College and Major: University of Notre Dame (Mechanical Engineering)

Weighted GPA: 102.19

Newfield’s Valedictorian for the Class of 2024 is Saitta Roy. She will graduate in June with over 30 college credits, she has taken over 10 AP courses throughout her time in high school. She is involved in various school events and holds leadership positions in many clubs. Saitta is the founder and president of Crochet Club, president of The Quadrangle, president of the National Honor Society, lawyer in Mock Trial, vice president of the Tri-M Honor Society, member of Pit Orchestra, member of Dr. Roberta Gerold’s Leadership Club, and member of the Middle Country Legislative/Outreach Community Committee. Outside of school, Saitta works at the Middle Country Public Library. She also used to volunteer as a tutor/homework pal and MCPL Book Buddy. Saitta also donated actively to Stony Brook Hospital with Crochet for a Cause. In the fall, she will attend the University of Notre Dame for mechanical engineering, on her way to law school to be a patent lawyer. Congratulations Saitta!

Danica Lyktey. Danica will graduate in June with over 40 college credits, having taken a total of 15 AP and college classes throughout her time in high school. Regarding extracurriculars, Danica is an active member of the Spanish Honor Society, Newfield High School's varsity kickline team, and the National Honor Society. Outside of school, Danica is a competitive dancer at the Inspirations Performing Arts Centre. In the fall, she will be attending SUNY Binghamton for psychology. Congratulations Danica!
