On its 9th year, the SEd SINLAG Party takes its rest in the upcoming HAUlalan 2021. For the past years since the School of Education separated from the School of Arts and Sciences, the main competing parties for SEd student council were the Student empowerment enhancing students’ Initiatives through New programs and activities guided by Legislative actions of Accountable leaders toward Good governance (SINLAG), and Kanlungan at Yaman ng Bawat Estudyante (KAYABE). The SINLAG party did not run for the council for the Academic Year 2021 – 2022. According to Francis Jason Miranda, the President of ISINLAG Party, they actually planned for SINLAG since February, starting from the officers, following the initial candidates.

“Sa first stage nahirapan na kami dahil sa kakulangan ng man-power katulad ng mac team, sponsors, at iba pang kasama lalo sa SAS department,” said Miranda. The SINLAG Party was greatly challenged in finding potential candidates for the office especially when most of the students are focused with their academic and work-related matters. In their recruitment stage, Miranda admitted that the KAYABE-SEd preceded in enlisting the potential candidates they also wanted SINLAG Party to have.

Gaya ng sa aming pag-uusap ay… after all, it is all for SEd.” Finally, he also said that they are certain that this doesn’t signify the end for the SINLAG family; he reassured that they will be back ready for SEd and SAS for the coming years. SAS SINLAG also reported to be in hiatus as well. Aside from Kayabe Coalition, Tindig, a newly formed party, served as its contender on the elections.
