OUR PRINCIPLES IN PRACTICE
2023 – 2024
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO
Our commitment to sustainability and ESG continues to evolve. In addition to our core eight priorities, we have identified cybersecurity as a critical area of focus — essential not only for maintaining business continuity, but also for protecting sensitive data and upholding customer trust.
This latest sustainability update includes our group-wide Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. 2023 marked the first year that we were able to capture comprehensive emissions data, establishing a baseline that will inform our efforts in 2024 and beyond. You’ll find this and other sustainability initiatives in this latest edition of Our Principles in Practice.
As a global leader in underground mine contracting, we recognize our role in enabling access to the critical minerals needed for the global energy transition. Our vision is to responsibly support this shift by advancing efficient, safe, and productive mine construction practices. We see this not only as essential to the long-term resilience of our business and workforce, but as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the broader infrastructure and innovations needed to support a more sustainable future for all.
SUN-POWERED HEATING: A BRIGHT INVESTMENT
In an effort to lower our greenhouse gas emissions and advance our broader sustainability goals, Redpath’s operations around the world are looking at solar power for heating our buildings. In 2024, Redpath Australia took a significant step towards reducing its carbon footprint at the company’s Brisbane office by installing 80kW of solar panels to the building. Benefiting from Brisbane’s abundant sunshine, the panels supply nearly 50% of the office’s electricity requirements. Since installation, CO2 emissions are estimated to have been cut by nearly 40 tonnes, equalling the reductions obtained when planting 2,171 trees.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH IN INDONESIA
Redpath strives to make a difference and be a positive force in the communities where we work. Our community support programs includes assistance with essential water projects, such as the initiative in the city of Timika on the southern coast of Central Papua, Indonesia. PT Redpath Indonesia (PTRI) together with Sangati Soerya Sejahtera (Sangati) completed the construction of a well in the community, bringing clean
water to a school and church complex mainly used by the Indigenous Kamoro community. This was the second community outreach initiative by Sangati and PTRI. The first project was in Iwaka in Central Papua in August 2024, when the companies provided free eye examinations and eyeglasses, and supplied malaria diagnostic tests and healthy food for pregnant women and children.
Training and certification are at the heart of Redpath’s continuous improvement efforts. Programs focus on promoting excellence in leadership, teamwork and accountability. All Redpath network users also have access to LinkedIn Learning.
