KNOX - Eric B. Richardson, 47, died Sunday, July 12, 2026. He was born October 18, 2026 in Hammond, Indiana.
Eric enjoyed gardening, grilling, experimenting with new recipes and caring for the people he loved. He is survived by his sons: Brandon and Noah Richardson, his mother, Nancy Richardson and siblings: Melody (Rick) Mullins, Melinda (Linda) Stanley, Michelle (Rich) Davenport, Amber (Travis) Davis, Jerry (Katherine) Richardson Jr. and Darrell (Kristina) Richardson. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Richardson Sr.
Services were held Thursday, July 16 at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial was in the Round Lake Cemetery in Knox.
Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
JOHN G. GOBLE
WINAMAC - John G. “Jack” Goble, 89, died Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac. He was born January 10, 1937 in Francesville, Indiana to the late Purl T. and Gladys O. (Evernham) Goble. On December 23, 1956 in Monon, Indiana, he married Carol A. McDonald. She died in 1985. On June 7, 1987 in Winamac, he married Terry L. Brockett. She died in 2008. On March 5, 2011 in Winamac, he married Joyce A. Bailey. Jack earned a Master’s Degree from Purdue and worked as a soil specialist. He dedicated most of his working life to Farm Bureau Co-Op. He was a Civil War buff and cherished his trips to Civil War battle grounds. He enjoyed time spent with his family. He was a longtime member of the Winamac First United Methodist Church, Gideon’s International and Winamac Lions Club International.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, five daughters: Shirley A. Shidler and Juleen R. Bailey, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, Susan A. (Bill) Goble Morris of Rochester, Indiana, Wendy K. (David) Wohlpart of Doylestown, Pennsylvania and Jennifer L. Belcher of Winamac, Stuart A. (Doris) Goble of Upland, Indiana, Steven T. (Lori) Brockett of Dallas, Texas, Michael D. Brockett of Indianapolis, Glenn A. (Dawn) Bailey of Winamac and David W. (Amy) Bailey of Star City, Indiana, twenty one grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Scott A. Goble, one grandson, Will Morris and siblings: Gareth D. Goble, Betty E. Doll and Shirley A. Overman.
Services were held Saturday, July 18 at Winamac First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Herron officiating. Burial was in the Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac. Memorials may be made to the Winamac First United Methodist Church or Gideon’s International.
Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
KENNETH WAYNE ELLIS, SR.
NORTH JUDSON, IN - Kenneth Wayne Ellis, Sr., 74 died Friday, July 10, 2026 at Northwest Porter Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born May 6, 1952 in Janesville, Wisconsin to the late Albert and Virginia (Reynolds) Ellis. On February 24, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois, he married Karen Simnick.
Kenneth was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He had worked as a salesman for Pro-Way Carpet Cleaning before owning and operating his own companyPerfect Touch Carpet Cleaning. He enjoyed fishing and watching Fox news. He was an avid Chicago Sports fan, cheering for the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks. He loved his family very much.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, three daughters: Patricia Ellis, Brandy Robinson, Kristin (Daniel) Tosi, two sons, Kenneth Wayne (Jacyln) Ellis, Jr. and Kurt Ellis, one step son, Gary Teune, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one sister, Rebecca Wood and two step brothers: Charles and John Gloeckler. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Antoinette Ellis and siblings: Albert Ellis, Jr., Alberta Revels, Richard Ellis, Rodney Ellis, Francis Maggleson, Roger Ellis, Brenda Nelson, Linda Hamilton and Rita Bragg.
Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac, Indiana.
ALLEN GRANT CORNELIUS
KNOX - Allen Grant Cornelius, 60, of Knox, Indiana, died at his home on Friday, July 17. Allen was born and lived his entire life in Knox, making many friends along the way.
Allen was a good friend, and skilled carpenter. A graduate of Knox High School, Allen grew up playing football and wrestling, and he stayed close with many of his school friends. He volunteered with ABATE, and loved to help raise funds for the Christmas toy drive and throw hog roasts.
A celebration of life will be held at the Knox VFW on August 15, 2026 from 1pm to 5pm (ct). Bring a story to tell and a memory of Allen to share. We’ll bring the pork, and the beer signs.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Shilla Cornelius; his brother, Jason Cornelius; his sister, Carolla Heilstedt; his partner, Brigitte Tholl Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
