We fell in love with this cheerful mantra during our travels through the South of France, where cicada motifs adorn doors and beach cabins, protecting homes and reminding everyone to celebrate the sun. Its author—Frédéric Mistral, poet from Provence— wrote this from the perspective of ‘The Lucky Cicada,’ which later became an emblem of the region.
Maybe it’s our sunny West Coast roots, but that motto stayed with us. It felt like the warm, easy-going summer mood we envisioned for this collection, inspired by the fragrant lavender fields of Provence, sunlit cafés in the Marais, and glistening waters of Cassis.
In these pages, you’ll rediscover some of your favorite silhouettes in new shades nodding to the gelato and espresso sold on Parisian market streets like Rue Cler. We’ve added playful touches channeling the sun-drenched beach clubs along the French Riviera, with scalloped ric-rac hems and vibrant stripes. WHOLESALE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Upon approval as a dealer, minimum opening orders are per line and per approved sale location as follows: SCENTED PRODUCTS/ACCESSORIES: $300 minimum/$200 reorder; APPAREL: $500 minimum/$200 reorder. $1,200 yearly minimum for all customers. All potential retailers are subject to geographic approval. MERSEA retains the right to protect territories for current customers. Previously established accounts that have not met the yearly minimum will become inactive. To be reinstated, inactive accounts will be subject to reassessment and may be reopened at MERSEA’s sole discretion and our opening order minimum will be required.
