NICHOLASVILLE, KY - Ricky Matthew Tolson, 72, died Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born April 30, 1953 in Knox, Indiana to Betty and Ray Tolson. Rick graduated from North Judson High School, received his Bachelor of Science from New Hampshire College and his MBA from Indiana University. He served in the US Air Force in Avionics before beginning a long and distinguished career in Hospital Administration. He felt that he was blessed with a wonderful life. He is survived by his wife, Tina, two daughters: Saree Wilson and Hannah Tolson, five grandchildren, his mother, Betty Tolson and one brother, Barry Tolson. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Tolson.
SANDRA L. DUNN
WINAMAC, IN - Sandra L. “Babe” Dunn, 79, died at 11am, Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at her home. She was born February 17, 1946 in Winamac to the late Josiah and Mary (Smith) Scott. On March 17, 1973, she married Sewell E. Dunn. Sandra co-owned and operated Winamac Service Station for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee, Bunco, watching game shows and taking care of her dog. She is survived by her husband, Sewell, two daughters: Kim (Rob) Spradling of Logansport, Indiana and Edwina Jansen of Winamac, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and siblings: Jim Scott of Florida and Joanne Owen of Winamac. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Shane Keller and brothers: Earl Scott and John Scott. There are no services per Sandra’s wishes. and a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements were made by Rans Funeral Home and Crematory, Winamac Chapel.
COLLEEN HANNON O’CONNOR
VALPARAISO, IN - Colleen Hannon O’Connor, 96, died Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Aviva Living Center in Valparaiso, Indiana. She was raised on the south side of Chicago by Gladys and Michael Hannon. she married Timothy R. O’ Connor and they moved to Winamac, Indiana and raised their family on a small family farm. She was part of the inaugural Dairy Queen team, a dedicated Red Cross blood bank volunteer, a St. Joseph Catholic church member and Christian Mother member. She enjoyed being a grandmother and hosting holidays and gatherings. She is survived by her children: Edward (Nancy) O’Connor, Linda (Gilbert) Arzola, Rebecca Stauffer, John (Vickie) O’Connor, Heather (Dave) Pendery, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy, her parents and siblings. Per her wishes a private family service will be held with burial following in the St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Winamac. Memorials may be made to Dunes Hospice. Arrangements were made by Rans Funeral Home and Crematory, Winamac Chapel.

GEORGE ROBERT FUGATE
WINAMAC, IN - George Robert Fugate, 91, died Monday, December 29, 2025 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home @ Winamac in Winamac, Indiana. He was born August 6, 1934 in Gary, Indiana to the late Robert Potter and Maude Fay (Crane) Fugate. On April 5, 1953 in Winamac, he married Phyllis Jean Hutchcraft. She died December 18, 2015. George graduated from Winamac High School and served in the Army National Guard and the US Army Reserves. He retired after 37 years as a lineman for NIPSCO. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winamac and a member of the Royal Center Lodge #585 F&AM and Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend. He received his Award of Gold in 2008. He is survived by one son, Gilbert Fugate, two daughters: Theresa (Paul) Davis and Pamela Crum, five grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Jean Fugate and one brother, Andrew Fugate. Private burial will take place in the Winamac Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pulaski Animal Center. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

FRANCESVILLE, IN - Eldora Louise “Dorie” (Schini) Bonges, 100, died Friday, January 2, 2026. She was born January 9, 1925 in Remington, Indiana to the late George and Regina (Zimmerman) Schini. On June 1, 1963, in Buckley, Illinois, she married Henry August “Hank” Bonges Jr. Dorie graduated from Gilboa High School in 1943. She worked at Gutwein Milling Company in Francesville and Von Tobel Lumber Company in Remington before going to nursing school. In 1952, she graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lafayette. She then worked at the Rankin Children’s Home in Rankin, Illinois. She also helped care for her mother and seven of her siblings at the end of their lives. She was a published author and wrote a book about her childhood and other life experiences. Dorie was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by two sons: Dale “Kevin” Bonges of Newburgh, Indiana and Henry August (Margaret “Mickey”) Bonges III of Milton, Vermont, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank, one daughter, Julianna “Julie” Lewie, ten siblings: Anna Schneider, Marie Schini, Esther “Essie” Schlipf, Emilie Anliker, Bertha Gudeman, Nathalia “Nettie” Schini, Alma Bahler, Albert Schini, George Schini and Walter Schini. Visitation will be from 4-7pm EST on Thursday, January 8 at Frain Mortuary. Services will be at 10am EST on Friday, January 9 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville. A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm EST on Friday at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Loda, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian World Relief Haiti Fund, the Loving Shepherd Ministries Haiti Fund or Parkview Haven in Francesville. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Francesville.
