TODD ALAN NORRELL
MEDARYVILLE, IN - Todd Alan Norrell, 48, died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Community Hospital in Munster, Indiana. He was born July 17, 1977 in Marietta, Georgia to Carolyn and James Norrell.
Todd attended Cherokee High School in Canton, Georgia. He enjoyed playing music and could play several instruments, singing, reading and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Misty Kerby, his children: Montana (Kenny) Norrell of DeMotte, Indiana, Hunter (Alyssa) Norrell of Winamac, Indiana and Halen Norrell of Medaryville, step children: Bailey and Max Kerby, both of Medaryville, his mother, Carolyn Norrell and brother, Brian Norrell, both of Cartersville, Georgia.
Arrangements were made by O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. in North Judson, Indiana.
DAVID LYNN MCMANAWAY
NORTH JUDSON, IN - David Lynn McManaway, 70, died Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was born November 20, 1954 in Roseville, Kentucky to the late Edward and Juanitta (Jackson) McManaway. On March 7, 1974, he married Debra Beasley.
Dave worked 30 years as a welder and then after retirement, he operated a small engine repair business. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing cards, shooting pool and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Debra, three children: Shannon (Michael) Hoekman of Knox, Indiana, Amber (Dustin) Taulbee of San Pierre, Indiana and Bo (Chessy) McManaway of North Judson, seven grandchildren and three siblings: Debbie (Gerald) Burks, Donald (Denise) McManaway and Leisa (Joey) Porter.
Services were held Saturday, February 14 at the O’Donnell Funeral Home. Burial was in the Denham Cemetery in Denham, Indiana.
Arrangements were made by O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. in North Judson.
ETHEL NORDYKE
WINAMAC, IN - FORMERLY OF CALUMET CITY, IL - Ethel Nordyke, 84 died Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the Pulaski County Health Care Center in Winamac, Indiana. She was born July 10, 1941 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Andrew and Rita (Chandler) Szymoniak. On October 22, 1965 in St. John, Indiana, she married Wayne Nordyke.
Ethel had worked as a cook throughout her life and had retired from Hickory Creek @ Winamac. She was a member of Army/ Navy Garrison #146 in South Bend, Indiana and also the Ladies Auxiliaries of the FOE #2580 in Winamac and the Redman Lodge #518 in Monticello, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne, four grandchildren, one step grandson, two great grandsons, two adopted grandsons and one brother, Albert (Nancy) Szymoniak. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Nordyke Sr.
Private burial was in the Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
CLEADA J. ARBUCKLE
NORTH JUDSON, IN - Cleada
J. “Sonny” Arbuckle, 85, died Thursday, February 19, 2026 at her home. She was born May 30, 1940.
Sonny built a life centered in faith, family and loving people well and enjoyed a life of simple pleasures.
She is survived by her husband, Danny, three children: David (Tammy) VanVolkenburg, Debra Sandusky and Daniel (Patricia) Van Volkenburg, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and siblings: Hillard Fletcher, Mabel (Eddie) Staerkel, Chat (Sharon) Fletcher, Robby (Linda) Fletcher, Ethel Pariso Center, Roy Fletcher, Ruth Vandola Buford, Patricia (Philip) Rudd, Janice (Curtis) Ropp and Avanell Sue Mason. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Erving VanVolkenburg, her parents, Mary Ethel Montgomery Fletcher and Asberry Fletcher and siblings: Evaleance Miller, Marcum “Nig” Fletcher, Velva Jane Salyer, Mavadean Fletcher, Wayne Fletcher and Billy Ray Fletcher.
Services were held Tuesday, February 24 at the O’Donnell Funeral Home. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery in North Judson.

DOYLE V. ROTH
LOGANSPORT, IN - FORMERLY OF PULASKI, IN - Doyle V. Roth, 96, died Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport, Indiana. He was born February 13, 1930 in Headlee, Indiana to the late Isadore V. and Gloria M. (Snow) Roth. On July 19, 1969, in Watseka, Illinois, he married Joyce D. (Freshwater) Poenix.
Doyle graduated from Royal Center High School in 1948. He was a proud American veteran and longtime member of the American Legion Post #60. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski. He had worked at the Kingsbury Ordinance Plant and the Thornhope Elevator and was a lifelong farmer. He also worked at RCA in Monticello, Indiana and retirend from Wilson Foods in Logansport. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed horseshoe pitching, listening to country and bluegrass music, trapping, fishing, riding horses, mushroom and coon hunting and growing a vegetable garden.
He is survived by four sons: Michael A. (Charlotte) Roth of Logansport, Patrick I. (Jerri) Roth and Timothy W. (companion, Christine) Roth, both of Idaville, Indiana and Thomas Jay (Jillie) Roth of Monticello, two daughters: Angie (Chuck) Henry of Royal Center and Julia Poenix (Richard) Zarse of West Lafayette, Indiana, thirteen great grandchildren and one brother, Ronald I. (Marlene) Roth, Sr. of Star City, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, one son, Mark Poenix, two great grandsons and four sisters: Arvilla Thornbury, Charlotte Berger, Phyllis Foerg and Dolores Gading.
Services were held Monday, February 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Dennis Faker officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery Cemetery South in Pulaski. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Cemetery South.

ROBERT J. JACHIM
Robert J. “Bob” Jachim, 87, of North Judson, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 20 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac. He was born on Nov. 2, 1938 in North Judson to the late Rudolph “Rudy” and Mary Jachim. After graduating from the 8th grade at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic School, he attended North Judson High School, graduating in 1956. There, he played the trumpet in the North Judson School Junior Band and the North Judson High School Band. He enrolled in Purdue University and graduated in 1960 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. He proudly played in the Purdue Symphonic Band and the Purdue All American Marching Band. In 1956, he played in the 30 member Plymouth Sabers Drum and Bugle Corp, sponsored by the Plymouth American Legion Post #27. On Feb. 6, 1961, he enlisted in the Army Reserve, serving in Battery A, 5th Battalion, 60th Artillery and was promoted to Supply Sergeant. He was Honorably Discharged on Feb. 5, 1967, with the rank of Staff Sergeant E-6. On Aug. 11, 1962, he married Kay Royce at the SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with a High Mass celebrated by Father Ladislaus Krause. Bob’s professional career spanned 43 years, working as a pharmacist for Petry Rexall Drug Store in North Judson; Hook Drugs in DeMotte, Winamac and North Judson; four years in the LaPorte Hospital Pharmacy; and CVS, where he retired in 2003. He served as chief pharmacist and store manager at Hook Drugs in Winamac and North Judson. At Petry’s, he was a pharmacy consultant for Little Company of Mary Nursing Home in San Pierre. He often worked over 80 hours per week to provide for his family. Bob was very active in his church and his community. He served on the Parish Council at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church; was a charter member of the North Judson Jaycees and served as president in 1967; was on the North Judson Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years and held the office of treasurer for several years; worked for the O’Donnell Funeral Home part-time for three years; and became a certified EMT in 1975 and worked as a volunteer for the Starke County Ambulance Service. He was a charter member of its board of directors and worked as an EMT for six years. Bob was an active member of the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in North Judson. He became a member in 1989 and served on the board of directors and as treasurer. He was also involved in caring for the St. Jacob’s Catholic Cemetery in North Judson, assuming the role of cemetery caretaker and served in that role for 30 years. He served on and was chairman of the cemetery board and was instrumental in many aspects of the cemetery. Bob was a member of American Legion Post #92 in North Judson and served several years as the Post Chaplin. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters since 1947. A motto that he has tried to live up to is, “If I could be of some help to someone as I pass their way, then my life will be worth living.” In thinking about his death, he hoped that Jesus would take him by the hand and say something like, “Well, Bob, certainly not perfect, but you tried hard and all-in-all, not a bad job.” He is survived by his wife, Kay (Royce) Jachim; daughter Donna (Herbert) Galbreath; sons: Steve (Renee) Jachim and Mike (Sherri) Jachim; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents: Rudolph “Rudy” and Mary Jachim; and brother James “Jim” Jachim. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at O’Donnell Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. CT time on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at O’Donnell Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 26 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in North Judson. Burial following at St. Jacob’s Catholic Cemetery in North Judson. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Judson Fire Department or to the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum. Arrangements have been entrusted to O’Donnell Funeral Home in North Judson.
