LINE What are the antibacterians aditive used in the products? A major source of infections for humans is bacterial contamination. Under certain environmental conditions, bacteria are capable of proliferating exponentially, forming large colonies and producing unhealthy situations for humans. To ensure a hygienic environment it is important to control microbial growth. That is why nowadays products with antibacterial treatments are increasingly in demand, aimed at environments in which hygiene is particularly important: in public education, or for the personal use as articles of daily use, are the areas where they begin to have an increasing relevance. Products with antibacterial treatments are capable of drastically reducing the bacterial loads present on the surfaces of the materials, thanks to the incorporation of static permanent microbial agents, highly effective in inhibiting and preventing bacterial contamination. The ISO 22196 and ISO 20743 standards determine antibacterial activity on plastic materials and nonporous surfaces and on textile products, respectively. These analyzes allow to know the effectiveness of microbial inhibition that the additives have on the treated objects through a quantitative evaluation.
