When I rst launched my Photoshop Artistry course, my main focus was on photographers wishing to push their work further ... and I deliberately left it wide open in terms of what students would be able to do with the training and techniques I provided.
What I never wanted was to be one of those instructors who takes students step by step through one of his own cherished masterpieces so you can duplicate it point for point (with the exact same image les, no less).
My experience is that an approach like that turns out carbon copy artists.
I wanted variety. I wanted individual voices.
I wanted artists on re to ex express something of their own and carry it into the world in their own unique way.
Well … we’re now TWENTY ISSUES in on this magazine, and every month we continue to get hundreds (and hundreds, and hundreds) of submissions from the artists in our “AWAKE” group … and I can tell you: Unique we’ve got!
It’s so exciting to see the rich variety of content the artists in the group turn out each month.
And it just keeps coming.
So many artists on so many diverse journeys.
Which is good for everyone taking part, and not the least of all you — since it means you get to enjoy the dazzling array of new art published here every month.
And if you’re an artist, or if you’re a photographer, my hope is that it inspires you as much as it does me! ~
