whip around the track. The Scalextric Super Sierras Retro Race Set is like a blast from the past for classic Touring Car racing. This set throws you straight back into the golden era of the Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth, a true motorsport legend. Whether you remember these beasts tearing up the track or appreciate retro racing, this set delivers an exciting, high-speed experience that feels both vintage and modern at the same time.

The two Ford Sierra RS500 models are beautifully recreated, with authentic details and precise bodywork so they are just like a miniaturised 1:32 scale version of the real thing, they even have working lights. These aren't just any toy cars; they’re proper collector’s pieces that happen to also be incredibly fun to race. Setting up the track is straightforward, though it does require some space, something I remember my dad complaining about when I was little. The layout includes a mix of 45º and 90º curves, long straights, and even a crossover section, for some extra excitement. Once everything is in place, the race can begin. The Sierras handle well, and thanks to Scalextric’s magnatraction system, they stick to the track just enough to allow for some controlled speedy yet controlled driving. The real fun comes when racing with someone else, it is just as competitive as I remember my old set being but with less physical violence between me and my sister. The speed control on the handsets means you can’t just floor it and hope for the best (my favourite technique back in the day), you’ll need some precision, throttle control, and maybe a little bit of luck to stay ahead AND on the track. Whether you're a lifelong Touring Car fan, a Scalextric enthusiast, or just someone looking for a fun, nostalgic racing set, the Super Sierras Retro Race Set is an absolute blast. It’s a perfect mix of classic motorsport vibes, thrilling gameplay, and beautifully designed cars, making it a must-have for anyone who loves a bit of high-speed action.

mAmmuT duCAN GuIde Hs HOOded JACKeT

As beautiful as the weather is right now, you can never guarantee a rain shower isn’t just around the corner when you are enjoying a great outdoors. A decent rain shell is an absolute must if you are a keen hiker and Mammut already has a solid reputation for outdoor apparel so what better place to look. The Ducan Guide HS Hooded Jacket comes in four colours, Black, Glacier Blue, Silver Sage and Alvatern. The first notable thing is how premium the fabric feels. Saying that it doesn’t feel flimsy, it has been cut with a technical fit, meaning it’s athletic and streamlined without feeling too restrictive. If you’re planning to layer up underneath, you might want to size up, as it’s a bit snug. The sleeves are well-articulated for movement and has a hook and loop fastener, which is a big plus for climbing or scrambling.

This jacket uses 3-layer Mammut DRY Tour laminate, which gives you high-end waterproofing (comparable to Gore-Tex) while still being breathable. The hood features a 1-point exterior drawstring for quick and easy fastening, whilst the water-resistant YKK Aquaguard front zipper seals the jacket up tightly. In heavy rain and snow, it holds up extremely well, no leaks, no damp spots. If things do get a bit toasty there are the pit zips that allow you to dump heat quickly. The jacket feels rugged enough to handle rough conditions. The reinforced shoulders and sleeves help if you're carrying a heavy pack or brushing against rocks. I like the thought that has gone into the shoulder seams, just moving them to the sides to stop backpack straps digging in and coursing irritation. There are two well placed front pockets with water repellent zips that allow for easy access of your essential gear, even with gloved hands.

At around 500g, it’s not the lightest shell out there, but it makes up for it with great weather protection and durability. It’s a great pick for serious hikers and climbers, though for ultralight backpackers, it might feel a bit overbuilt. Obviously you don’t have to be up a mountain to appreciate the jacket, you will find yourself grabbing it for the dog walk or school run too. If you need a shell that can handle rough conditions, the Mammut Ducan Guide HS won’t disappoint.

I’ve always had a pretty strong stomach—hardly anything made me feel queasy. That was until I got pregnant. Morning sickness (which, let’s be honest, isn’t just in the morning) hit me like a truck. Every smell, every movement, and even the sight of food could make me feel like I was seconds away from vomiting. Imagine the worst hangover you’ve ever had, but it lasts for months—that was my pregnancy. If I had known about the Reliefband Sport back then, I would have definitely given it a shot.

First off, I won’t ignore the obvious: this band is pricey. But the good news? It comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee, so if it doesn’t work for you, you can return it. That alone makes it worth a try.

Reliefband claims to help with pregnancy-related nausea (though always check with your doctor first), motion sickness, seasickness, anxiety-related nausea, migraines, post-surgery sickness, chemotherapy-induced nausea, and even gaming-related nausea. That’s a broad range of conditions, so I was curious to see how well it performed.

The Reliefband Sport looks like a fitness tracker, which is great because it doesn’t scream “medical device.” It’s lightweight, adjustable, and water-resistant, meaning you don’t have to take it off for everyday activities like washing dishes, showering, or even swimming.

Using it is simple—just apply a small amount of gel (included in the box) to your wrist, place the band on top, and adjust the intensity. It has six levels, and when activated, you’ll feel a slight tingling on your wrist—kind of like the beginning of pins and needles. It’s not uncomfortable, and after a while, I barely noticed it.

The Reliefband uses neuromodulation technology, sending signals through the nervous system to reduce nausea. It’s clinically proven, FDA-cleared, and drug-free, which will appeal to a lot of people.. The 30-hour battery life is another plus, making it perfect for travel, long boat trips, or even amusement parks.

While nausea treatments aren’t one-size-fits-all, I truly believe this could help a lot of people. If you’re looking for a non-medicated way to manage nausea, the Reliefband Sport is absolutely worth trying. It may not be a miracle cure, but it’s a game-changer for anyone battling nausea and sickness.

With the sunshine finally making an appearance, it’s getting harder to ignore those cleaning tasks we’ve been putting off all winter. Fortunately, the Kärcher K 7 Premium Smart Control Flex is here to make outdoor cleaning much easier. As one of Kärcher’s most powerful pressure washers, it’s designed for heavy-duty cleaning, tackling patios, driveways, vehicles, and more with ease.

The K 7 Premium Smart Control Flex boasts a robust and well-designed build. It features a reinforced water-cooled motor, which enhances durability and longevity, preventing overheating even during prolonged use. The 10m highpressure hose provides excellent reach, and the hose reel ensures easy storage, preventing tangling. Though it’s a large and heavy unit (17.9 kg), the wheels and telescopic handle make it relatively easy to maneuver, allowing for effortless movement around your outdoor spaces.

With a maximum pressure of 180 bar and a flow rate of 600 l/h, this pressure washer is built for tackling stubborn dirt and grime. The Smart Control feature, accessible via the Kärcher app, lets you adjust settings and receive cleaning recommendations. Bluetooth connectivity allows you to sync the washer with your smartphone, providing real-time pressure adjustments for different surfaces. While some users may find this feature unnecessary and prefer a more straightforward experience, it’s not essential to use the device—it simply adds convenience.

The 3-in-1 Multi Jet spray lance eliminates the need to switch nozzles manually. You can adjust between a flat jet, dirt blaster, and detergent mode effortlessly, making it ideal for both delicate and heavy-duty cleaning tasks. The Plug ’n’ Clean detergent system allows quick and mess-free detergent application, simplifying the process.

Despite its powerful performance, the K 7 Premium Smart Control Flex is user-friendly. The hose reel, wheels, and telescopic handle enhance usability, and the Smart Control system ensures the right settings for any job. However, at 3000W power consumption, it is energy-intensive, and its size and weight might be a drawback for some users.

The Kärcher K 7 Premium Smart Control Flex is an exceptional choice for those needing high power, smart technology, and ease of use. While casual users may find one of Kärcher’s more affordable models sufficient, those with regular demanding cleaning tasks will appreciate its performance and advanced features.

When I was a kid, I was desperate to get skateboard, unfortunately I was given a board the size of a surfboard that I was too little and scared to try and ride properly, in the end I would just sit on it and roll down the hill. So, when the Ookkie came rolling in the office I was half excited and half envious it didn’t exist when I was little.

The Ookkie Skateboard, is a clever little hybrid that moves from a push-along walker to a full skateboard and a push-along walker. It’s designed specifically for kids as young as 12 months, giving them a fun (and safe) introduction to skating boarding. The Ookkie isn’t your standard skateboard, it’s got a sturdy, wide deck (18cm), a removable handlebar, and a rear handle for parents to push or guide their little skater. The handlebar is height-adjustable (4160cm), which is great because it grows with your child. The wheels are large and smooth, offering a stable ride, and the deck itself has a grippy, non-slip surface.

This thing is super beginner friendly. The front handlebar gives kids something to hold onto while they figure out their balance and movement, which removes that initial fear factor. If they’re not quite ready to push themselves along, parents can steer from the back handle, which makes it feel like a stroller/skateboard hybrid. Once the kid gains confidence, you can remove the handlebar, letting them transition to a more traditional skating experience. It’s clear that safety was a priority in the design. The board feels solid, the handles don’t wobble, and the wide wheelbase helps prevent tipping. It’s not something that’s going to break after a few rough sessions, which is important because we know kids aren’t gentle with their toys and it will probably be left outside in all weathers. If you’re looking for a way to introduce a young child to skateboarding without throwing them in the deep end, the Ookkie Skateboard is an awesome choice. It’s fun, safe, and adaptable as your kid grows more confident. Plus, it lets parents be involved without just standing on the sidelines. It’s not exactly cheap, but considering how long it lasts and how much it helps build balance and coordination, for the right kid it is well worth it.

Kids and building blocks go together like SpongeBob and Patrick (sorry we have been watching A LOT of it recently), so if you’re looking for a fun, creative, and open-ended building toy, that steps away from the well-known brands this could be an option. This kit with 1,000 pieces, provides plenty of opportunities for kids (and even adults!) to build anything from simple shapes to intricate 3D models.

Inside, you get 1,000 Plus-Plus pieces in a wide range of vibrant colours, along with an idea guide to help spark inspiration. The pieces are all the same simple shape, they look like two plus signs fused together, which means they interlock easily in multiple ways. This allows for both flat mosaic-style designs and complex 3D creations, and the end results look a bit like pixel art, perhaps appealing to the Minecraft crowd.

One thing we liked is the simplicity, there are no complicated instructions, just connect the pieces however you like, it gives the imagination a chance to blossom. The included guide is useful for beginners, but the real fun comes from free play and imagination. Kids can build anything from animals and vehicles to abstract structures, making it a great STEAM toy that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor skills.

The pieces are made from high-quality plastic that’s sturdy but flexible enough to snap together easily. They hold their shape well and don’t break apart too easily, which is great for more intricate builds. This set is ideal for kids aged 5 and up, but even older children (and adults) can enjoy it. It’s a great alternative to traditional building blocks, offering endless creative possibilities without taking up too much space. It isn’t the cheapest kit and, but it is unlikely something the kids already have at home, making it a good choice for gifts. It’s versatile, engaging, and durable, perfect for kids who love to build and explore their imagination. If you’re looking for a fun and educational building toy, this set is worth considering!

If you've ever fumbled with a water bottle mid-ride or struggled to get it back into a standard cage, this Muc-Off x Fidlock Twist Bottle setup might just be your new best friend. I can remember actually falling off my bike when I was younger by failing to get the bottle back in place, plus I can still remember how it made everything taste like an inflatable bed.

The Muc-Off bottles come in two colours black and a vibrant pink which is Muc-Offs trademark branding, it also comes in the option of either 450ml or 590ml. We got the bold pink version which we love, it makes it pop and easy to locate in your peripheral. The bottle itself is 590ml, which is a decent size, not huge, but enough for shorter to midlength rides. It’s got a solid feel without being too bulky, it features a leak-proof, self-sealing cap to ensure there are no dribbles, no spills, just water in your mouth. The High-Flow water valve delivers serious thirst-quenching on the move. It is also Muc-Off secure tag holder compatible so you can add your tracker and never lose sight of your gear.

The real magic here however is the Fidlock system. Instead of the usual bottle cage, you get a magnetic-mechanical mount that clicks the bottle securely into place. It’s surprisingly strong, no rattling, no bouncing off even on rough trails, plus it’s ridiculously easy to use. Just twist to release, and the magnets guide it back into position when you bring it close, you don’t even have to take your eyes off the road for a second. Installation is simple, you attach the Fidlock base to your frame using the existing bottle cage mounts. It sits close to the frame, which is great if you’ve got limited space in your triangle. That said, it does mean you’re committed to the system, so if you ever lose the bottle, you’ll need another Fidlock-compatible one.

This bottle and fixture combo is a match made in heaven, it is so user-friendly, ultra secure, looks great, and eliminates the hassle of traditional bottle cages. Highly recommended for anyone who rides regularly and wants a smoother hydration experience. s eC ure , sT yl IsH, AN d eA sy TO use , TH e muC-OFF X FI dlOCK Tw IsT b OTTle Is A sm A rT upG r A de FOr yOur H ydr ATION ON TH e rOA d.
