JACKIE RAY OWENS JR.

PLYMOUTH, IN - Jackie Ray Owens Jr., 37, died Sunday, April 27, 2025. He was born May 15, 1987 in Houston, Texas to Jackie and Nannette Owens. On September 22, 2018, he married Jess Kutch. Jackie was very active and athletic. He loved kick-boxing, disc-golf, horseback riding, mowing the lawn, fishing and spending time with his family. He was mechanically inclined and was always willing to help someone needing car repair. He is survived by his wife, Jess, two sons: Jasper and Jameson, his mother, Nannette Owens and one sister, Jessica Swenson, both of Leiters Ford, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie R. Owens Sr. Services were held Saturday, May 3, at the Ancilla Domini Chapel. Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox, Indiana.

DANNY LEN HEMINGER

PULASKI, IN - Danny Len Heminger, 66, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 26, 2025. He was born February 12, 1959 in Knox, Indiana to the late Russell J. and Flossie V. (Coonfare) Heminger. Danny grew up in Plymouth, Indiana and attended Plymouth High School. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and living life along the Tippecanoe River. He loved his family very much. He is survived by one son, Jesse (Alivia) Heminger and one daughter, Mandy Heminger, both of Plymouth, three grandchildren and siblings: Norma (Ted) Nitz of Bremen, Indiana and Carl Heminger of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by one brother, Art Heminger. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family asks that a tree be planted in his memory. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac, Indiana.

BETTY P. HOWARD

KNOX, IN - Betty P. Howard, 86, died Monday, April 28, 2025 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born April 9, 1939 in Winamac, Indiana, to the late Jesse and Gladys Thomas Deel. Betty loved her family and doing things for them, crocheting, sewing, cooking and baking and growing plants and flowers. She is survived by her children: Patricia (Dennis) Fosburg of Monterey, Indiana, James L. (Teri) Howard of Port Byron, Illinois, John W. (Kathy) Howard and Paul R. (Jenny) Howard, both of Knox, Indiana and Susan (Billy) Fields of Winamac, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren with 3 on the way and one sister, Hazel (Bob) Bowling of Panama. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard, two grandsons: George Peterson and Christopher Howard and one great grandson, Logan Mann and three brothers: Danny, Tom and Billy Deel. Services were held Friday, May 2, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial was in the Round Lake Cemetery in Knox. Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.

JOHN JOSEPH KRAMER

NORTH JUDSON, IN - John Joseph “Jack” Kramer, 85, died Tuesday, April 29, 2025. He was born July 7, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Clarence and Lillian (Conley) Kramer. Jack was a veteran of the US Army, having been stationed in Germany. He was a devout member of the Catholic Church. He was an avid reader and enjoyed studying art. He was an actor and participated in plays in Chicago and California. He had been a car salesman in the Chicagoland area for many years. He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Ann (Randall) Williams of North Judson and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons: John Charles, Scott Richard and Keith Thomas Kramer and four siblings: Leonard, James, David and Ann Kramer. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac, Indiana.
