CORNELIA LILLIAN “CONNIE” RUHBECK

Huron, OH - Cornelia Lillian “Connie” Ruhbeck, 90, of Huron, OH passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was born on January 9, 1935 in Chicago, IL to the late Gilbert and Lillian [Otten] Anema. She grew up in Roseland, IL and Tinley Park, IL. Connie married Donald Griffin on January 19, 1953 who preceded her in death in 1979. Connie later married Vernon Ruhbeck on February 23, 1993 who preceded her in death in 1995.

Connie worked hard throughout her life. In her younger years, she worked as an elevator operator at the Palmer House Hotel. She was a bus driver for many years and retired as the transportation coordinator from Pulaski County Human Services in Winamac, IN. She is survived by: Donald (Kathy Ruhbeck) Griffin, Jr., Son and Step Daughter, David (Nicole) Griffin, Son, Daniel (Amy) Griffin, Son, Darryl (Kathy) Griffin, Son, Ed (Dawn) Ruhbeck, Step Son, Steve (Diane) Ruhbeck, Step Son 17 Grandchildren & 16 GreatGrandchildren

Preceded in death by: Donald Griffin, Sr., First Husband, Vernon Ruhbeck, Second Husband, Lenore “Lee” Clausen Kolar, Sister, Gilbert Anema, Brother, Wayne Anema, Brother Cremation will take place at Frain Crematory in Winamac, IN.

Memorial Visitation will be from 11 AM – 3 PM EDT Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Pulaski County Human Services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.

RICKY DWAYNE HOFFER

North Judson, IN - Ricky Dwayne Hoffer, 58 years old of North Judson, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 in Valparaiso, Indiana.

He was born Thursday, April 20, 1967 in Knox, Indiana, Son of the late Dannie Hoffer Sr. and Thelma(Puckett) Hoffer. Ricky was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Knox. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf and the Chicago Cubs. His greatest passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Surviving are Mother, Thelma Hoffer of North Judson, Indiana, Son, Brennon(McKenna) Bickel of North Judson, Indiana, 2 grandchildren, Brother, Dannie(Becky) Hoffer Jr of North Judson, Indiana, Brother, Ronald Avery Hoffer of Mishawaka, Indiana, Brother, Noah Michael Hoffer of Mishawaka, Indiana, Sister, Amber Renae Hoffer of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Kelly Ann Hoffer of Rochester, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father Dannie Hoffer Sr. Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service at 1 PM, Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 1 PM with Rev. Robert Keehn officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery, North Judson, IN 46366. Memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church.

PATRICIA JOAN “PAT” RINGEN

Winamac, IN - Patricia Joan “Pat” Ringen, 90, of Winamac, IN passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on September 21, 1934 in Chicago, IL to the late Maurice John and Bertha Amelia [Stadt] Danaher. Pat grew up in Palos Park, IL and raised in the Catholic Church. On March 29, 1952, she married Clarence F. Ringen in Francesville, IN. He passed away on April 2, 2011. For many years, Pat was employed at a factory in Leiter’s Ford, IN and took pride in her work. Her greatest joy, however, was in being a wife and mother. Pat was a terrific cook who always made sure supper was on the table every night for her family. She enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, and crafting. Christmastime was especially important to Pat and she always made sure it was special for her family. The addition of grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought tremendous joy to Pat’s heart. She loved her family so deeply and will be sadly missed. She is survived by:

CHRISTOPHER ALLEN BIDDLE

Monterey, IN - Christopher Allen Biddle, 68 years old of Monterey, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

He was born Thursday, March 21, 1957 in Logansport, Indiana, Son of the late Alice Biddle.

He worked as a Machinist Mill Right.

Surviving are Brother, Jeffery(Cheryl) Scott Biddle of Hartz Lake, Indiana, 5 grandchildren: Grace Hjertquist, Nova Lee Hjertquist, Paige Hite, Liberty Hite and Addison Hite.

He was preceded in death by mother Alice Biddle.

Services will be held at Hertz Lake Cemetery, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10 AM CST, Braman and Son Memorial Chapel of Knox, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.

Interment will follow in the Hertz Lake Cemetery, Monterey, Indiana.

DAVIS WILLIAM REED

North Judson, IN - Davis William Reed, 76 years old of North Judson, Indiana, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 26, 2025. He was born Thursday, September 30, 1948 in Knox, Indiana, Son of the late Floyd Reed and the late Dovie(Troyer) Reed. David graduated fron North Judson-San Pierre High School in 1967. David enlisted in the United States Army at an early age. He served in Korea before his discharge. He enjoyed being around friends, family and the neighbor kids, who adopted him as a grandfather figure. He also loved fishing and hunting. He worked as a laborer at American Oak for many years until heath complications. Surviving are Son, Troy Reed of Austin, Texas, Daughter, Elaine Richie of North Judson, Indiana, 3 grandsons, Brother, Floyd(Vonda) Reed Jr of Knox, Indiana, Brother, Jeffery(Rosemary) Reed of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Shirley Goble of Eauclaire, Michigan, Sister, Shelia Messer of Knox, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna(Fugate) Reed, brothers Gregory, Robert, Mark, Joseph and Richard Reed and sisters Patricia Hazlett and Phyllis Burnett. Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service at 1 PM, Thursday, July 31 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana. Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 1 PM with Joe Reed officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Park Cemetery, Knox, Indiana. Memorial may be made to the family.
