THE HUNT
With The Hunt, I want to capture an impending transformation through sculptural elements and a few surrealist touches. Sometimes the edge of transformation is a feeling that cannot be anchored in words, and I seek to pour that feeling into this series of stills. This work therefore reflects the internal landscape during times of change— when instinct and vulnerability coexist and hold a quiet tension.

“WHAT WE CHOOSE TO REMEMBER BECOMES THE TRUTH WE LIVE BY”
Memory
BY ANN MAREN
Memory is not merely a reflection of the past; it is the invisible force that shapes the core of who we are. What we remember is not always what happened, but what we choose to remember becomes the truth we live by, subtly defining our sense of self. A single moment—like the scent of rain on a quiet walk—can transcend time, remaining etched in the mind as a lasting impression. These fragments, delicate and transient, become the threads that weave together our identity. In the fluidity of memory, we discover a deeper connection to our existence, ever shifting, yet intimately familiar.
I’m a visual artist from Moscow. I like transforming my dreams and my memories into films. I work a lot with analogue techniques—printing, layering, reshooting, and processing materials—to create unique textures and experiment with image. I’m always looking for new ways to approach storytelling and enjoy collaborating with others who are interested in visual experimentation. Whether it’s film, mixed media, or something in between, I love exploring how different techniques can help to convey the feeling.

As a photographer from Kazakhstan, for the last few years I’ve been observing the disasters that are happening in the country. One of the topics that relates to social cataclysm, and which worries me more and more, is related to the position of girls in Kazakh society.
For me, cataclysm is not necessarily a negative thing. This is also an important phase after which things can get better. It seems to me that many girls in Kazakhstan are waiting for this revolution in order to feel like themselves, to be confident and not to be afraid of anything.
In a photo project called Tikenek, we wanted to show the image of a girl through a strong but delicate floral image. Tikenek means thorns. Many girls have to grow thorns to feel like themselves.

“An infinite journey seen through the eyes of Sisyphus.”
is how I would describe the project HOLIC, one reflecting upon the absurd philosophy in Albert Camus's The Myth of Sisyphus. I began by questioning why Sisyphus's task remains incomplete, drawing inspiration from Jacques Lacan's theory of objet petit a—the unattainable object of desire. In the context of Sisyphus, if his task were completed, would he lose his reason for existence as an absurd hero? This question led me to design a thought experiment.
In this experiment, Sisyphus represents humanity. I selected a random orange and named it HOLIC to symbolize the achievement of the task—our object of desire. I then posed a scenario: the purpose in life is to find HOLIC, but once found, HOLIC disappears. Would you then allow the orange in your hand to become HOLIC? This experiment revealed a new perspective: Sisyphus does not seek completion in his task, mirroring our tendency to avoid fulfilling our desires. HOLIC must remain unattainable. This is where HOLIC collides with cataclysm—not merely as destruction, but as the rupture of meaning. The moment HOLIC disappears, it fractures the illusion of fulfillment, leaving only the pursuit itself. The oranges, tangible yet elusive, symbolize Sisyphus’s rolling rock, while the mirrors reflect infinite HOLICs, creating a metaphor for the relationship between humans and desire:

The prints of the miniature houses are photograms, placed on unexposed color photo paper and captured without the use of a camera or lens.
Each image is unique: the structure of the house is the same, but the gradations of color and shadows are different. They are not only done with RA-4 color chemistry, but they utilize a reversal process, so that the resulting images are positive. They may appear to be flat, or have empty interiors, yet the light shines through with degrees of both menace and revelation.
Lie Awake Dirge
The prints that do not have houses are enlargements of chemigrams.
LIE AWAKE DIRGE
By spraying, then gliding traditional darkroom chemicals onto the surface of photographic film, the liquids crystallize, blacken, and warp: all reacting with the photo emulsion. The films are presented as strips or in sections. It is a perverse treatment of the material since there is no lens or camera involved. It is not a reproduction, but enlightening what is latent; written with accidents.
A few of these are a combination of chemigrams and photograms. The chemigrams act as backgrounds projected onto the miniatures.
The houses and landscapes in these images are rarely close to the viewer. We anticipate the idealism of these locations. We are being pulled away from them. We are still dreaming toward them. They demonstrate the impossibility of perfection. Or the possibility of perfect homelessness.
ELLEN BARRATT for Cataclysm
Through light, material, and perception, I delve into the volatile transitions between form and formlessness, capturing moments suspended in chaos and transformation. Like a storm reshaping the landscape, my installations and photographic works disrupt the boundaries between the visible and the unknown.
Cataclysm, as both rupture and renewal, fascinates me as a symbol of how forces— natural, human, or cosmic— dismantle and reconstitute reality. I employ a range of mediums, from analog photography to sculptural installations, to examine the tension between the ephemeral and the permanent. By manipulating light and shadow, I explore how destruction can unveil hidden beauty and new forms.
Inspired by the complexity of systems, I look at how entropy shapes the world, transforming the familiar into the unfamiliar. Cataclysm is not only destructive but generative, highlighting the fragility and resilience of life. Through my work, I invite viewers to witness unstable moments between endings and new beginnings, where perception is challenged and reality shifts. My practice reveals the hidden structures beneath the surface, offering a profound reflection on the delicate balance between destruction and transformation.

My artistic practice is intimate and deeply personal. My photography aims to capture the rawness of the human condition, synthesizing emotion, individuality, and self-expression. I am particularly fascinated by the marriage of lensbased media and digital art, continuously exploring the ways in which narrative photography can be transformed with overlays of texture and visual effects. I desire not to be limited to a singular medium, but rather to experiment across various genres and forms of artistic expression. My photographic series, “Moonbeams”, delivers a glimpse into a metaphysical sanctuary; an alternate universe where the powerful energy of the moon stirs intense disorder and unrest. When the moon aligns with the sun, a full moon forms – a phase where the energy of the planet runs highest, opening a
gateway of healing or destruction. The moon’s gravitational pull forms tides in oceans, similar to a seething rage, ruminating in the quiet that lies in rolling waves that crash over each other. Rage can be beautiful, but what is often forgotten is that destructive emotion can stem from places of vulnerability or fear.
delivers a glimpse into a metaphysical sanctuary
Each photograph functions as a thread weaving through a dreamlike state: a girl entering the eye of the storm, surrendering to chaos, merely existing in an ephemeral trance. In this ethereal world, she harnesses the divine feminine, flowing with the waves, holding remnants of stars in her palms and on her skin.
As Night Fades
As Night Fades
By Emilie McKnight
I am an interdisciplinary visual artist based in Vancouver and my practice currently focuses on using abstraction to develop fragmented and alternative realities.
My work explores capturing unusual perspectives of the every day through scanning my surroundings with a portable scanner. Whether that’s a garbage bin, wall, street sign, etc, there is art to be seen all around— it just depends on the way you look.
Another focus I’ve been trying to capture through my photography is the fleeting and ominous feeling of late nights. After hours, everything has the feeling of transformation yet all is staying the same while time seems to stop; when it’s empty, unsettlingly silent and appears apocalyptic.

369TH WORLD
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
A New World Born from Cataclysm.
In the past few years, my perspective on relationships and life has changed dramatically. By freeing ourselves from societal ideals and following our hearts, we can create new connections and possibilities. Change can be daunting, but I believe that the future ahead is something we can shape ourselves.
Held in Vancouver in October 2024, the ANYLUCK SS25 show was designed around the theme of “Transformation and Rebirth.”
This collection was inspired by the Tarot card “Wheel of Fortune (No.10).” It represents the idea that “the moment one cycle is complete, a new world begins.” By surrendering to the flow of change, we can discover our own unique answers.
The show featured realistic, wearable clothing adorned with iconic ANYLUCK pieces and messages, expressing the beauty of transformation and renewal.
What do we create? What do we cherish? The answers lie within each of us.
I hope ANYLUCK SS25 serves as an inspiration for discovering your own new world.

DREAM
(1) A NIGHT OUT IN
The city sparkles under the starlit sky. Leaving behind tedious rules, the night begins, guided only by the heart’s desires.
With every step in sync with the music, the world transforms into your own vibrant hue.
This pink is more than just cute—it holds the strength of seeking freedom and the energy to shine as your true self. A touch of boldness, a hint of defiance, yet never forgetting the dreamy romance.
A night where you can transcend reality and be whoever you wish to be. Now, let’s step into the continuation of this dream.
As the soft evening light gently graces the hilltop, stepping through the arch of a small vineyard, you’re greeted by fluttering white ribbons and the sweet scent of ripening grapes.
This accessory feels as if it has captured the magic of this secret garden.
An afternoon spent whispering secrets amidst the warm sunlight, the playful twirl of a skirt in the breeze, the lingering taste of ripe grapes on fingertips— all woven into its essence.
A blend of girlish charm and whimsical freedom, radiating a nostalgic glow.
“Grape Garden” is a secret orchard for those who never stop dreaming.
The white roses blooming there are as delicate and beautiful as if touched by an angel. With each gentle breeze, their petals flutter, whispering secrets from a distant world.
This accessory holds the essence of that angelic presence—subtle hues blending seamlessly into white-blonde strands, the serene beauty of roses, and the mystical glow of celestial elements.
Like a single strand of an angel’s hair left behind, it remains endlessly gentle, endlessly sacred.
A piece that captures the miraculous beauty only seen on nights when angels descend. If you listen closely, you might just hear their whispers.
(4) LOVELY FEELING
That heartfluttering moment from childhood— tying your favorite ribbon, holding something precious close to your heart.
Those tiny joys still slumber within you.
Lovely Feeling embodies soft pink dreams, the pure heart of a white rose, and the warmth of emotions tied together with a ribbon.
Every time you wear it, that long-forgotten excitement comes rushing back.
Even as you grow, never let go of the feeling that makes your heart skip a beat for something truly lovely.
(5) KITTEN LOVER
“Kitten Lover” is an accessory filled with the warmth of a tiny kitten seeking affection. Every time it touches your palm, it feels as if your favorite cat is gently snuggling up to you.
The soft and delicate blonde hues resemble a kitten dozing off in the warmth of the sun.
The love letter motif carries the wish that “precious feelings will always find their way.” May your days be filled with little moments of happiness.
An accessory that reminds you of what truly matters in life.
“Kitten Lover” will always be by your side.
In a rapidly changing world, we must ask ourselves:
What do we cherish? What kind of future do we want to create?
Dress Up Wig Key Ring embraces these questions, weaving together the uniqueness and stories of each person who carries it.
No matter how society’s ideals and rules shift, you can always stay true to yourself.
