One of our favorites is the Bartram Trail just 3 mi from Franklin. We recommend the Wallace Branch to William’s Pulpit portion of this trail that extends from GA into NC. As you begin this “yellow blazed” trail you will encounter a lovely cascade of water, setting the peaceful tone of your trip. Your destination will be William’s Pulpit approx 2 miles ahead. Once you reach the final ridgeline you will see a small sign letting you know you are at your hike destination. Hang out for a while and enjoy the great views of the Nantahala Mountains.
