Question for Youth: Jesus gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit and gave us the power to forgive sins. How do you offer forgiveness to your friends and family? How do you seek forgiveness for yourself?

The trumpet-shaped bloom harkens to the text from the Exsultet, “sound the mighty trumpet of salvation”, and from the letters to the Corinthians, “the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised”. The white color symbolizes purity, hope, and peace.

We have chosen to suspend our usual ordering of Easter flowers for this year for various reasons of which we are all aware. If we are able to gather for the solemnities at the end of the Easter season, we will likely procure some small arrangements to add to the beauty of our worship space. But for now, watch the flower beds for signs of Spring’s return, purchase a lily or some other flowers for your dinner table, and remember the hope symbolized by the lily, not only for an end to our current strife but for eternal salvation.

First Communion Given the evolving situation regarding the Coronavirus threat in our state and nation, it is difficult to plan ahead. It is certain that we will not be able to celebrate our First Communions as previously scheduled in April and May. We have consulted with the other parishes in our cohort and have decided it is best to plan on celebrating these special events in the Fall. This is preferable to proposing a date that is sooner that we would likely need to change. As soon as we can reliably settle on a date, we will communicate that to you. We will plan on bringing the children back for a review session with their teachers. We will also schedule the First Communion retreat and practices. As soon as we are able to set the dates for First Communion, all the other pieces will fall into place.

Let us keep one another in prayer during this difficult time.

Registration for students entering 7th and 8th grades in the Fall has began For the past several years, these grades have met on Sunday evenings on alternate weekends. We are looking at modifying the Sunday schedule (currently A one week B the next) for this coming 2020 – 2021 school year to (A&B) classes meeting on the same Sunday approximately every 2 weeks. When you go to register your child for the Fall, you will have a choice. We will have a session beginning with the 12 noon Mass and running until 2:30, and a second session on that same Sunday running from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Students will still meet roughly every other weekend. There may be times during the year when a special service activity or speaker might be scheduled between the afternoon and evening sessions or on the off weekends. We would like to keep the sizes of the two groups roughly the same. Therefore when you register, you will be asked to choose which session you would prefer, or indicate if you have no preference. Be sure to register early in April if you have a definite preference. Registration will be on a first come first served basis according to your full completion of the registration process. Fall and Online - Grades 1 - 8 : Tuition $250/ child^ Registration begins April 1, 2020 at 9 am and ends May 31, 2020 at 12 noon.  April 1 at 9 am - April 30 at 12 noon there is a $50 early registration discount.

The process to create a MOC portal login and receive a temporary password can take a few days. This interface is not mobile device friendly and has been known to have emails blocked by several of the email providers.

Request student(s) session & class through the MOC portal Once request is received by RE office, it will be verified and processed, then, an invoice will be created for payment, and be emailed back to family.

This email/Invoice will include a web link to make payments through the Online Giving interface.

Submit payment through the Online Giving link provided in invoice email. Please note, a student’s placement is not regarded as certain until payment is made. A final verification will be sent to confirm enrollment and that the process is complete. ** New to My Own Church (MOC).
