The 2023 Annual Catholic Appeal launches February 25th and 26th throughout the Diocese of Trenton.
Each year the Bishop seeks the support of all the members of the diocese to further the work of our ministries. Each of us has a vital part in all we do in Christ’s name, and each of us can share in all we do with a gift to the Annual Catholic Appeal. Our single Act of Faith propels the works of love that build up our Church. You make that happen with a generous gift to the ACA. This year St. Mary Parish share of the goal is $75,000. As the people of the Diocese of Trenton, you have an opportunity to help others see Christ working in our midst. Please take a moment and truly reflect on any help you can give. We truly need everyone to participate. Thank you for your support, and may God continue to bless you and your family.
THANK YOU ST. MARY’S PARISHIONERS

On behalf of the Church of Mother of Mercy Religious Education program, I would like to thank you for your enormous generosity in donating Christmas gifts to the children of our program. With your immense contribution, we have met our goal in giving a gift to every child of our program and we could not have done it without your help. The children, their families and our catechists of the Religious Education Program are so grateful and inspired by your thoughtfulness and generosity! I am thankful that your parish has been so kind and giving with our community. May God fill your life with love, joy and peace this Christmas and throughout the new year. Celebrating Marriage For The Month Of February
Week 2 (February 11, 12) – World Marriage Day Weekend
Celebrating the Beauty of Catholic Marriage from the Catechism – read more at usccb.org under “Resources”
1605 Holy Scripture affirms that man and woman were created for one another: "It is not good that the man should be alone." The woman, "flesh of his flesh," his equal, his nearest in all things, is given to him by God as a "helpmate"; she thus represents God from whom comes our help. "Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh." The Lord himself shows that this signifies an unbreakable union of their two lives by recalling what the plan of the Creator had been "in the beginning": "So they are no longer two, but one flesh." (Catechism of the Catholic Church)
Week 3 (February 18, 19)

1643 "Conjugal love involves a totality, in which all the elements of the person enter - appeal of the body and instinct, power of feeling and affectivity, aspiration of the spirit and of will. It aims at a deeply personal unity, a unity that, beyond union in one flesh, leads to forming one heart and soul; it demands indissolubility and faithfulness in definitive mutual giving; and it is open to fertility. (Catechism of the Catholic Church)
Week 4 (February 25, 26)
Celebrating the Beauty of Catholic Marriage from the Catechism – read more at usccb.org under “Resources”
1644 The love of the spouses requires, of its very nature, the unity and indissolubility of the spouses' community of persons, which embraces their entire life: "so they are no longer two, but one flesh." They "are called to grow continually in their communion through day-to-day fidelity to their marriage promise of total mutual self-giving." This human communion is confirmed, purified, and completed by communion in Jesus Christ, given through the sacrament of Matrimony. It is deepened by lives of the common faith and by the Eucharist received together (Catechism of the Catholic Church).
