We are at the Southern most tip of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula with our own beach front and bordering Point Nepean
National Park The Camp is situated on 7 acres of extraordinarily beautiful land and has stunning views looking across Port Phillip Bay towards Queenscliff, and on the distant horizon Melbourne

The Portsea Camp provides the perfect backdrop for children and teenagers to forge a deep connection with the natural world. Surrounded by pristine beaches, lush nature reserves and diverse wildlife, campers can develop a sense of awe and appreciation for the environment.
This package allows teachers to lead their own activities during the camp. Teachers can choose from a range of available facilities and resources at Portsea Camp to create a customized program for their students.

In a coastal nature park like setting such as ours, campers discover the beauty in simplicity. They learn to appreciate the awe-inspiring sunsets, the soothing sound of crashing waves and the joy of star-filled night skies, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the little joys of life.
We will soon be offering a range of wellness programs that can be customised into your program;
- Morning Yoga sessions or Reconnect & Restore workshops with our external partner GEN ALFA

Coastal camping experiences create lasting memories that stay with children and teenagers throughout their lives. They provide a fertile ground for personal growth, self-discovery and building lifelong friendships, fostering a sense of identity, confidence and resilience.
One of our focuses at The Portsea Camp is our mission for everyone, no matter their interests or additional needs, the chance to experience camp to its fullest
These can include:
D I Y trips (self-contained accommodation, D I Y food, shopping, planning, activities) This type of package is suitable for ages 16 plus Music, dance, theatre, artist, photography, film, religious, sports, language immersion camps & more. No matter your interest or specialty there is a place for you at our camp. Our site has 4 distinct indoor break-out areas and plenty of outdoor space.
Community Schools/Disability schools and groups – We can customise activities for accessibility requirements and help you create an itinerary to best suit your group Our accommodation areas each have their own accessible rooms so that no matter the need we can accommodate to all We encourage groups with additional needs to bring the required support with them and we adjust our ratios to help support you in looking after your students
This package focuses on nature, wilderness survival, teamwork, and resilience that supports experiential learning and enhances student wellbeing, engagement and regulation All activities are designed to be connected to specific learning outcomes, ensuring a valuable educational experience for students
Please note that the pricing for the Outdoor Classrooms package will depend on the number of your students and teachers attending Our team at Portsea Camp will work closely with you to create a tailored package that meets your school's objectives and budget.

After a 5 day camp 60% of students feel connected and accepted while on camp and 80% appreciate the chance to explore, discover and learn new things.
A convenient alternative to overnight camps through engaging day excursions, providing a fun and immersive experience for students of all ages, or to prepare young students for future overnight stays.
3 Activities are selected from our core packages in consultation with our Experiences Team based on group sizes and teacher outcomes. Example activities include: Flying Fox, Surf Life Saving Games, Giant Swing, Orienteering, Survival Skills, Bush Cooking, Snorkelling, Amazing Race and many more
Tailored experiences that extend beyond the typical curriculum, fostering student engagement and personal development in a secure environment
By bringing unique activities directly to school, we eliminate the logistical challenges associated with off-site camps and excursions, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience. ½ day and full day options
Examples include Horizontal Abseiling, Team Building, Scooters, Survivor Games, Dry Kayaking, Survival Skills, ‘Find Your Patient’, Orienteering, Geocaching and Oceanography.

At The Portsea Camp our brother chef’s love creating meals that are healthy, fun and delicious!
Our kitchen has been recognised as top class for our allergy procedures by the Australian Camps Association. We know how scary sending your child to camp can be with an allergy or anaphylaxis to food, which is why we have the most thorough processes in place to keep every student safe, while also making sure they still get to enjoy our amazing food
We are happy to say we cater for all anaphylaxis, allergies, intolerances and all the dietary requirements you just don’t like the taste of.
Our baked goods are made in house with assorted fruits and flavours to ignite your taste buds.
On movie night or campfire night we can supply the students with popcorn and Primas as an evening snack (supper)
On those hot summer days, we may switch out or baked goods for some icy poles and plenty of fruit to keep the students going through their fun filled day of activities.
In our dining hall we always have on offer, fresh fruit and filtered tap water
Teachers are well looked after by our chefs with a complimentary cheese platter on one night of their choosing and the choice to indulge in a hot breakfast on departure day We see you teachers, don’t worry! / 18
Lunch - Bring your own packed lunch to enjoy on arrival.
Afternoon Tea – Selection of your favourite fruits and some in house baked goods.
Dinner – Bolognese pasta or Napoli for the vego’s with garlic bread and 2 types of flavoursome salads.
Dessert – Ice cream sundaes.
Breakfast – Toast and spreads, a selection of cereals and milk, and juice to wash it all down.
Morning Tea – Juicy watermelon with some in house baked cookies
Lunch – Chicken, Lamb & Falafel gyros wraps with a selection of toppings
Afternoon Tea - Selection of your favourite fruits and some in house baked goods.
Dinner – Our trademark dish, the famous taco bowl.
Breakfast - Toast and spreads, a selection of cereals and milk, and juice to wash it all down. Morning Tea – Getting ready for departing some chips and Primas to have on the go
Lunch – Build a roll, just have cheese or all the toppings!

MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR 75 YEARS
O U R S I T E M A P
The site comprises of three discrete accommodation areas: Each with their own communal area for night activities, AV equipment and quiet space.
This wing was constructed in the 1880's and is listed by Heritage Victoria There are 3 bunk houses with 36 to 38 beds in each for groups preferring the sense of community and fun that large rooms inevitably bring, and also 12 ensuite rooms for 3 to 6 people each. Connelly Hall is the communal area, which has a kitchenette, lounge, tables and chairs. You have the use of Winwood hall for night activities, that has AV equipment and a stage
This brick wing was constructed in the 1970's and comprises 4 bunk houses and 14 single bed rooms with a central shower and toilet block, along with a communal space and soon to be camp kitchen
Our Bayside Units are positioned on the cliff top facing Port Phillip Bay. There are 12 en-suite rooms sleeping from 4-8 in bunk beds, overlooking a Portsea cliff top grassy area. The Nautilus Centre is the communal area which has a fully equipped kitchen, first aid room, area for night activities with AV equipment and a lounge/quiet space / 27
At The Portsea Camp EDVENTURE Outdoor Classroom, we believe that outdoor classrooms provide invaluable learning experiences for children of all ages. Our program offers a wide range of activities that foster intellectual, emotional, and personal growth. Through interaction with the environment and social development, we enrich children's education beyond the confines of a traditional classroom setting.

The hall is attached commercial kitchen an seating for up to 300 stage, piano, and aud equipment.
Included in the hiring of our Parade Grounds area is this small communal hall comprising a kitchenette, small lounge area with sofas, a tv, whiteboard, and dining space for up to 40 people.
Included in the hiring of our Bayside Units is this communal space with a large kitchen, first aid room, audio/visual equipment, whiteboard, seating for up to 50 people, and 2 accessible rooms with separate shower housing 3 single beds each.
Nautilus has a beautiful wrap around deck with BBQ, outdoor tables, and million dollar views Extra chairs and tables can be found in
A large HACCP accredited kitchen fitted with all the commercial equipment necessary for large groups bringing a qualified chef to camp
The grounds were immaculate! The recreation team were excellent, supportive and great with the students.
The perfect sunny spot for sporting ventures or activities requiring large open spaces Take a stroll through the oval for stair access direct to the beach
We have a small museum on-site holding many of our old photographs, memorabilia, old dental drills and much more If you would like to have a wander through, please touch base with the office team who will be happy to help.
There was so much food and the kids loved it! It was really great to see the positive changes made since our last visit in 2021 which means we can’t wait to come back.
