WHY DID YOU GET INTO THIS INDUSTRY?
WHY AND HOW DID YOU START IN THIS INDUSTRY?
I suffered severe burns as a child and, although I do not remember the pain, I remember the state of the skin. I believe that was my introduction to skin and it triggered my fascination with this amazing organ.
I am actually a registered acupuncturist and while in my final year of Chinese Medicine School I felt called to explore the field of cosmetic acupuncture. SKN Clinic originally began with a strong Chinese Medicine influence focusing primarily on Cosmetic Acupuncture and has evolved over the past 9 years to what it is today with an array of unique treatments.
WHAT IS YOUR SKIN CARE PHILOSOPHY? The skin is a reflection of what is going on within the body, which means I introduce my guests to different protocols of detoxification; adjusting their diet and lifestyle, introducing them to exercise, and also quieting their minds. This approach totally changes the state of their skin, and doing so gives me a better foundation to work on their skin and get truly phenomenal results. WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF BEING A SKIN CARE PROFESSIONAL? The profound connection we are privileged to build, develop and nurture with our guests—we become partners with a clear goal to achieve. This develops trust and enables us to build wonderful relationships that are extremely fulfilling. We are truly blessed to develop this unique intimacy while improving a client’s health and skin. WHAT IS YOUR OWN BEAUTY REGIMEN? Simplicity! When you have access to great products, it is always easy. Lots of love, laughter and purpose. I haven’t yet achieved that fully quiet mind, but I’m working on it. Biologique Recherche Lait VIP 02 cleanser, Lotion p50T, Serum A-Glyca and Crème VIP 02 with Masque Crème Vernix and Creme Splendide, and I would never miss the Fluide VIP O2 finishing serum. All together, it takes less than five minutes! I will do masks once or twice a week.
WHAT IS YOUR SKIN CARE PHILOSOPHY? My skincare philosophy is: Feed your skin as you would feed your body. It is a living organ that requires topical care in the form of vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and antioxidants just as your body does. Caring for your skin is not a form of vanity, it is a form of selflove. HOW HAVE YOU INCORPORATED MAGICSTRIPES INTO YOUR BUSINESS/TREATMENTS? Magicstripes has been a hit from the moment it hit the shelves. We have included the masks in our treatment packages as a take home item for clients to continue to increase the results they received in clinic. This has really helped us to increase the value of the service without costing us a lot of money. The Hyaluronic Mask pairs great with the Skin Spin Roller. So we create combo packs with this powerful duo. Including the Detox mask in our acne home care programs has been a success. We can’t keep Magicstripes masks on the shelves.
Biologique Recherche New Launch for 2017: Triple Shield Complex© Sun Care Range Biologique Recherche’s aim is to respect the physiology of the skin and follow the chronology of sun exposure in three steps: Preparation, Protection and Reparation. Anti-Cellulite Regimen
