counselor and self-proclaimed father of thousands of children recently celebrated nearly nine decades of life, shortly after celebrating seven as a brother. On Oct. 3, Brother Joseph Barrett celebrated his 89th birthday with the members of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. But even more significant is Barrett’s long-time religious career, which began Dec. 8, 1943. I’m 89 years old and I really appreciate your support.’” Barrett has touched the lives of many, especially in his 20 years teaching at Daniel Gross Catholic High School in Omaha, NE. He recently returned to Gross Catholic to celebrate his 70th jubilee. Such is Barrett’s fun-loving personality that some of his fondest memories of his teaching career are of the pranks he played on and the jokes he told to his students. “I figured if I pulled tricks before
