Who Would Have Thought
the position as the first directoress of the hospital’s first Nursing School to train registered nurses.
In order to attract my wife I was also guaranteed a position in Kiryat Sanz so we made Aliyah the following July with our five children.

The position I was offered was to work with the Institutions in Sanz, in particular with their Home for Problem Children.
Frankly, that job was a difficult one as my personality was not that of a Chasid and I looked for a way to get job satisfaction and still be affiliated with Sanz as it was very convenient for me and I was able to be near my family all the time to help with their absorption.
I looked around Kiryat Sanz and saw an abandoned building with three walls up but which hadn’t been worked on for years.
I was told that the Rebbe of Sanz ל”צז had hoped to build, what at that time was called A Chronic Disease Facility, but at that time with no success as he had many other priorities such as the hospital and his yeshivot.
I took it upon myself to assume the task of building this Chronic Disease Facility – it was not easy since I knew no one in Netanya and had no connections. However the Al-mighty was with me and I was blessed to find friends who would help me with this task.
I was primarily successful in building the Home and it was later transferred under the auspices of Laniado Hospital and that’s how I came to work there. My first dream had come to fruition. A

After a very strange year There is so much to say As we have had a lot to fear
Last March we had our first lockdown And everyone stayed in We did as we were told to do And if we went out far, we knew it was a sin
For Pesach we were still inside But we managed without our family as rules were still in place Please stay inside were the rules back then Please please stay in your own space
Not for too long more we thought But little did we know The virus didn’t go anywhere But then we didn’t have anywhere to go
By July things began to open But our family from afar we could not see Travel by air was abandoned And even was abandoned by sea
By Rosh Hashana things were really no better And another lockdown was in store And people were getting so upset And cried we really can’t take much more
Even though the lockdown is still here We can see light at the very end Because the Vaccine is being given out so fast The whole world will quickly mend
It may take another month or two For us to be free once more And then we can get back to normal And at least be able to knock on our friends’ door
For travel the skies will open soon And we will see our kids once more It will make it more amazing When they can come knocking on our door. A
