VICTIMS ROBBED AT GUNPOINT IN OAKLAND

Pitt police issued a crime alert after two suspects were involved in an armed robbery Friday night. Pitt and city police responded to the crime, which took place on the 300 block of Ophelia Street, Oct. 27, at 11:24 p.m. A black male approached the two victims and asked them where a party was, according to city police spokesperson Sonya Toler. As the victims tried to pass him, a white male approached, drawing a gun. The white man ripped two gold chains off one victim, took his watch and ordered him to hand over his wallet.
