IRIS BROWN
KNOX, IN - Iris Brown, 86, died Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at her home. She was born September 10, 1939 in Magoffin County, Kentucky. Iris was employed with Howmet in La Porte for 25 years before retiring. She loved spending time outdoors-playing baseball with her children when they were young, tending her yard or playing pool, traveling and family gatherings. She was an avid golfer, winning many trophies over the years. She loved the Cubs and got the chance to run out on the field to meet Ernie Banks when her seat number was chosen. She is survived by her former husband, Adam Manns and their four children: Melissa Keating, Jennifer (Tom) Tauteris, Anthony (Julie) Manns and Mark Manns, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one sister, Charlotte Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Brown and siblings: Helen Mulholland, Joyce Davis, Doris Davis and Alvis, Harold, Hager, Donald, Lester and Doyle Minix. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, September 9 at 1pm CT, with visitation 2 hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery in Hamlet, Indiana. Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.

WINAMAC, IN - FORMERLY OF LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ & PENSACOLA BEACH, FL - Harry Stoddard, 74, died Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at his home. He was born August 12, 1952 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Harry and Helen (Wizbiski) Stoddard. On June 13, 2012 in Gulf Breeze, Florida, he married Kimberly (Bonnell) Woods. Harry was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, walking, camping and fishing trips with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Kimmy, his step children: Chuck (Jen) Woods of Russellville, Arkansas, Brandee (Paul Tschoepe) Daumer of Crawfordsville, Indiana Robert Daumer and Rodney Daumer, Jr., both of Valparaiso, Indiana and Jacob (Melaina) Kolish of Rensselaer, Indiana, four step grandchildren and one sister, Marie (Matt) Terranova of York, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by four siblings: Dorothy, Theresa, Richard and Russell. Memorials may be made to the Friends of Tippecanoe River State Park or the Winamac Town Park Fund. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
