In reaching our personal goals, the road can get a little bumpy. Things often seem worse before they get better, with moments that can feel discouraging and times that test your patience. Take decluttering your closet, a task that inevitably results in creating a great big mess, with piles on the floor that need to be dealt with before you get your wardrobe to that Marie Kondo-approved state of Zen. When it comes to beauty, creating makeup looks or achieving hairstyles can often appear weird before they are completed. With skincare, treating specific conditions can sometimes leave skin looking or feeling a little worse before it improves.
