-Councillor Marc Laferriere announces that he will not seek re-election in 2022, after 15 years in community politics.
-The Paris Agricultural Society hosts drive-in community BINGO, back by popular demand.
-Project Safe Trade is now in the County of Brant thanks to space available at new OPP station. This is a safe location to pick up items purchased from online social media platforms

-Residents were treated to an afternoon thrill show that featured two exhilarating sports: bull riding and motocross. The country-style actionpacked afternoon raised money for Help a Child Smile.

-The Ford Motor Company of Canada announces that Paris will be home to its newest distribution centre with a state of the art 52,000 square foot building off Rest Acres Road and Highway 403.

-The Paris Curling Club, affectionately known as the Friendliest House in Town, opens its doors to members and invites residents to try the sport during two ‘Learn to Curl’open houses.

SOME NOTABLE LAW ENFORCEMENT FROM PARIS PAST




Above: Chief Thomas Bean, 1929 to 1964 was well known and well respected. While he had little time for written reports, Chief Bean had a remarkable memory. This coupled with the fact that he knew almost every resident in Paris, made it very difficult for any stranger to go unnoticed, or to commit a crime and escape Beanie’s apprehension.
