“Mapanuri ngayon ang mga millenials, ang kabataan. They have access to tremendous amounts of information, enough for them to make their own analysis,” said Imee Marcos.

Let’s examine, then. Shall we?

Graduation. A meaningful event shared with your loved ones. Here’s where your hard work for so many years will be finally paid off, but will you still call it a “graduation” if it is staged?

Marcos insisted that she graduated college in Princeton and Law in University of the Philippines despite the fact that both universities denied these claims. Will you still be surprised if her high school documents are doctored? It was said that she was the class valedictorian at Santa Catalina School in California. However, according to the school head himself, one day, Marcos stopped attending her classes. In that case, she didn’t graduate- what more a selfproclaimed valedictorian? Well, I won’t be surprised if her kindergarten days are also a scam.

I got one question for her. How can you keep all these lies and still sleep well at night?

With this issue, a lot of statements have popped out. Some are trying to defend her and some are against her.

It is said that the ‘graduation’ took place around April 1983. But according to the official 1983 yearbook of UP College of Law, Marcos’ name didn’t appear. Contrary to this, her name appeared multiple times in the publication marking of the 25th anniversary of her college graduating class.

Honors were given to the outstanding students, but how can they give ‘honor’ if the program is bogus? It is hard to say that everything that happened was fake because something really happened at the Meralco Theater last April 1983. We just don’t know if it’s to be proud of or to be ashamed of.

As observant millennials that we are, according to Marcos, what do you believe so far? Are all of these make-believe or did they just hire actors to play the show or perhaps forced by the former president out of fear?

Raissa Robles wrote an article about Marcos enrolling to UP College of Law, but didn’t graduate. Late Prof. Jose F. Espinosa, father of Robles, was the former UP Law evening dean, Marcos’ professor and tutor before.

According to her, Marcos didn’t finish her requirements so they made a ceremony for her and her family.

“I remember that she was heavy with a child when she and I had tutorial lessons inside my father’s office in the UP College of Law,” she said.

She stated that Marcos would come in wearing a long peasant dress alongside her bodyguards that stayed quietly outside the room. After a few tutorials, Marcos disappeared. The next thing we know, there’s a huge box of chocolate-covered Macadamia Nuts straight from Hawaii.

Is it just me? Or isn’t this bribery? Chocolates over missed tutorial sessions and classes?

Wait, is that even possible?

According to the birth certificate of her first son, Fernando Martin “Borgy” Manotoc, he was born on April 9, 1983 in Hawaii. So how can she attend her so called “graduation” at the Meralco Theater, Ortigas Center, Pasig City while in labor or in maternal rest? How did she even return right after her pregnancy?

What’s more shocking is that we let this woman, full of hypocrisy, run for the Senate despite her unsolved issues; even worse, we let this conniving snake win. If this 'graduation’ issue is true, what more can she falsify to let the odds be in her favor? What else can she lie about if more than half of her life is already a huge one?

Meanwhile, based on another article, Marcos and his wife Imelda came on a black limousine together with their son, Bongbong. They sat at the front row listening to the guest speaker, former Supreme Court Associate Justice, Hermogenes Concepcion Jr., who gave a speech about constitutionality of executive warrants of arrest. The Marcoses took some exceptionally staged photos and mentioned that the college dean was present,

We already know the Marcos as one being a dictator and the restthieves who are full of themselves living with their never-ending lies. The Marcoses already made an enormous mark in our history. A stain that cannot be removed and should not be tampered by another regime. Folks, we don’t need another snake. We don’t need another Marcos. Stop.

This application is what I dub as one of the best friends that a student should have. This application features several games that will test your vocabulary, gives example sentences, has an accessible audio pronunciation, and provides quick definitions which allows the user to understand the searched word. Take note that it is a sin for a student to not have a Merriam-Webster Dictionary on his/ her phone, especially if you are an English major student.

With her very Filipina tiangge hauls, look book outfits, school vlogs, and funny skits, Pamela was able to gain 1.7 million subscribers on her main channel and 323,000 subscribers on her gaming channel.

In fact, during her college years, she graduated as the batch Cum Laude in Advertising Arts at the University of Sto. Tomas. sa sa mga pinakakinasasabikang parte ng pagiging Eduk student ay ang practice teaching. Walang sinumang teacher education student ang makagagradweyt nang hindi ito pinagdadaanan. Sa panahong ito kasi nahahati ang katauhan natinmagiging kalahating estudyante at kalahating guro. Tunay nga, isa ito sa mga pinakamahalagang kabanata ng ating buhay eduk.

Dahil sa pagbabago ng kurikulum (na dulot ng implementasyon ng K to12), inaasahan na sa taong 2022 pa ang susunod na pag-arangkada ng mga susunod na Practice Teachers. Three days later, I was having the time of my life. I met the most wonderful students whom people stereotyped as students who didn't possess the moral norms we thought we had, when I realized, they're never different from us.

My Practice Teaching days were beyond what I expected. It's so hard to expect things to go certain and end up being a different path. That's my story.

I prepared a lot because I knew I would be deployed at a Catholic school.

I was actually in an outreach activity I was spearheading when I got the news of having to be deployed in an international school. It wasn't a big shock to me because facing an international audience or being with them is not something new to me. I write in an international platform online. I meet wonderful people all across the globe in my other lines of work. I also had family all across the globe so basically, the environment wasn't new to me, thankfully.

For a second, I was sad. I knew I wanted to teach with doctrines and spread the message of God in a way I was very confident and comfortable, when I felt God whispering in my heart that, "There are also other students who need you. They need to see the goodness that they have, and the worth they all possess." Then I wanted to cry at a certain Sitio with our kapatid na Aetas. It was always my philosophy to go wherever people needed me. That was God's

We always had our moments we weren't proud of. But I made sure throughout my practice teaching days, these kids knew they are worthy of something and someone, that they can be better, and that they are the best versions of themselves.

I really do take a lot of importance for the essential and holistic part of their learning because when you let them feel how good they are, and how brilliant, talented, and worthy their outlook, like in their studies change or improve for the better. I made sure; I was always there in every school event, supporting them, mentoring. I was blessed that the school gave me a chance to be a part of their School Week activity as an organizer, committee, and a lot more.

Despite the 8 preps I had to do daily (Lesson plans, IM's and all), the respect, value, and learning they get and practice matters most. It makes my day. The trust I was earning in a way they couldn't even see I was actually asking; they gave me all that and more. I became their mom, their best friend, and I felt as if I was making Him up there the proudest He could ever be of me. To cap it all off, it was the best semester of my life.

Malay ba natin, kaya lang sila umaakto nang gano’n ay dahil may problema sila sa pamilya na hindi nila kayang mapagdaanang mag-isa. Sila ay naghahanap lamang ng pagmamahal at kalinga. Kung kaya't bilang guro, tungkulin nating iparamdam yaong pakiramdam na iyon na hinahanaphanap nila.

EUNHER PATIO, BSED SOCIAL STUDIES

Ang kwento ng aking practice teaching ay kwento ng sama-sama naming pagsusumikap ng aking cooperating teacher, mga estudyante, at ako. Hindi madali ang practice teaching para sa akin lalo na’t napakarami kong mga commitments na kailangan ding pagtuunan ng pansin. Madalas akong nagpapaalam sa cooperating teacher ko na hindi ako makakadalo ng mga classroom sessions. Kadalasan kasi, wala akong tulog. Dumating pa sa punto na dalawang araw akong walang tulog dahil sa practice teaching – gumagawa ng lesson plans, paper works at iba pa.

Ang kwento ng aking practice teaching ay kwento rin ng trial and error. Madalas akong sumubok ng mga iba't ibang approach sa pagtuturo, tinitingnan kung anong paraan ng pagkatuto ang aakma sa learning styles ng aking mga estudyante.

Sa practice teaching, dadaan ka sa mga masasalimuot na karanasan na magbibigay sa iyo ng mga gintong aral na panghahawakan mo habang buhay. Sa kalagitnaan, napapasuko na rin ako, nagtatanong kung kakayanin ko pa bang tapusin ang landas na sa una naman talaga ay ‘di ko rin ginusto. Bukod kasi sa awkward din ako sa human interaction o pakikipagkapwa-tao, hindi rin talaga ako sanay at komportable sa wikang Ingles.

Ang kwento ng aking practice teaching ay pagtuklas din sa hirap at sayang mayroon sa field. Nariyan ang mga kwento ng delayed na sweldo, walang katapusang loans, sandamakmak na paperworks, at marami pa. Ang aking practice teaching ay isang pahapyaw sa mundo ng pagtuturo, kung saan nakaembudo ang magkahalong saya at lungkot. Ngunit, alam naman natin para kanino. Para kanino? Para sa mga estudyante, para sa bayan.

JAYPEE CABRAL, BSED ENGLISH Before my deployment to my cooperating school, I already visualized: how will my life be when I start my practice teaching? Using my imagination, I saw tons of paper works, having sleepless nights, bombarded with lots of responsibilities in my cooperating school and to my students, I thought it was my nightmare. However, all of those changed after I was deployed.

When I met my Grade 10 students and handled five sections, I realized that they were the reason why I need to pursue and finish this course. Yes, it was a big task for me on how will I teach my lessons to them, but with their cooperation it became quite easy for me to deliver it.

Aside from being a practice teacher, I was also a student leader.

Honestly, it was really hard to think on how will I be able to accomplish my tasks as a teacher to my students and as a student leader to my SEd community.

There was a time that I used to be a teacher between 5:30 in the morning up to 12:30 in the afternoon, and then I needed to rush at HAU to do my responsibility as a councillor for the

University Days competition.

Imagine, I woke up every day at 4:30AM then go home at 11PM? It feels like I'm putting myself into trouble, but nothing didn’t stop me from doing those.

Whenever I reach our home after practice, instead of going to bed and take my rest, that will be the time that I need to continue my lesson plan and start working with my medium of instructions.

That used to be my routine for almost 2 weeks, but I made sure that I balanced my time and gave the quality education that my students deserve.

From what I experienced on my practice teaching, I proved one aspect of being an effective teacher and that is to be flexible with all things. We need to accept the challenges that will help us to be the best version of ourselves. From those, we will learn things and be able to share those to our future students to enlighten their minds and to serve as their motivation.

Most importantly, we need to ask for guidance and strength from our Almighty God. And always remember…

THE REFLECTION VOLUME IV ISSUE 1 After 220 hours of my internship as student teacher at Francisco G. Nepomuceno Memorial High School, my journey would be described in many words that came to mind but there are three words that I never forget— lifechanging, challenging and amazing.

I am blessed because of the meaningful learning experiences that I will never forget in my life. I never knew my capacity when it comes to understanding people, how to become patient in solving conflicts, and giving guidance to those students in need. It tested me to become an effective student teacher.

It was really challenging to become a student teacher because I met different students with different capabilities and learning styles, but as weeks passed, I developed my physical, emotional, spiritual, moral and social self.

Honestly, I grew not only as a student teacher but also as an individual.

All those challenges taught me to be strong and brave. Yes, it was amazing when all my prayers become my reality; I am enjoying teaching students because of the love, respect, cooperation and support that inspired me to continue my profession.

Alam kong sasabihin niyong gasgas na ang kasabihang "Experience is the best teacher.", ngunit para sa akin, ito ang naging sentro at ako ang isa sa magpapatunay na totoo nga ang kasabihang ito.

Hindi maikakaila ang kaba, takot, pagkamangha at sabik na aking naramdaman noong ako mismo ang pumili ng eskwelahan kung saan ako magpapractice teaching- Westfields International School. “Parang bagong kapaligiran”, sabi ko sa sarili ko, at and midyum na gagamitin sa pagtuturo ay Ingles, bago rin. Pero sabi ko sa sarili ko, "Why not take risk?" At ‘yun na nga ang aking ginawa.

Sa una siguro ay nanibago ako pero sa kalaunan ay nasanay na rin sa pagkakaiba ng mga estudyanteng banyaga sa mga mag-aaral na Pilipino. Masarap sa pakiramdam na

maririnig mo sa mga estudyante mo, "Teacher, please stay in WIS,"; "Teacher, we want you to teach our SS forever,"; "Teacher, we learned a lot from you,"; at "Teacher, my favorite subject now is Social Studies."

Ang makitang natuto ang nga estudyante at nagustuhan nila ang asignaturang itunuturo ko ay isa sa napakasayang pangyayari at karanasan ng aking pagiging practice teacher. Alam ko na kailangan talaga ng tiyaga at determinasyon sa pagtuturo sapagkat bilang isang guro, hindi mo lang itinuturo sa isang magaaral ang isang leksyon, kung hindi ay itinuturo mo rin ang naging kahalagahan ng aralin na iyon sa mga nagdaang taon at ang magiging kahalagahan pa nito para sa pang-araw araw na buhay ng mga mag-aaral.”

The story of the Practice Teaching journey I had was the best training and experience I had in the School of Education. I will not forget how nervous I was on my first day. But as days and weeks passed, I learned how to be a real teacher. I have always admired my cooperating teachers for their natural way of teaching and talking to the students. I will never forget my first batch of students at FGNMHS, my 10 - Archimedes, Bernoulli, Descartes, Hooke, Oersted, Watt, Young, Zeleny, and SSC. My cooperating teacher always motivated me and inspired me. She always helped me to come up with new ideas that I would later conduct during my discussion. She was also the one who molded me to be a better educator. I really admire her because of her kindness and support since day one of my internship.

It was really a big journey of a teacher education student to be a practice teacher. Upon arriving at Sto. Domingo Integrated School, I was thinking if I really could be a teacher. All of us know that to be a teacher is not an easy task. It needs a lot of determination and courage to face and teach in front of students.

During my Practice teaching, I’m handling six sections, all the five sections in Grade 10 and one section from Grade 7. On our first day, I was too strict and serious while I am introducing myself in front of the class and I was shocked to find out that some of my students were the same age as mine and others are even older than me. I was faced by challenges that I need to overcome. Even if I felt worried during that time, I still managed to establish proper discipline within the class. Honestly, sometimes being strict is not really applicable. Some students might see you as a terror one. In a week, I was like that for consistency.

After a week, since I already established discipline, I became nice to them.

At one point during their examination, I was stressed because I faced the real life of being a teacher. I encountered students who are cheating with their classmates and many more but I managed this kind of situa-

tion and thought of a strategy so that they will stop on cheating… and I survived it.

The more the teacher exerts kindness; likewise, students will strive for the same goal. "Treat your students as your own children,” because as a teacher you’ll be the second parent of your students. You need to make them feel that you are also a parent to them.

At the end of the day, they

might not remember the lesson you taught to them but they will remember how you treated them. It is good to hear that kindness can melt the hardest heart. This is what I applied in my class in my later days. Students started to become close to me.

I also believe that education is not only molded inside the four corners

of the room or in the premises of the school. The teacher’s responsibility is not only limited inside the academe or inside the school but it’s also extended in the community. "A teacher does not only stand as a mere person who embodies and imparts learning inside the school but they are also an important persona, a well-respected person in the community.

A teacher is a very important person in the community: They serve not only as a literal teacher but also as a role model, a facilitator, a host, a leader, a mentor and an authoritative figure in society. They are responsible and tasked to offer assistance to everyone in the community."

After all the hardships, I was thankful that I received positive comments to my students like “Ngayon ko lang naintindihan ang Math,” and I thought: it was my greatest achievement as a practice teacher.

And I thank the Lord that I made it! When you believe in God, there is nothing impossible. I won't forget this moment because with this, I am now confident to face the field of teaching.

I have learned that success entails patience, determination and most importantly, believing in God and in yourself. Keep moving! Aim high! And always remember these words, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” -Philippians 4:13

Sa totoo lang isa akong introvert at hindi mahilig makisalamuha sa mga tao. Naiilang ako sa tuwing may kasama at hindi rin ako komportableng tumayo sa harapan. Pero lahat ng ito ay nagbago simula noong umapak ako sa silid-aralan bilang isang "practice teacher".

Ang sarap pala sa pakiramdam na marami kang kasama, ‘yung tipong makalilimutan mong "introvert" ka pala dahil nagiging komportable ka na sa kanila.

Lahat ng pagod at puyat sa pag-aaral ng leksyong ituturo at paggawa ng banghay-aralin pati mga kagamitan na aking gagamitin ay nasusuklian sa tuwing ako'y nagtuturo na. Nasasabik akong gumising kada araw dahil sa pag-apak ko sa paaralan, alam kong marami mga bata ang babati at magamamano sa akin.

Maraming personalidad ang nakasasalamuha ko sa bawat araw na lumipas. Maraming mga emosyon din ang gumuhit sa aking mukha. Sa lahat ng iyon, isang emosyon lang ang

mangingibabaw, at ito ay walang iba kun’di ang saya- kahit minsan ay nagagalit at sasabog ka na sa kaingayan nila.

Kung kaya, para sa mga magaaral na kumukuha ng "education", masusuklian lahat ng pagod at puyat ninyo sa ilang taon ninyong pag-aaral, sa mga estudyanteng matuturuan ninyo pagdating ng practice teaching.

A tiring but yet a fulfilling experience. That’s how I described my almost

three months of practice teaching to grade four pupils in Abelardo G. Tinio Elementary School.

At first, I thought that I made a wrong decision in choosing the school where I will take my practice teaching. It made me think of it because of the long travel time I spent to arrive at the school.

Every day, I spent four hours to travel back and forth. The whole thing made me feel tired.

Aside from that, every day, I have to prepare the lesson plan and instructional materials that I will use in teaching. But it is a fulfilling experience when I see that the children are excited to learn from me. It feels fulfilling that they learned and enjoyed the lesson. That whole thing made me smile even though at the back of my mind, I am really tired.

I am happy that I became a part of the improvement of the pupils who had reading difficulties. Moreover, I’m happy to share my time and knowledge with them. There are pupils who attended a reading remediation that I handled every afternoon. Before, they were having a hard time in reading but now they are able to know the phonetics, how to syllabicate and to read a selection.

I entered the classrooms of the grade four pupils with full of doubt to myself. I saw how good my cooperating teacher is and I think that’s one thing that challenged and motivated me. I told my-

self that I need to have her kind of energy, management, and to be good as her. It’s like the level of standard is high and lowering it down is not a choice, so I strived hard to do better.

Furthermore, I know that I did better because of the guidance and words of improvements that were given by my cooperating teacher. Through the run, my teaching styles improved. Thanks to her help.

I am also thankful that I had the support of my family. Their encouraging words really helped me to fight this battle. Moreover, I never had the courage without the guidance of the Lord. I never forgot to ask for His guidance and to give me strength in everything I do.

Classroom is indeed a pool of diverse learners. Through my practice teaching, I found that each of the pupils had a different path in life. I noticed that there were pupils who were given the full attention by their parents and there were those who are not. Those who are not given attention are usually the pupils that are stubborn and loud in class, or in short, the ones seeking for attention.

I learned that it is important for us to know where the attitude of our pupils come from. There were times that my heart breaks when I find out the story of their life. All I can do is to show care for them. At least, they can find comfort in school and they are able to feel that there’s someone who cares for them.

The family I had in my practice teaching really played a big role to help me in fulfilling my dream to become a teacher. They helped me to become a better teacher which I can use someday when I become a professional teacher. Children enjoyed my stay and I know that they learned a lot from me.

I had the same experience. I really enjoyed my practice teaching and I also learned a lot from them. I am hoping that someday I will meet these children again and I am hoping that they will become successful in life.

DANAH PATRICIA CALMA, BEED Ako si Olive Concepcion mula sa lahi ng mga Values Educator at nais kong ibahagi ang aking karanasan sa practice teaching.

Ang RLLMHS-Main ang eskuwelahang pinili kong turuan. Dalawa kami ng kaibigan kong napunta roon. Dahil shifting ang klase at ayaw niya mapunta sa morning sched (at dahil sanay naman akong magising nang maaga), kinuha ko na.

Ako ay naatasang magturo sa mga Grade 10, na kung saan sila ay nasa kabilang building pa at dalawang kanto pa ang layo mula sa main building. Sa totoo lang, kailangan munang sumakay ng trike upang makarating sa kanila pero noong ako ang nag-PT, nilakad ko na lang dahil nasasayangan ako sa pamasaheng pwede ko namang ilaan sa iba pang gastusin ko sa pagtuturo.

Half day lang kami pero sagad naman kung sagad ang bakbakan. Ang klase ko nagsisimula nang 6:20 am kaya dapat 6:00 am pa lang, nasa school na ako. Tuwing Monday naman, kailangang 5:45 am pa lang ay nasa school na ako dahil 6:00 am ang flag ceremony.

Noong una nahirapan ako, pero dahil motivated akong pumasok, nagawa ko. Pero ‘di ako magsisinungaling dahil

may mga araw na late ako dahil sa sobrang pagod sa klase at sa school mismo.

Noong practice teaching, very fortunate ako sa cooperating teacher ko at buong ESP (Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao) Department dahil hands-on sila sa akin sa pag-advice at pagremind kung ano ang dapat at hindi dapat gawin sa klase. Pero alam niyo kung ano ang pinaka-challenging sa experience ko? ‘Yun ay ‘yung pagtuturo ng morality. Una sa lahat, kung titignan niyo ang curriculum, very sensitive na contemporary issues ang kailangang ma-address. Ang mga pinag-usapan namin ay tungkol sa buhay, seksuwalidad, katotohanan, at paggamit ng kapangyarihan.

Ang hindi ko makakalimutan ay noong tinalakay namin ang buhay at seksuwalidad kung saan nagbigay ako ng proyekto. Doon, kailangan nilang alagaan ang isang itlog sa loob ng maraming mga araw –hindi hahayaang mabasag o masira nang iba, parang anak na inaalagaan kumbaga. Nais ko kasing ituro sa kanila na kailangan nilang maging responsable sa kanilang buhay at seksuwalidad dahil katulad ng itlog, kapag ito ay napabayaan, mababasag ito o ‘di kaya ay magkakalamat.

My ten weeks of being a practice teacher was a period of tremendous growth for me both personally, as a young mom and as an educator.

I was assigned to a public school and I handled Grade IV class consisted of forty individuals. My students possessed their unique individuality and set of circumstances which made my Practice Teaching an interesting and often challenging period.

My student teaching experience has been the best, most informational and inspiring experience in many years. Generally, I had a great time with my students, and I could not have asked for a better report with my cooperating teacher. I really felt the warm welcome and support since day one and she gave me the confidence I needed to keep progressing.

Interacting with my students was fantastic and I was surprised at how much my students taught me, from everything; to relationships to school practices.

In the beginning, I was a little timid with my students even while

presenting them information that I know back and front.

After a couple weeks, I became more comfortable in front of the class.

This experience has taught me that students are much more likely to go into your class and listen to you when you come with a positive and confident demeanor. Once I gained my confidence in the class, I had more fun with teaching and my students had more fun as well.

During my Practice Teaching, I realized that you need to prepare as much as possible. But more importantly, you must be flexible. You never know what is going to come up or what will catch the students’ attention. Moreover, when creating lessons, remember that you need to be prepared for changes.

Figure out alternative activities in order to help your day go as smoothly as possible and allow your students to gain the most from the lessons.

I have enjoyed my practice teaching experience. It has been difficult and frustrating because I am a mother of a one year old child and also a student teacher but it’s been exciting and fun.

Iba talaga ang aktwal na kung saan ay nasa field ka na, dahil kailangan mo talagang maghanda kahit gaano ka pa kagaling at katalino, dahil mga bata ang kaharap mo. Ikaw ay ang responsable sa magiging “sila”.
