Paris Figure Skaters pass first fall tests
The Paris Figure Skating Club held its fall test day on November 15th, giving skaters the chance to test their skills with the hopes of advancing to the next level. The results are as follows, starting with Dance: Madelyn Tapp –Ten Fox (6A), Cassie Hoo – European Waltz (6B), Madelyn Tapp –Fourteenstep (6C), Janine Smith –Keats Foxtrot (7A), Ella Knill – Rocker Foxtrot (8B), Camryn Wilson – Cha Cha Congelado (10A) & Argentine Tango (Gold B), Erin Plaquet –Viennese Waltz (Gold A) & Argentine Tango (Gold B) and Samantha Hutchinson – Rhumba (Diamond).

County of Brant, EarlyON Brantford Brant and Child and Family Services of Grand Erie invite the community to an Open House
County of Brant, ON – We are pleased to invite the community to an Open House on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 10:00 am to celebrate the launch of free weekly EarlyON programming at the TF Warren Group Cainsville Community Centre (15 Ewart Ave, Cainsville).

EarlyONs are free drop-in play programs for children 0-6 and their parents and caregivers offered throughout the County of Brant and the City of Brantford
County of Brant EarlyON programs are managed by the County’s Social Service provider, the City of Brantford The EarlyON program at TF Warren Group Cainsville Community Centre, runs from 9:00 am – 11:30 am on Mondays by Child and Family Services of Grand Erie and on Wednesdays by Six Nations of the Grand River, offering Indigenous programming. Both days are open and free to all children 0-6 and their parents/caregivers.
“We are very grateful to our friends at the City of Brantford for managing Social Services for County of Brant residents,” said County of Brant Mayor David Bailey. “The free programs offered through EarlyON Centres and Child and Family Services of Grand Erie provide the opportunity for the youngest members of our community and their caregivers to get out, play and connect with others! We hope to see members of the community come out on December 6!”
The Open House on December 6 will kick off at 10 am and will include a ribbon cutting ceremony and a special Indigenous Thanksgiving address.

EarlyON programs are a wonderful opportunity for parents and caregivers to explore play and learning with their children and each other, supported by Early Childhood Educators who provide support and resources, ensuring children have the best possible start in life. We appreciate that that County is providing this wonderful space to expand EarlyON in our community,” says Michelle Connor, City of Brantford Manager of Children’s Services and Early Years.
EarlyON Child and Family programs are offered in accordance with provincial direction and may be virtual, outdoor and/or indoor programming. In addition to the programs offered at the TF Warren Group Cainsville Community Centre, free drop-in programs are also available at the following County of Brant locations: County of Brant Public Library – Paris Branch; Burford Community Centre; Scotland Community Centre; Mount Pleasant Optimist Community Centre; Holy Trinity Church in St. George; North Ward School in Paris; St James Church in Paris.
