FRANCESVILLE, IN - Douglas
“Doug” Kruger, 66, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at his home. He was born Agust 6, 1959 in Monticello, Indiana to Carl M. and Betty L. (Grieger) Kruger.
Doug graduated from West Central High School in 1977. He owned and operated DK’s Repair Shop in Francesville for many years. He enjoyed attending car show, hunting, gardening and motorcycle riding. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Cinderella Kruger, his mother, Betty, both of Francesville, one sister, Cindy (Tom) Hickle of Winamac, Indiana and one brother, Jeff (Juanita) Kruger of Lafayette, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl and grandparents: Melvin and Edna (Timmons) Kruger and Orval and Eveyln (Nickels) Grieger.

FRANCESVILLE, IN - Patricia
Louise “Pat” Tiede, 76, died at the family farm from a battle with cancer. She was born January 4, 1950 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Herman M. and Eva B. (Bowland) Davis. On May 4, 1969 she married Michael D. “Mick” Tiede.
Pat graduated from the first class at West Central High School in 1968. She served the residents of Pulaski County through her work in the Pulaski County Assessor’s Office. She loved people and found joy in serving others. She was a devoted member of the First Christian church of Francesville and was active in the Christian Women’s Club and treasured the friendships made through the ‘Golden Arches Card Club”.
She is survived by her husband, Mick, one son, Scott (Tracy) Tiede, one daughter, Kelly (Tim) Weaver, four grandchildren and siblings: Martha Krohn, Judy Sierzputowski, Ruth Wright, Mike Davis and Kathy Meyer. She was preceded in death by siblings: Sharon Haby, Shirley Hatfield, Max Davis and Don Davis.
Private graveside services will be held at the Bowman White Post Cemetery in Francesville. Memorials may be made to LifeWise Academy at West Central or to White Post Township for the Medaryville Fire Station Building Fund.

KNOX, IN - Gary “Mike” Marshall died Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was born August 6, 1954 in Knox, Indiana to Darrell and Betty Marshall.
Mike was a truck driver and an awesome mechanic.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Nordstrom, daughter, Bailee Lee and siblings: Rhonda Johnson, Candance Kain and Jeff Lange. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

JAMES R. BAILEY
KNOX, IN - James R. “Jim” Bailey, 70, died Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Northwest Health La Porte Hospital in La Porte, Indiana after a short illness. He was born April 25, 1956 in Knox to the late Verl and Frances (Miller) Bailey.
Jim was a member of MOPAR National and the Country Kettle coffee “club”. He enjoyed camping, grilling out, riding his motorcycle and his race cars and spending time with his family. He worked as a self-employed truck driver.
He is survived by his companion, Helen Dillard of Knox, three daughters: Rosie “Audrey” Abner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Crystal (Brandon) Eskew and Brittany (Cody) Wielgos, both of Knox, eight grandchildren and siblings: Jack (Barb) Bailey, Bonnie (Arnold) Keeton, Karen (Mike) Baker and Mary Beth (Mike) Fornelli, all of Knox, Brenda Kletz of Mishawaka, Indiana and Kathy (John) Cross of Algoma, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Owen Eskew.
Services were held Tuesday, July 7 at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial was in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. Memorials may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, Starke Co. Humane Society or Braman & Son Memorial Chapel.

DONALD P. BUSCH
MONTICELLO, IN - FORMERLY OF PULASKI COUNTY, IN -
Donald P. “Don” Busch, 97, died Monday, June 29, 2026 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello, Indiana. He was born May 3, 1929 in Beaver Township, Pulaski County to the late Samuel W. and Lola I. (Westphal) Busch. On October 11, 1952, he married Shirley A. Cords.
Don graduated from Francesville High School in 1947. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of the Francesville American Legion Post #228. He and his wife operated Busch Farm Service in Francesville for over 35 years. He served as a committeeman for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service and as a member of the Pulaski Health Foundation Board. He was a longtime member off St. James Salem Community Church and the Pulaski County Chapter of The Gideon’s International. Don enjoyed Indy 500 racing as well as flying and held a private pilot license.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, one son, David W. (Elizabeth) Busch of Monticello, two daughters: Susan E. Valencic of Muncie, Indiana and Valerie Ruess of Indianapolis, Indiana, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one sister, Ruth N. Lutes of Star City, Indiana. He was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur R. Busch. Services were held Thursday, July 2, at St. James Salem Community Church. Burial was in the St. James Salem Cemetery in Francesville. Memorials may be made to The Gideon’s International.

SHERRY ANN COMBS
WINAMAC, IN - Sherry Ann Combs, 72, died Wednesday, July1, 2026 at her home. She was born March 7, 1954 in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Harold and Delores (Smith) Milliser. On October 21, 1972 in Winamac, she married Roger Lee Combs. He died August 7, 1998. Sherry attended high school in Winamac and had graduated from Knox Beauty College. She enjoyed working as a beautician alongside Karen Scheffer and then as the owner operator of Sherry’s Hair Designs in Winamac. She had also worked at Eatons, K-Mart and Eastern Pulaski Community Schools. She enjoyed crafting and was known for her handmade cards and she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Tracy Lee (Brad) Manns of Winamac, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and siblings: James Skelton of Pewaukee, Wisconsin and Shirley (Bill) Burns of Kewanna, Indiana. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bobbie Joe Skelton.
The family will host a celebration of life Friday, July 10 from 3-5pm EDT at the Winamac VFW. Private burial will be held at Highland Cemetery in North Judson, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to LifeWise Academy at Eastern Pulaski.

BARBARA SUE RAUSCH
WINAMAC, IN - Barbara Sue (Vogel) Rausch, 72, died Friday, July 3, 2026 at her home. She was born November 7, 1953 in Mishawaka, Indiana. On June 12, 1976 in La Porte, Indiana, she married Thomas Edward Rausch. Barb graduated from La Porte High School in 1972 and earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Ball State University. She was an elementary teacher at North Judson-San Pierre Schools for 35 years. She loved being outdoors, especially mowing, fishing, spending time at Tippecanoe River State Park and the simple pleasures in life. She loved her family very much.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas, one son, Aaron James (Jen) Rausch of Chesterton, Indiana, one daughter, Laura Jean (Tim) Mason of Valparaiso, Indiana and six grandsons. She was preceded in death by one son, Abram Michael Rausch, her parents, James and Betty (McCarty) Vogel and one brother, Richard Vogel.
A funeral mass will be held at 11am EDT on Wednesday, July 8 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Rowland officiating. Private burial will be in the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.

WAYNE ALAN CRIST
WINAMAC, IN - Wayne Alan Crist, 78 died at 5:10am on Friday, July 3, 2026. He was born December 10, 1947 in Logansport, Indiana to the late Marion and Bertha (Parmeter) Crist. On November 29, 1968 he married Phyllis J. Harper.
Wayne graduated from Star City High School in 1965. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the 196th Light Infantry Brigade during the Vietnam War and received 2 Purple Hearts. He had worked at RCA in Monticello until its closing and then worked at Braun Corp until his retirement. He enjoyed playing cards and dice, watching basketball and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, four daughters: Trina Fulmer, Tasha (Parish) Foerg, Tiffany (Steve) Davis and Tennille (Ralph) Calabrese, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one sister, Linda Stigen. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Litke.
Private graveside services will be held in the Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition). Memorials may be made to the VFW Post #1728 in Winamac. Arrangements were made by Rans Funeral Home & Crematory in Winamac.
HELENA C. SMITH REPP
MONTEREY, IN - Helena C. (Weaver) Smith Repp, 82, died Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, Indiana. She was born June 27, 1944 in Winamac to the late Omer and Vera (Tuley) Weaver. On November 12, 1978 she married Leonard J. Repp. He died December 31, 2005. Helena worked at Singer’s in Winamac before beginning a career at Eatons that spanned 35 years. In her retirement years she was a beloved babysitter to numerous Monterey children. She was an talented seamstress and an avid gardener. She enjoyed watching old classic shows and anything on the Hallmark Channel, special trips with family and spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters: Debbie Armstrong of Winamac and Carol (Todd) Hartle of Warsaw, Indiana, five sons: Robert Repp of Plymouth, Indiana, Daniel (Jennifer) Smith of Monterey, Larry Repp of Bremen, Indiana Christopher (Tabitha) Smith of Delong, Indiana and Omer (Shanon) Smith of Rochester, Indiana, eighteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and one sister, Catherine (Jug) Stilwell of Royal Center, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her former spouse, Paul Smith, Sr., one son, Paul “Doc” Smith, Jr., one grandson, Ernest “Ernie” Armstrong III and siblings: Joan Daugherty and Dave Weaver.
Visitation from 5-8pm EDT on Thursday, July 9 at Frain Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 11am EDT on Friday, July 10 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tippecanoe Twp.-Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Monterey. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.

NORMA JEAN TIPPY
KNOX (BASS LAKE) IN - Norma Jean Tippy, 93, died Sunday, July 5, 2026. She was born January 21, 1933 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Stephen and Marie (Ribicki) Teibel. On November 25, 1954 she married Robert P. Tippy. He died January 30, 2022. Norma, as a young girl and into adulthood, excelled in softball and golf. She grew up working in the family restaurant, Teibel’s in Schererville, Indiana. She had also helped with her husband’s business-Tippy’s Big Top Tires. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two children: Paulette (Gordon Quisenberry) Gibbs of Greencastle, Indiana and Thomas J. Tippy of Plymouth, Indiana, four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeff Tippy and one brother, Harold Teibel.
Services will be held Friday, July 10, with visitation 2 hour prior to services at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Knox. Burial will be in the Bass Lake Cemetery in Knox. Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Indianapolis.
