A message from the committee chairs birdie Sponsors Dear Friends, The Golf Classic has been a staple in the Prairie community for thirty years and continues to have a huge impact on Prairie’s scholarship program . Back in 1997, Prairie School trustees John Gittings and Joe Marino brought Gene Johnson’s vision to life and held the first annual Golf Classic . This event has since flourished into one that consistently ranks in the nation’s top five percent of golf outings . Together we have raised over $1 .8 million in support of Prairie’s scholarship program, ensuring that hundreds of deserving students can experience the impact of a Prairie education . Standard: Your foursome plays 18 holes and uses the yellow ball during your round . Nothing extra required . Scramble: Your foursome will play using a scramble format . On every hole, all players will hit a tee shot . The team will then select the best ball, and all players will play their next shot from that location . This process continues until the ball is holed . Please note: •
Play must remain within the same area of the course (fairway, rough, bunker, etc .) .

Only one team score is recorded for each hole .

Markers in the fairway or on the green indicate the current best shot . Together we have raised over $1 .8 million in support of Prairie’s scholarship program, ensuring that hundreds of deserving students can experience the impact of a Prairie education . Standard: Your foursome plays 18 holes and uses the yellow ball during your round . Nothing extra required . Scramble: Your foursome will play using a scramble format . On every hole, all players will hit a tee shot . The team will then select the best ball, and all players will play their next shot from that location . This process continues until the ball is holed . Please note: •
Play must remain within the same area of the course (fairway, rough, bunker, etc .) .

No more than two putts per hole .
•
Only one team score is recorded for each hole .
The winning foursome will receive the first-ever Golf Classic President’s Trophy, courtesy of Nat Coffman, President & Head of School .

Individual Stroke Play: You must have a USGA GHIN, which you can share at registration . Players are allowed no more than two putts (pick up and count the third) . There will be a triple bogey max, and players should pick up the ball in these situations .
