MULBERRY, IN - FORMERLY OF WINAMAC, IN - Linda L. (White)
Adams-Laffoon, 78, died Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Mulberry Health. She was born November 10, 1947, in Monon, Indiana to the late Carl A. and Mildred I. (Kiser) White. Linda graduate from Francesville High School in Francesville, Indiana. She was a longtime member of the Tippecanoe Christian Church in Winamac. She loved singing, dancing, cooking, spending time outdoors and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters: Rebecca S. “Becky” (Troy) Weston of Winamac and Jessica I. “Jessi” Floyd of Frankfort, Indiana, two sons: Carl J. “Joey” Adams of Monon and Kenneth R. “Kenny” Adams-Villani of Somerset, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and siblings: James White of Dayton, Indiana, Joyce White of Winamac and Sue (Donald) Hall of Hardyville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jackie R. Adams and twin grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11am1pm EDT on Thursday, May 7 at the Tippecanoe Christian Church. Services will start at 1:30pm with Rev. Edward Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Tippecanoe Cemetery in Winamac. Memorials may be made to the Tippecanoe Christian Church.

JOSEPH A. PERCH
BASS LAKE, IN - Joseph A. “Joe” Perch, 84, died Monday, April 27, 2026 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Winamac, Indiana. He was born January 4, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph F. and Freida (Worczinski) Perch. On March 17, 1962 in Chicago, he married Carolyn M. Hoffman. Joe attended Farragut High School in Chicago. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a lifelong painter and drywall taper, having served as the President of the Painter’s and Decorator’s Union Local #184 in Chicago. He enjoyed boating, building antique firearms from kits and spending time with family and friends on the lake.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, three sons: Adam J. (Kim) Perch of Panama City Beach, Florida, Andrew J. (Christi) Perch of Mokena, Illinois and Jason A. Perch of Burbank, Illinois and four grandchildren.
Private graveside services were held at the Pulaski Presbyterian and Community Cemetery in Pulaski, Indiana. Memorials may to the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
GEORGE WILLIAM FOLKERS
KNOX, IN - George William “Bill” Folkers, 92, died Sunday, April 26, 2026. He was born March 8, 1934 in Knox, Indiana. Bill started his career as an operating engineer and then returned to the family farm. He later managed the Summit Farm in La Porte, Indiana for the Indiana Department of Corrections. He served on the Starke County Sheriff’s Posse for 50 years, where he was honored to ride with the Lake County Sheriff’s Posse in the Rose Bowl, Cotton Bowl and in President Ronald Reagan’s 2nd inaugural parade. He loved Hoosier basketball, spending time outdoors and he loved his family very much.
He is survived by his children: Bill (Nan) Folkers, Beth (Rick) Neilson and Kris Arvelo, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and his siblings: Margaret Rice of Auburn, Indiana, Ruth (Bill) McGuire of Knox, Tom (Lynn) Folkers of Kokomo, Indiana, Judy Mishler of Anderson, Indiana and Tim (Diana) Folkers of Michigan City, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Rodgers Folkers, his parents, George W. and Alice Anna Folkers and one sister, Mary Segerson.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 9, with visitation at 11am CT and the service at 12pm CT at the M.C. Smith Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Eagle Creek Cemetery in Knox.

CHASE DOUGLAS SHANLEY
NAPPANEE, IN - Chase Douglas Shanley, 21, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, Indiana. He was born July 15, 2004 in Rensselaer, Indiana.
Chase was a 2023 graduate of Northwood High School. He was an avid gamer and enjoyed spending time with his friends and his brother. He and his girlfriend were looking forward to the birth of their first child.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Niya Fayh-Barnes of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, one brother, Cayson William Shanley of Rensselaer, his father, Joshua Robert Shanley of Westville, Indiana, grandmother, Marcia Lynn Goad of Nappanee and great grandparents: William “Bill” Shanley and Brenda Willems, both of Rensselaer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amanda (Downs) Shanley, grandparents: Donald Lee Shanley, Jack Pinkerman and Tina Downs, step grandfather, Lee Goad and great grandparents: Nancy Shanley, Charles Willems and John and Arvilla Mitchell.
A celebration of life was held at the Rensselaer Eagles on Saturday, May 2. Burial was in the Weston Cemetery in Rensselaer.
A celebration of life will be held in Nappanee at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.

RONALD D. RIDDLE
KNOX, IN - Ronald D. Riddle, better known as “Rooster” or “Razor” died Thursday, April 30, 2026.
Ronald lived life how he wantedwild, loud, adventurous and with a story worth telling. In his younger days, he enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He also loved searching for arrowheads, hunting mushrooms, trapping, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie, children: Michelle (Scott), ReGenna (JR) and Ronnie (Crystal), seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
