DEBBIE MORGAN
CROWN POINT, IN - Debbie Morgan, 69, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in Merrillville, Indiana. She was born January 17, 1957 in Knox, Indiana to the late Robert and Mary (Brown) Baughman. On August 7, 1982 in Knox, she married Jay Morgan.
Debbie enjoyed fishing, dancing and loved spending time with her family. She had worked as a cook.
She is survived by her husband, Jay, one son, Jacob Morgan of Goodland, Indiana, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Baughman and siblings: Brenda Joseph and Tony Baughman.
Services were held Saturday, April 11 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial was in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.

BOURBONNAIS, IL - FORMERLY OF WILMINGTON, IL - Marcia
Jane Dorsey, 81, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the Citadel of Bourbonnais, Illinois. She was born September 13, 1944 in Joliet, Illinois to the late James Richard and Freida Jane (Hopkins) Dorsey.
She is survived by two sisters: Diane Dorsey of Chicago, Illinois and Bridget Justen of Denver, North Carolina.
Burial will be in the Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac, Indiana.
Local arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
JANET M. WALLEN
KNOX, IN - Janet M. Wallen, 82, died Monday, April 6, 2026. She was born August 15, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Roy and Hazel Curry.
Janet enjoyed working with her husband, Rev. Charles Wallen, as Assistant Youth Minister at the Bible Baptist Church and then at New Hope Baptist Church, working on Vacation Bible School and Christmas programs. She also enjoyed her time working as a home-health nurse and “Grammy Nights” spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Connie Suz (Pat) McEntee of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, Kristina (Aaron Lowe) Horn of Knox and Charlene (James) Decker of Chesterton, Indiana, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one sister, Virginia Bigelow of Brick, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles Wallen, one great granddaughter, Ryann Redelman and two brothers: Roy and Eugene Curry.
Services were held Monday, April 13 at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial was in the Round Lake Cemetery in Knox.

SUE ANN KELLER
SUMMERVILLE, SC - Sue Ann Keller, 84, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026. She was born in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Lester and Emma (Hampton) Hughes. Sue was a 1959 graduate of Plymouth High School and earned a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and a Master’s Degree in Microbiology from Notre Dame. She taught microbiology lab to nursing students at Saint Mary’s College in Indiana and middle school science at both Aramco Schools in Saudi Arabia and the Indiana School of Naples (Italy) as well as Berkeley County Public Schools in South Carolina. She earned certificates in various Bible topics and taught multiple Bible Studies.
She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Gordon and Mary O’Callaghan, five grandchildren and one great grandson.
A memorial services will be held at her church, Old Fort Baptist in Summerville. Internment was in the New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth.
Local arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox, Indiana.
FLORENCE KATHERINE KACAFIREK TUMBACK
NORTH JUDSON, IN - Florence Katherine Kacafirek Tumback, 98, died Sunday, April 5, 2026 at the Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac, Indiana. She was born November 23, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frank and Catherine (Canton) Kacafirek. On July 22, 1950, she married Joseph Tumback. He died in 2011.
Florence graduated from Lomax school in 1945. She was very active in the North Judson community, Democratic Party of Starke County, License branch, trustee, part owner of a gas station, restaurant and owner of Village Discount Furniture Store. She was also a 76-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Chester and Frank and one sister, Mary Cieslak.
Graveside services were held at the Highland Cemetery in North Judson.
Arrangements were made by O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. in North Judson.
JUDITH A. LEMARR
NORTH JUDSON, IN - Judith A. Lemarr, 73, died Thursday, April 9, 2026 at her home. She was born June 3, 1952 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late Wilburn and Margaret (Newman) Jenkins.
Judith was an active member and loved attending church at the Free United Baptist Church in North Judson.
She is survived by her children: David Lemarr of Winamac, Indiana, Kimberly A. (Brandon) Campbell of North Judson and Matthew M. Lemarr of Knox, Indiana, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one sister, Kandie (Richard) Forest of Kewanna, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lemarr and siblings: Linda Howard and Jimmy, Bobby and Danny Decker.
Services were held on Monday, April 13 at the Free United Baptist Church. Burial was in the Oak Park Cemetery in Knox.
Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
KRISSANDRA GALE
KNOX, IN - Krissandra “Sandy” Gale, 43, died Monday, April 6, 2026 in Knox, Indiana. She was born February 26, 1983 to the late John Gale Sr. and Anne (Greybiehl) Gale.
Sandy enjoyed crafting and made it into a small business. She also enjoyed attending her college classes and spending time with her family. She was a housewife.
She is survived by her fiancé, Zachary Minix and one son, Jaxon John Minix, both of Knox, three brothers: John Gale Jr. of Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin, Michael Gale of Oaklawn, Illinois and Paul (Renee) Gale of Mokena, Illinois and four sisters: Katheryn Gale of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Victoria Ozmina of Chicago, Illinois, Mary Lou (Robert) Povinlos of Crete, Illinois and Renee (Michael) Adams of Burbank, Illinois.
Friends will be received from 11am till time of service at 1pm on Saturday, April 18, at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 1pm with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.
